It all starts with a old rake and just gets better... Never seen a funnier RUclips video :) Thanks for cheering me up in the closed season, I thought i might go canal fishing too! LOL :)

Good to see you not having crayfish problems as I have in those swims in the past. Greywell is nice but I have always found the big roach and rudd VERY picky, even with minimal traffic.

I fish a canal in south wales and the amount of bouts that go past can be stupid. I would say later the better In the evening and when I have pre baited I have done so much better. Used your ground bait with the bran and soaked dog food and put it in frozen to try and keep it from moving about too much. Big fan of the show, keep it up more on canals please.

I have poached another swim and never would, years ago I used to fish a grvel pit, and prebait 3 dusk evenings, on the friday some anglers said we wont touch your swim.
The next morning guess what, they stayed in there own swim left mine, I said any luck guys, no not a thing, they wished me luck and off I went, almost instantly, bam first bream,
and could not belive it, club record 8lb, followed by more bream and Tench, they were gutted, but took the photos and said well done mate, good for you, love fishing, love this channel.

I love fishing, my favourite fish is Tench,, just love them to bits, really don't like bream, I have had Big bream that other anglers have really admired,, but personally I really would rather not catch them, and that slime is dreadful if you don't wash your equipment well after a session, the slime stinks to high heaven. Yet I am not in the least bothered by tench slime. I always wash and disinfect my nets and mats etc, after a decent catching day anyway to avoid cross contamination, but with a bream catch I do it immediately I get home. Thanks for the vid,, no airs and graces , no tackle tart blogging,, loved it.

    • @TAFishing

Lures (small) for Perch or Pike, and worms or maggots for Bream,Roach etc. That would be my choice.

I am a novice angler BUT when i go fishing i find it very unusual for a perch to swallow my size 18s hook. All i do is bend the hook to the left or right just a tad and if the fish spit the hook out it also makes it easy to get a bite..
