Hi everyone thank you for visiting my channel and I hope this detailed walkthrough helped to solve your issues. If you’re able to subscribe I’d really appreciate it. IF YOUR WASHER HAS A SANITARY OR SANITIZE CYCLE USE IT TO UNSTICK THE WASH PLATE. I INTERRUPTED THE CYCLE AFTER ABOUT 1 1/2 HOURS JUST TO PEEK AND FOUND THAT THE WASH PLATE WAS FLOATING IN THE TUB( l had removed the center bolt/screw). You might have to let yours run the complete cycle. It’s definitely worth a try 😊
This is exactly what I was looking for. Started getting these flakes and didn’t realize how widespread the issue was. Thought I’d ruined the washer and would need to get a new one or pay for some repairs
I'm losing my damn mind over this video it is so funny and helpful. I feel like I know exactly how to completely take my washing machine apart and put it back together and I have the engineering savvy of a 6 year old. Someone please PLEASE stop me 😂
Hi Guy! This is super helpful, my washer looks just like yours. I’m looking to clean the white plastic bin starting at 12 minutes, but am not sure how the drain the water and rinse it out before putting the drum back in. How did you do it? Thanks I’m advance!
Good to know but, I'm trying to figure out why my top load LG washer leaves soap residue even after extra rinses. any help will be greatly appreciated.
I add just enough detergent to cover the bottom of the tray. Then I add some liquid Biz. Works great and no need for fabric softener if you use wool balls in the dryer.
Thanks for the video. Super helpful. I took mine apart, cleaned the drum and everything I could touch and removed the drain hose. About 20 clean cycles later, I still have black flakes in the water. Are there other places?

