Build your own FT Simple Cub! store.flitetest.com/flite-test-simple-cub-get-started-package-flt-5007-bdl/p791874
FliteTest U guys should try and make a plane fly using the Magnus effect
you should make an fpv with a single joystick control like you are in a real plane
flite test how did you add the fpv camera? [cool videos to]
I don’t have the tools to make it
Alex, you are a really good teacher. You stay calm and speak in gentle tones and keep your student very relaxed. That's really important. You also give very positive feedback. If I didn't already know how to fly, I'd want you to teach me. I really love that you built that plane for Jeremy and gave it to him all finished and painted up nice. That was very sweet. And Jeremy, awesome job! I've been watching you from when you first picked up a transmitter, and you have come so far in so many ways. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Jeremy, thanks Alex ! Very cool watching Jeremy's progress from his initial flights, his builds, and now FPV. It's especially interesting because I'm making a move to the fixed wings, (building a fpv Mini Talon) I've never flown a rc plane before so of course I've been watching Jeremy (and Alex of course) and I'm taking alot of mental notes. I'm glad I found this channel. I've been watching the previous videos from the last several years. (oh my gosh, you guys have made a ton of videos, lol.) Congrats to Josh B and the guys and girls at FliteTest on their new awesome facility, and thank you FliteTest for making fun, clean language, and enjoyable videos that everyone can relate to. So glad you guys don't have cussing and foul language in your videos, it shows alot of class and integrity.
I just love how supportive y'all are of each other!
Jeramey you did really well, great job. After 26 years in RC, this year is the first FPV. Literally, 4 flights as of now and you did much better than me. Jealous here, but enjoyed every second, learned a lot about airspeed and low altitude. Most of my first times were spent lost, too high and looking for landmarks. Yet, knew I loved it.
I've been here sense you guys brought out the original 3 ft Delta, nutball, and flyer. Love you guys and it's amazing to see you grow! You're the reason I've been able to get into flying
I love how positive and encouraging this video is to listen to.
Many years ago, _LONG_ before the miniaturization of the video systems available today, I was looking into something similar. My idea was a B-17 or B-24 type with a camera pointed through the "glass" nose having at least 4 mirrors in a truncated pyramid. Back when I was wet-dreaming this it would have involved about 3 or 4 pounds of video gear alone for the FPV aspect. Now you can do it ALL in well under a pound in weight.
This is one of my favorite Flite test videos ever, I have loved this whole series of teaching Jeremy to fly it has been awesome and this long fpv video was so cool!
FPV airsoft dogfight would be awesome please consider it
Paint balls are heavier but leave evidence of hits.
Dont they do 6mm paintballs?
@@chrish1590 they do
@@theflyingbrit6345 if you respect your equipment, don't EVER put those through your guns. Only thing you should ever use them in are crappy springers
@@rumpleman4569 airsoft g
Can you build an SR-71 Blackbird next please
Who agrees?
I also think they should do a ju87 too
Yes they should and maybe make it like the EDF afterburner
@@jethrobaird3453 I am re-developing a edf afterburner system to put on a jet at the moment, this. is. hard.
I have plans for 1 lol was a balsa kit it 1\5 scale I think lol
Yes, awesome idea!
Glad I watched this one! My newly finished FT Simple Cub is sitting ready-to-fly on the dining room table. I've flown gliders for ages but this is only my second powered plane, the first was an 049 powered thing and was about 35 years ago! The video had some great tips... thank you!
My heart pounds Everytime I watch these videos. I fell in love with RC plans. You guys help make this happen! Thx man 👍
I’d love to see one of these where the FPV camera is on a turret that turns when the person controlling it turns their head. And the turret would be in a scale cockpit. I saw a video of something like that in a large scale P51 once. It looked very cinematic
You’ve been hit by a “little bit” of rain? It looks like it’s time for you to build the RC Ark or something.
Wow! I did the build/crash/repair/fly a bit thing back in the late 1960's, all on fuel, of course.. Built a Heathkit 4 channel system and made my own pc boards. My, how the sport has changed!!!!! You guys are great!
Nice Video! Also mad props to that dude flying the drone following that airplane. those were some mad wingman skills =D
I'm one of those "new" subscribers within the last 30 days. Absolutely LOVE this channel! Been going back through all your previous videos to see everything you guys create. Keep it up!
Great to see more content with Jeremy flying. Great to see you are still enjoying the hobby!
GOOD Job Jeremy!! You're a fast learner. 👍👍
I've been here since Josh was Scratchbuilding ONLY! Speed Build Kits weren't even OUT yet. You guys have done SO much for the Hobby.
Another EPIC Video!!
Carmine ✈🚂🚙
I am really enjoying your videos and tutorials, recently I've been getting into flight (mostly rc planes) and thanks to you guys I'm able to build planes and fly them with my dad
What a sweet fpv build. Sooo smooth
I love that this channel is still growing after so long
Very nice video. Love the 1:1 buddy teaches you have been doing lately with different aspects of the hobby.
