    Thanks for the plaudits. We still need help with spreading the word. Fished a lake recently and as a survey not ONE angler had heard about us. They were furious that the angling press never gave us coverage so they could know what we did, and couldn't believe our "Awesome Army" following of huge numbers. One guy started watching our shows on his phone and missed 3 bites ! He was so happy to have found them, so keep spreading the word.

    Funniest thing about these videos is the thought of Graeme’s wife sipping a cuppa as she watches out the kitchen window thinking ‘what the hell’s he doing now!’

    He might seam like a crazy old man, but hes right, and an awesome fisherman, years of experience. Nice to see he hasn't lost is "mood". I been using bread for base ground bait with catle feed and chicken rations for years too. You can use "powder" corn, cereals, so much stuff honestly.

      If you forget to yoink the ground bait out of the fridge have no worries I got you covered ( slap it in a bucket of water in a bout 1-2 hours should be g2g ) We used to use this when we run out of non frozen food in the restaurant if it works for chicken meat trust me it works for ground bait :) . If you can heat up the water that'd be even better :)

    Some anglers use bread and boiled rice for Black Bream. We use mashed trout for chum on the bream. Did a film aboard Britain's top shark hunting dinghy "Hi Sea Drifter" on Black Bream off Bracklesham Bay just days ago.Will be up in a week or so.Don't know about flatties though, but it does draw in the mullet.

    1,500lb shark.El Hierro Island. Canary Islands. Over 2 hour battle. Longest of my career. Actually stopped me fishing for a while as I thought there was nothing left to prove. Fortunately it passed and I am right back in the frame catching anything. Heaviest coarse catch if that's what you mean was 303lbs 7ozs if I recall. On floating dog biscuits.

  • @TAFishing
    @TAFishing  11 лет назад

    That's right.It should break up on impact with the water and then shower down. Covers a larger area than "exploding" packet mixes. No good testing them in a bowl of water as it doesn't cover the throwing and impact with the water surface. Good on commercial day ticket waters where the fish know anything hitting the water means the dinner bell is going. Great for tight margin fishing as well. Plus it can be more fun making your own.

  • @TAFishing
    @TAFishing  11 лет назад

    Maybe. But you would have to use less water, less bran and add a bit of plain white groundbait to it.Certainly worth a try, but principally its used to close to medium range fishing/short sessions. I don't have time to "build" a swim using a feeder. I want it straight in the water 6/8 balls, then I fish over the top. Its quicker than just straight feeder fishing. You can use cage feeder to top up.

  • @cheemus1275

    Graeme, do you still read these comments? I really need to ask you a question about this video just to clear something up. I have watched this video so many times but only just found a place to get the bran. So now I’m ready to make the groundbait but I’m confused about something....you said before you added the oats, that the bread and bran on its own is not really for rivers but I have seen lots of your videos where you use the groundbait on rivers......so my question is do I need to add the oats if I’m using it on a river? I really hope you could answer this for me please it would really help. And Thankyou so much for all your videos, has helped me a lot trying to learn how to fish they are the best videos on RUclips by far

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  4 года назад +1

      You should try a small test mix at home,,experiment with it and let it soak for ten minutes to see how it goes. The oats will go really sticky on their own..Same goes for Bailey's No1 horse feed.On its own it really binds,so a bit of bran stops it clogging too much.

    • @cheemus1275
      @cheemus1275 4 года назад

      TA Fishing Thankyou for replying. So this combination of the bread, bran and oats could be used on the river, depending on the consistency? What consistency would you recommend for a river? Should it be more sticky so it doesn’t just break up on hitting the water?

  • @rebeccabastin4875

    Thanks

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  10 лет назад +5

      For me its going straight into the groundbait bowl. Don't waste anything like that. Stale cakes,buns,bread,the fish eat them all. Don't forget they are made for human consumption so no problem with using them as an attractor.Being chocolate based it might get sticky.Mush it up with some bread

    Try sweetcorn, pieces of luncheon meat or maggots. Personally I would use the groundbait as the base and just catapult your loose feed in over the top. Fish early or late at this time of year. Margins ,or features like overhanging bushes are good.

    The Porridge Oats is just a sort of binding agent. On its own its gluey. You don't need much. The important thing is to get a small handful in every other trot down with the float. Bigger fish like chub will start mopping it up. I have to be honest I use it more in the winter when the flow is starting to pick up.
