The dream of every Brazilian aerospace engineering student is to one day work for Embraer
Yeah, but the disgusting Boeing is poaching our engineers just after scamming Embraer. They want to put them to fix their shitty planes.
Embraer needs to expand more and acquire some other companies. Keep expanding EMBRAER dont sellout to other nations.
no way, I hope they never merge or acquire anything. It only makes things worse. Look what happened with Boeing.
Obrigado
Bad advice. You wouldn't want to acquire loss making companies and inherit losses.
@@Vico649 you know nothing about acquisitions. You're welcome
And end killing people every year like boeing 😂😂😂😂😂😂 even americans nolonger want tk fly boeing but go for airbus...😂😂😂😂
I worked there and saw Ozires at Embraer's 50th anniversary. Very proud to be part of this story.
The Phenom 300 is the best-selling Executive Airplane in the world for 11 consecutive years, and this month American Airlines purchased 133 aircraft from Embraer.
Very happy about that tremendous success!!! Best greetings to all the Embraer company from Peru.

Wonderful story of how one man refused to give up and founded a great company. Just wish Netflix would make a movie based on his story
This is the story that became reality and pride for thousands of Brazilians
I'm still proud that I had the opportunity to meet him, this little huuuuuuge man !
Santos Dumont is a godfather for Brazilian aviation! # goBrazil 🇧🇷
Father of the world's aviation. Don't let yourself get fooled by the Wright Brothers fraud.
Embraer, orgulho dos brasileiros!
Brazil has been contributing to this industry since before 14-bis debuted in 1906
And Pele ⚽️ - also from Bauru city
Embraer was born as an initiative by the Brazilian government within a strategic project to implement the aeronautical industry in the country, in a context of import substitution policies. Ozires Silva Led the group that promoted the creation of Embraer in 1969.
The initiative was Ozires only effort. The government support came exactly as said in the video: as an action of GOD, or lucky, as some may prefer. Do not say something you are not aware of, please. I am a testimony of this true story.
No it was not this way. There wasn't any strategic project to implement aeronautical industry in Brazil before President Costa e Silva saw the prototype. Ozires Silva deserves all the credit for the initiative and the for effort in building the Bandeirante (together with his friends at that time).
Very inspiring story.....People are prone to underestimate others, especially if the person is a poor boy with big dreams! Some of these kids who could give big contributions to society, feel rejected by the mockery of others and get old and never make their dream a reality.....Others, like the gentleman in this story, strive to make their dream a reality, despite setbacks, mockery and negative comments from others. 😮
As a Brazilian avition fanatic an airliner emplee, I was amazed to watch this.
I’m very glad you enjoyed 🙏
amazing!! never knew Embraer was from Brazil ! i keep seeing them flying inter regional flight in my country for a decade now !!
How can you not know it? The name EMBRAER stands for "BRAzilian Aeronautics Industry"...

Ozires Silva was indeed a visionary. 👏👏👏👏
Brazil only progressed when people like Ozires Silva went against the common looser mentality we have in Brazil that "we cant do it":... "We don't have a tradition on that ...
But then someone tries, don't give up and thives.
I met him when I was a teenager. What a role model! As of 2024 he is still alive
Had my parents adopted that mentality I would be writing this comment out in Portuguese. I thank God often for my life in the US and for being the first person in my family’s history to be born here because they went against that mentality. Even now, I still see many people with a similar mentality in the States but I never submit to it.
ERJ Embraer types known to be Fuel Efficiency.. already used by the Scoot Airlines in Singapore, well done..
Excellent documentary... as a Brazilian, I always very proud when I have the opportunity to travel on an Embraer plane out side Brazil!
Brazil has a great school in aeronautics - ITA.
That's a great achievement. Go Embraer!
I LIVE IN SÃO JOSÉ DOS CAMPOS, AND FOR US OZIRES AND HIS DREAM IS A BIG PART OF OUR HISTORY... ONE OF THE GREATEST BRAZILIANS WAS BORN IN OUR COUNTRY, JUST LIKE SANTOS DUMONT!!!
Se um dos maiores brasileiros não tivesse no Brasil seria bem surpreendente.
Parabéns pelo lindo documentário, saudações do Brasil!
Viva Brasil!
After Santos Dumont and before Osires Silva, others appeared who tried to introduce an aeronautical industry in Brazil, but without evidently success.
Do modo como falam dá a entender que a industria aeronauitica no Brasil só começou com a Embraer, mas muito antes já se construiam aviões no Brasil, aliás um dos modelos de maior exito foi o Paulistinha que vendeu bastante por todo o pais!
Embraer aircraft are very good I am glad Brazil 🇧🇷 can produce such very good aircraft.
Wow this comic style animation is beautiful.