Central New York (Not New York City!) is right there with ya with this "lovely" weather, FT Crew! I love seeing Jeremy learning new things as well.
It's like the hottest it has ever been here in Belgium
Best video in a while! Lots of flying and lots of fun! Thank you guys!
Dude is a great coach!
put a fpv camera on a badminton bird that is on a sting behind the plane for a 3rd person view
Kinda like a paramotor chase cam. They could just tow a typical chase cam (like Tucker Gott) with a big plane. Cool idea dude!
Channeling your inner Tucker Gott!
Great idea!
I had a similar thought. Only have the FPV cam mounted on a drone set to track and follow at a set distance. You'd probably have to program separate tracking for the camera gimbol and the drone chase tracking.
Nice to see you guys back. Been missing the builds
Enjoyed watching this video. Great stuff. Props to the FT Team!😎
Build the biggest foam board plane that u can possibly build
theonly 1 the ten foot wide a10 warthog was pretty cool
does it have to be foam??
They could build a airliner if they had the resources
I agree that four channel was easier to learn. I tried both on RealFlight before deciding which wing to use on my Tiny Trainer. Ailerons were easier on the simulator (using the 1.5 Timber) for me.
When I went to maiden my Tiny Trainer, it went great.
I really enjoy these videos with Jeremy following his progress from new pilot forward.
Love this video you guys are an amazing encouragement for new people to the hobby. I am wanting to get into flying planes but don't know where to start. Frankly though being out of work is making this much harder to do. I have learned so much from you guys in the last few months going over years of your guys videos. Keep doing what you guys are doing you are such a positive influence for this hobby. Thank You from Washington State.
There are lots of jobs out there if you are able bodied and of sound mind. Good luck and stay off drugs and alcohol.
@@polyscient Oh I know there are lots of jobs out there however still working on this. Never into Drugs or Alcohol. Thank You for your input God Bless.
Awesome skills Jeremy!!!
Ill keep watching you guys!!! 🙂🙂 Keep on making unique planes. Im from the philippines. Wish to meet you one day guys. Great channel!!!
It's much immersive when the cam is in the cockpit.. Got some vids on my channel from my first tries :D
I love your videos and they inspired me to build more and more thanks for getting me in the hobby.
Love you guys
Awesome job Jeremy !
Cool thing I've found with spektrum is that you can set to a maintained switch for your trainer switch and as soon as the master moves a stick regardless of switch position takes over it's quite nice.
Keep up the great work.
Great video. You guys so lucky to have such great friends to build and fly with. Awesome subject matter. I am envious. I want to build and fly this bird but dunno where to start. Ha ha.
Jeremy is awesome love his unique approach to building, Alex love your crazy builds especially that flat wing with the 360 cam. Couldn't believe how well it flew, also you shed some pounds didn't you? Great video guys! 👊
You guys inspired me to start modeling and now I have a hobby besides video games
If you're gonna do head tracking, try some formation flying. Formation flying is a blast with head tracking (especially using warbirds)
this episode feels kinda like back in the days, when FPV started...just in a newer version with a lot bigger Flitetest;)
Just a simple relaxing video👍
Awesome fun!!
Hey guys, I always dreamed about RC carrier landings with operational tail hook and arresting cables! In addition, please introduce and advocate this concept to be entered in official AMA sanctioned competitions, similar to prop control line contests. However, also include jets with either ducted fans or turbines. Scale would be awesome, but FPV Carrier Scale event would be even awesomer, bringing our sport to a whole new level!
All that water AFTER you did the battleship episode. Also whoever wrote that piece of music from 13 minutes onward is a wizard. Such a nice tune to listen to.
Great video,love the stuff y'all do,awesome.
Yay Jeremy! Nicely done!
Once you try FPV, old fashioned line of sight flying feels like a secondary way to fly. It sure looked like Jeremy was catching the bug that so many of us have!
I know I am kind of asking a lot and this would likely take a lot of work and several videos, but I think I am not the only one that would love to see this. You did a video a year or so ago with a plane with head tracking on the camera on one axis and I loved it, but I want some more and I have been unable to find much on this stuff. Some of this is just updating videos you have already done 2-3 years ago or more and some would be either new or just compiling and updating things together, but this is basically what I am thinking.
1. A current price, quality, and feature comparison on the latest FPV goggle including the best entry level, best image quality, and best for head tracking.
2. A good comparison on FPV cameras again based cost, quality, and features and what is the best entry level, best image, and best signal.
3. A good component list to set up all three types of FPV listed above and how to install them and get them working... especially one for a tracking camera gimbal.
4. What you need to extend the range of both the video and controls, but also the plane how best t o get a good flying time.
