The idea that Jaghatai wanted to spend as much time with Horus and Magnus as possible is really wholesome to me. I think they were some of the few Primarchs who could truly understand him, which makes their betrayal so heartbreaking.
@@owenparris7490 it also make's Jaghatai's stand against Chaos all the more impressive. He didn't follow his heart. Instead, he took a careful, thorough, and well-informed look at the facts, and then chose the side that undervalued him, doubted him, and barely remembered his existence because it was the right thing to do for Mankind.
I've always enjoyed the scenes in the series where the brothers just talk and behave like brothers.
Logar wanting to "save" Angron for families sake, Guilliman wanting a family dinner when the Crusade was over, Vulcan wanting to just be a Farmer if he could do it all over again... all this scenes

@@leonardovegaolmedo5483 this is absolutely true!!! Their conversation is also proof to me that even after Prospero, Magnus may not have been beyond salvation. It wasn't just Russ, but the Emperor and the Imperium as a whole that caused his fall.
@@leonardovegaolmedo5483oh hands down, the khan speaking to Magnus on the remains of Prospero always makes my heart ache. Magnus is nearly gone, fragmented and Jaghatai just...seems heartbroken. "I came looking for a friend[...] I thought that if nothing else, I could still come to you for council." Made sadder when the shard of Magnus accepts their fate and lets the Khan 'kill' him, but not before his brother asks how to restore him, before finishing their conversation.
"Until we meet again under starlight."
"Sooner than you may think."
In a grim dark universe, White Scars laying into orks in all-out war on flat terrain is the closest we’re gonna get to a joyful, happy story
BRING ALL THE RELIC JETBIKES AND SETUP WATCH ZONES FOR BLOOD RAVENS LESGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
This entire thing is just:
"Hey, White Scars. We're sending you far away from the support of the Imperium as a whole to fight long and arduous battles against orks. You're effectively going into exile to hunt down every single Ork."
And the White Scars are going: "Shit man, you had us at 'far away', let's fucking gooooo!"
Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life
Not only that, but the Orks get an all-out war! Everybody wins!
Looking forward to how Occulus tries to disentangle the Hydra's knot with Chondax, I can already see the veins popping in the next few epsidoes 😂

Beautiful opening image, at first thought they were being generous by having Abbadon as tall as Dorn. Then you realise it's Loken. Seeing the Khagan, happy for his brother while utterly excluded from the idea of Ullanor. I think it's great Oculus, how you've made philosophical pieces about the good Black Book included lore, but not just battle or strategy.
What people thought, and why is excellently narrated; much like you somehow made the decisions Dorn needed to make for Istvaan V, barely a blink in the lore, very clever.
I think that particular figure in the opening image is meant to be either Sejanus or Torgaddon; Loken wasn't a member of the Mournival or an otherwise prominent in Horus' inner circle at the time of Ullanor, and he doesn't bear a strong enough resemblance to Horus to be Aximand
Love how mr occulus put a touch of his pov as a historian in commentary on the reductive perception of the white scars.
Praise Oculus, the emperor and his overzealous servants for this video.. And praise Nurgle for leaving Oculus alone for 5mins..