A true Brazilian success story
Embraer is one of the finest private jets out there.
Even their airliners with the 2x2 seating feel like private jets
I maintained Bandarante 110’s in Northern Canada many years ago. Those were tough airplanes. We beat the crap out of them. What a great design.

The video gives an idea of a few things related to the history, but just an idea. It is good see at least some things of Brazil's aviation history being mentioned. The Brazilian Aviation History is so rich, but only a few people know the real facts in a whole and they are all Brazilians. We can start with Santos Dumont which is always overlooked and people around the world do not know anything about him and all things he invented due to the strong "northern propaganda" in favor of the "Brothers" and to put a shadow over Santos Dumont.
It is always like this. We can see Boeing with Embraer a few years ago. Boeing was very smart to bring a lot issues to Embraer. "What comes around, goes comes around."
See Boeing today with theirs issues.
To understand the real Embraer history, you need to know about Brazil and Brazilian Air Force history which will bring you to many facts and one of them is Embraer coming into life.
Bauru, is a city located in Sao Paulo State and it is about 340 km to Sao Paulo city, it is not in the suburb. The city has about 400 thousand people. The state of Sao Paulo is about 50 million people and city of Sao Paulo alone (without the suburb) is about 11 million people.
Not true. There are indeed documentaries made by both British and Americans praising Dumont's achievements.
Wow, didn’t know there was such an incredible story behind Embraer! 🇧🇷
Parabéns a Embraer ❤
This content is amazing! You surely will blow up!
I’m glad you enjoyed! Thank you :)
Very inspiring stury ans the video is awesome. Great job.
Even being Brazilian, I didn't know the whole story. Very nicely put together, thank you!
Ps.: While most people around the world thinks the Wright Brothers invented the airplane, here we consider Santos Dumont ro be the inventor since he made the first plane to take off under it's on power and land with a proper landing gear, such as the machines we know today as an airplane, no some slingshot thing that can fly 😉😄
Great video. I hope to see more contents like this in the future. Thank you for this Masterpiece. +1 New Subscriber

France was ahead of the British isles in aircraft pioneering.
Throughout a time in Frances history, more aircraft were on the French registery than were listed on the Brit registery and in fact more than were on the American registery at a time.
Obrigado pela análisse desses homens que fundaram a Embraer 👏👏👏🙏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷

We’re glad you enjoyed 🫡
It all started much earlier with the first class of aeronautical engineers trained by the Air Force in the 40s and who would become the embryo of the CTA and ITA in the 50s where Col. Ozires Silva graduated. There is no problem in admitting that Embraer would not exist without the strength of the State training personnel, financing the factory, paying subsidies to regional companies operating Bandeirante and guaranteeing market reserves by taxing imported competitors.
Congratulations on the beautiful documentary, greetings from Brazil!
Respect❤
Beautiful story!
Osiris Silva was one of the military engineers involved, but Embraer exists today because the United States imposed an embargo on the sale of Cessna T-27 planes to Brazil in response to its nuclear power plant development efforts, which the US tried to sabotage. As a result, the Brazilian Air Force found itself without a trainer airplane, prompting the military government to invest in Embraer. Another US embargo affected the F-5 Tiger fighters, where the US abandoned the agreement, leaving the Brazilian Air Force without the necessary upgrades and maintenance information. Due to these acts of sabotage and broken agreements, the Brazilian Air Force has decided not to purchase American combat planes anymore.
When I was in the military and worked in the office of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, I answered several calls from the then minister Ozires Silva.
That must have been an interesting experience. That's pretty cool!
Start of the video say in early 1930’s a young boy living in a small city in Sao paulo had a dream.
1:03 it says Ozires Silva was born in 1931.
Bit confusing, just pointing it out.
Great video 🎉😊