I am have two of you kits assembled and set up, but I just struggle with the controls and crash them almost immediately. I just do not feel comfortable without FPV. I also have always wanted to fly on something like an ultralight, but do to a horrible experience on a commercial flight 25 years ago I am terrified to fly. A also need to know what things I can slowly upgrade and what I need to save up for up front because I am lacking in funds (I got laid off from the factory I worked at and my health took a turn for the worst so I work at home and have a limited income), so I need to spend my money wisely. I have a 4 channel receiver, the Baby Blender and I think an older kit you no longer carry but something like the Sportster. I have all the servose, batteries, motors, batteries... for both and I have repaired any damages, but they have been collecting dust for over 2 years.
This is a really good show. All should watch. 👍
River Raid
Awesome episode as always.
Awesome job Jeremy !!
🤘😁👍
Another video that's entertaining as well as some great tips! Great job Jeremy!

Just want to add .02 regarding the sponsor .. LassPass. Guys, I work in IT (and no, not for that company) and highly recommend this software..even the free version is feature packed and works across multiple devices. One feature that attracted me to it was that if you do pay for the upgrade, you can then share your password vault..so basically you can "will" your passwords to a loved one so that when the time comes they can get to what is needed.
That and now I have 25 character passwords on sites I don't have to try and remember :)
I've been watching this channel for a few years and it's inspired me to build rc airplane's with my grandpa and the hobby brings us all together
Flying Pickles this is awesome!! Rc made me and my cousin pretty close love this hobby 🤓
New subscriber...new to the hobby, joined the boards, thank you guys for being awesome. I hope to make a pilgrimage to Ohio for flite fest.
Great instruction!! There’s no shame in being new, making mistakes, feeling out your own limits and asking for help.
great job awesome video almost knife edging through trees
This actually looks so much fun to me as a non flyer... Would love to try it
You should get squashed lenses for that FPV features. AKA a lense that distorts only in the horizontal plane. Usually, those are only used in Xerox machines (for the scanner function).
PLEASE DO A VIDEO ON HEAD TRACKING!!! DIY IF YOU CAN!!!
I love this channel. Keep up the good work!!!
Yeeees
Nice job Jeremy!
You guys are right down the road , I live Wadsworth Oh. Good vids.
This sounds like a dad teaching his son to play baseball lol. Great vids love the content !
I had a really bad flight experience with the cub the way it comes. The ailerons created so much adverse yaw in combination with the dihedral. I remade the wing with ailerons the third of the original size and it was much better
That was awesome! I'm going to buy one too.
what a fun vid!
So you guys finally getting back on a video schedule!
Zane Carroll amen
ft simple cub single handedly got me back flying. i printed off the plans, cut it out as sloppy as could be. it looked horrible. but it flew incredibly well and has survived quite a few crashes. only had to re-make the power pod once (and 3d printed a custom firewall with good success). I'm not sure if I ever did fpv on it (after getting into the micro drone thing) but I did fpv the storch with some success. just velcro the camera pod i made right to the wing in about that same spot. good times
It would be great if you guys did a video on how to make an FPV setup for planes. Like Camera video transmitter setup, I have some quads but I didn't build them but would like to get some FPV on my planes but with a better camera setup.
I always wanted to get into flying Just started scratch building from your guys vids ,really wish i could send you guys pics
You can contact them on their homepage. Or you can post it to the FT Fans Facebook page
Thank you, I enjoyed that episode. I haven't tried FPV yet. Would you recommend first time FPV with a plane, or quad.
Thanks
you are the best airplanes builders
Great video. Love you guys. Have cameras on a few of my planes. Great fun and to let others see what it looks like. Keep up the good work and great job you are doing for the RC world.✈️💝
I still think the halo long sword or pelican would be sweet for a build cant wait to see what yall build next
Wow! Now I wanna see Jeremy get back in the battleship in that water!!! =P
Putting the FPV camera underneath the airplane, slightly pointed down, is always a better overall experience IMO.
You should do a long-range fpv build out of one of those great looking C-130 models with scale rocket assist.
Good advice
YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO AWESOME 👏!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to make my F35-B out of foam board, damn composite build take a damn long time. Like your work guys!!
Joel
Hi great vid what motor and prop and esc for b package thanks as I'm struggling with lack of power on my simple cub
thanks I have watched all of your videos and because of that I built my first working airframe (:
a nice video idea could be to fly a plane using as controls ,the head tracking feature on the googles , having just the throttle on the rc transmitter
I LUV U GUYS!!
I can't wait to start FPV!
Great vid
When i started flying FPV it was on 900mhz, handled signal blockage much better, you could fly behind trees and even around a building with flyable signal.
Damn, you guys need to get a Thrasher V3 jet boat for that river!
Guys, tou are sick...loved it! Pretty new here
Awesome vid
Wrote this and thought of you guys
Your laser tag system + Firecrackers = Real Time Aerial Jenga
Way to go Jeromy!!!
Awesome video like always keep it up
Fantastic, guys!!! 😃
You guys should try iNav some day. You can have OSD and, with GPS you can even have speed and height. 😃
Good job Jeremy
I got a good one a space shuttle but you will have to make a smaller version of of the air craft
