This is probably one of my most favorite video y’all have done in a lonnnggggg time. The team was working together, everyone was happy, and just all together, amazing man. You put a great team together and y’all work so hard. Y’all definitely deserved to have a day like this, and many more going forward!(minus James breaking 2 cars, haha. Glad the car went right, didn’t hit/get hit and not into the wall)
To go from a 6.99 to a 6.60's run is absolutely insane, mullet was moving and will be deadly in those 275 and 28's classes. When you return to a 315, i bet you'll pick up another tenth! congrats on a fast working race car!

Blazer needs to lose some weight behind the rear axle. Battery relocate, plexi rear glass, strip interior of the hatch. Keep the front wheels down in a harder launch.

My all time favorite was the video from the Savage guy from Rocky Mountain race week on the right side of the track when he was using nitrous to spool the turbos on mullet this year

This! It also LOOKS like 213mph (340kph, holy crap) so when they cut back to the inside view of Cleetus and you could see it snaking a little on the chutes, the seriousness of getting out of shape was a lot more real than when we only see the inside camera. To get into the mid sixes in such a short time, setting records in a stick that goes sevens along the way, that's really something!

What an absolute banger of a video, mullet ripping 6s like it's nothing. James blowing up a car like usual. And the best part is George killing it finally getting some respect and praise after getting clowned on for months!!! So much hype from the whole crew packed into half an hour, always love seeing Ty and Zach involved too
Hell yeah, idk if George has been practicing, if he's just trying to take it more seriously or what but damn that was some sweet driving! He's gotta be taking that advice on board 'cause only a couple months ago he'd have slammed that car into the track but here he is gently setting her down like it's nothing, nailing a near perfect 9.50 run and stepping the hell up.

Man these dudes have stepped up their drag car game this year. As impressive as that 6.66 with Mullet is, I'm even more fired up for old George. They got a tune and setup in there that WORKS and George has really improved as a driver. He could have easily sent old Rocky to the moon and totally borked it when it touched back down, but man he pedaled it like a pro on that last wheelie.

I don't know who runs that track, but they did a killer job on prep.
I think 1320 said it was the same guy who does the prep at Bradenton. FL2k is a Bradenton event so all the same people are running the show, it's just at a different track.
But this is a track where the NHRA Gatornationals are run, so the Gainesville track may be held to a different (higher?) standard (of course didn’t Bradenton just finish a full rrr we pave of its track?).

@@ae86hachi Easily got the most rowdy sounding burnouts of the whole fleet, and it seems like the tuning is a lot more straightforward which is great for the less experienced guys to get the hang of. Swap pulleys for big power changes, timing for fine adjustment. No boost curves, no 2 step, just stage and hammer it

Its beautiful how "slow" mullet looks on a good rip compared to something like Leroy, it's hard to actually tell on video if it's a good pass or not until the time comes up. So good to see the car reliably putting down times :) You guys earned it, a LOT of time, money and effort has built an incredible rig

Agreed. I think it's mostly due to the fact that mullet is a heavy, HEAVY rig...all the speed comes in during the back half so it's hard to judge from the line.
4 link bro. It's insane. Leroy will still be aggressive looking because of the kart style car but it will be a hell of a lot more smoothe with a 4 link setup.

Kevin at KSR Race Works must be thrilled. He had a great deal to do with developing Mullet. The other guy to thank is Steve Morris for building the perfect big block engine for Mullet. And lets not forget Dr. Tune 'Em All and the other tuners that helped get Mullet dialed in. But you have to hand to Cleetus competition for running a 6.61 with a shift stick.

He was trying to shut the car off immediately out of the power to get good plug readings. If they leave the engine on for decel and then idle back to the pits it cleans off the coloring from the run. Normally for street car classes they have to drive the car back but in the extreme 28 class they are allowed to tow it back hence why he only did it on that run
