He could ALSO have responded to putting the batterskull into play in the first place and killed BOTH germ tokens while they only had 6 toughness. This would have saved both the Ox and the Rootwalla and left his opponent with only 1 blocker. Edit: the problem with this line is it means they would just equip the nettles to the germ with the skull... Still only one creature while Seth has a full board, buuuuut I'm not sure that's a winning line.

Seth, you should replay some of the old budget decks with updated lists (when it's needed). Maybe it's even possible to elaborate a budget deck ranking for modern after this.
What about a UB deck with the asmor/cookbook/ovalchase package plus academy manufacturer and time seive. Could be a good against the odds deck where you get to take all the turns.
If ratchet bomb ever gets reprinted in old boarder then every artifact in the deck will have an old boarder version, which is very pleasing for someone like me who wants all their cards to match