EMBRAER # Pride of Brazil !!!!!!!
Forgot to talk about the tucano and super tucano. Was the plane that pulled embraer to the military technology.
The truly history behind the "world aviation" isn't what the Americans told you guys!!!
The first man to create an airplane ✈️ in our history of Aviation, was the Legendary Brazilian called...
"Alberto Santos - Dumont", known as "Santos - Dumont"... the Creator of "14 Bis" the first aircraft ever made!!!
> "Ozires da Silva" creator of Embraer, is just giving us the continuation of that!!!!
Search and you will be amazed by that!!!!
The 14 Bis was the 1st self propelled aircraft without a catapult system. It wasn't the 1st aircraft.
You're welcome

Brazil is not only samba, soccer and carnival 🤷🏻
There’s much more to Brazil than that!! 🇧🇷
You're not saying? It's also coffee, the Amazon rain forest, the Harpy eagle and the highest rate of firearm-caused deaths in the world.
Not sure about the highest rate crimes by fire arms, but it is very high, still there are some cities in brazil with lower criminal rates than some of those you call first world cities
Beautiful documentary. Very well put together excellent work👏👏🏆
Thank you!! 🙏😄
Crazy fact that ozires told in a brazilian podcast: Ozires claims that when he and Zico went to another city to do the air force test, they had in theyr hands only pens, documents and enough money to get back home in a train latter the same day after doing the tests. They headed to the army quarters to find out the test was postponed few weeks. And the amy oficial who gave him the bad news, seeing that they were poor and might loose the oportunity, let they stay there until it was test day(wich is crazy for being against the army regiment) and somehow they ate and slept in the army quarters for days kind of in secret, helping around. Only a few days latter, one of the army mans wrote a letter to one of them mother, explaining the situation and when they would actualy get back.
It is absurd to imagine what those two moms went trough for days until they were finaly noticed of what happened...(by gone era definitely)
Great achievement.
Embraer should produce VTOL Aircrafts and Flying Cars.

Nice story. But I find the story of airbus even more impressive. Just google the name Bernhard Ziegler and what he has accomplished, turning a airplane manufracturer from the brink of collapse into the biggest in the world

When he said cta I thinked that he meant atc.
Error at 10:43 , a Fokker 100 is entering the scenery 😂.
Nice. Audio is a bit low.
Embraer could make engines, particularly the small ones because they are easy to make and grossly overpriced by greedy lazy bastards like pratt and whitney. For a jet like Eclipse 550 the tiny engines cost more than half of the sale price of the plane.
many of the firsts you say are not first. varig was not the first airline. embraer was also not the first company to make planes.
" Brazil is way to poor" We know for a fact that the income distribution in Brazil is poor, But the contry itself is the 10th economy in the world, meaning money, especialized workers and materials to spare for that task. We do have a space industry even. So, don`t get me wrong, it is not my intention to sound rude, but Brazil is a powerhouse if you do your reseach. Cheers
This is indeed a inspiring history, but you used too much stock footage.
The actual story: Brazilian government built everything from the ground up IIRC with some consultancy type partnership with MIT professors to create a school of aeronaltical engeneering first and then a public aviation company (Embraer) that was then privitized in the early 90s after it was already successful and standing on its on. Public investment, private profits, a tale as old as time.
Nos anos 80 não estava tão firme assim, já havia até risco de falência, por isso foi privatizada com o apoio de Ozires Silva!
In the 80s it wasn't that strong, there was even a risk of bankruptcy, which is why it was privatized with the support of Ozires Silva!
Mas tem um dono. Junto com o governo