Amazing videos, thank you for sharing they helped so much. Our washer plate was super stuck and my husband couldn’t get it off so I poured boiling water with vinegar let it soak for 30 mins and sprayed a bit of WD40 where the bolt is and then ran a wash with Hot water and 15 mins into the washer it popped off and was floating. 🙏🏼
Yeah, there’s definitely gunk in between there… there’s gotta be a way. Maybe squeeze the aluminum piece to get one edge of the plastic out of the lip, and then work the rest out
I believe I tried to get the really soapy water out with a towel first but it should drain out yes especially after running a couple times with just cleaning pods
This was great! Mine had never been deep cleaned for over 10 years! My problem now is getting tub mounted back on...mine has bolts coming up from mounting hub and nuts screw on from top...and some fell out and there isn't space to hold bolt and position through hole to screw on. Little annoying now have to remove the stuck large nut at center to get mounting hub off
We followed your instructions on your you tube video and it was very helpful to get my washer taken apart to clean it. It definitely needed done. I am still getting brown flakes and junk in the water in the washer. I had watched your video and another video as well. The other video showed when you turn the wash plate over, to where the plastic side is, that there was some black spots inside the plastic part in the corners that could not be cleaned out because of not being able to take that plastic piece apart. Ours has some of the black residue inside that plastic piece as well. I have a feeling that is where the residue is coming from. I am going to order a wash plate but I cannot find the model number for my washer anywhere on my washer. From looking at your video yours looks like your washer might be the same as ours. Could you tell me where the model number is at on yours? I want to make sure I order the correct part. Thank you
Thank you. This video helped us so much today! Random question - when we took out the entire drum we could hear water sloshing around inside the rim? Or maybe sloshing around inside the entire thing? Do you know what that is? Does that water cycle through and/or is there a sludgey inside that I missed cleaning?
This exactly the video I needed. I’m just like you. It’d be my first time doing this deep cleaning. Hopefully I won’t run into any issues. I’m also replacing the water solenoid part because mine is leaking.
The major problem with these agitators is that the shiny metal sheet is loosely attached to the plastic body of the agitator. As a result of that major flaw, mold can grow in the space between the two surfaces and there is no way to separate the two without damaging the agitator. I've done all the cleaning shown in videos and gunk still keeps coming out from inside the agitator through the little openings (holes).
If anyone has suggestions how to deal with lint. this machine doesnt have lint filter. After wash all the clothes contains huge amount of lint. Its very painful.
Thanks for posting, but the 6 bolts on the wheel are hard to get off. I had to use a piece of pipe to gain more leverage, but if you have an impact drill like him, that should work best.
May 2024 Ran across your 1st video. • Very helpful. • you asked for tip, 'a little less talk more Video'. • you helped me know what to Expect. > How do you get stuck plate out if stuck?
I wish I could figure out how to get that metal wheel at the bottom out (the hub). I have the right socket (38mm) but with the wheel turning it’s very tough to get enough force to turn it. Cleaned with a pressure washer and a brush within an inch of its life but still getting debris after cleaning cycle.
@@GuyTriesDIY I pressure washed the wash plate thoroughly. When I stuck the pressure washer in the drain hole, I let it sit there for a few minutes to push out debris into the drain, then when I removed it more debris did come out into the plastic basket, so maybe from there? Now after reassembling and using clean cycle I still get a little, along with a little sand. But only during the clean cycle (I believe) so maybe if I continue with clean cycle every month, then doing a manual cleaning twice a year I can avoid the problem?
I am unable to remove the center bolt. I tried with 3/8" nut driver which is smaller for the bolt. Then I tried 7/16" which seems bigger. Which size am I suppose to use?
Hey I used a 10 mm socket wrench or 10mm drill bit. Just make sure if using drill to do a low setting to loosen it and then can use a wrench if need to
Great detailed video. Thank you! The center bolt to remove pulsator broke off the thread and is stuck now. Tried many things to remove the broken bolt with no luck. Any ideas to replace the part to which pulsators center bolt screws? Thanks!
My pulsator/washplate is significantly stuck to the drive shaft!!! Can I use WD-40 or olive oil or similar to get it loose? I've tapped and pried... Obviously, I don't want to introduce clothes staining, but cannot get it out (without damaging the pulsator, I fear).
Yes you can try wd-40 or CLR. CLR worked for me I had it in there for 30 seconds and it came off. Check out my other video I posted it has different things you can try.
previous commentor. remove spider with 2 flat blade nail pullers or 2 claw hammers. remove agitator turn bolt out 3 turns and pry across bolt and and edge of hole. harbor freight cheap bearing puller for this and big nut. silacone grease all parts replaced.
Don’t “jimmy” your screwdriver 😭🤣 You can gently push the tabs back with the screwdriver and it won’t break. Insert flathead into holes and push the handle of the screwdriver away from the center of your machine (causing the other end of your flathead to push towards the center) this will release the tab. Do it in each hole and it slides out easily. Thanks for the video brother!
I can’t get the 6 bolts out of the very bottom to pull the drum out! I’ve tried many different tools. Including socket wrench. Can’t get these things to budge!
Oh I had a socket set but it was in my tool box behind all types of stuff( redoing our basement). So I told my wife I needed a new set anyways 😊 and went to the hardware store.

Amazing suggestion. Thank you so much for this
You saved me 20 minutes of video. Thank you
Thank you for this!! Quality instruction (and editing) without too much detail that it overwhelms a newby.
Amazing thank you!
Great video, step by step, thx alot
Thank you for this step by step!

Thanks for the video. Super helpful.
Omg you are a god sent. 2 days trying to figure it out and a thousand videos.until I found this video. Thank you bruh lol
Awesome thank you!
@@GuyTriesDIY I honestly couldn’t have done it without the help of ure video.
this was not the highlight of anyone's day but I'm glad I had your help. do you know how to drain the water out?
Thank you! I believe I just let it drain out normally from the washer.
Shop-vac!
You explained everything perfectly, thank you so much
Thanks!!

If it’s just a little it will drain out on its own if it’s a lot you may need to soak it up with sponge / towel
Hi it looks good. My LG fuzzi logic looks different where you need to take out the plate. No place for wire's to pull it out.
Great video. It helped tremendously 👍🏽
Thank you!!

To much soap and don't use fabric softness.

Did you try the cleaning pods? Also is your wash plate look like there is gunk in between metal and plastic pieces ?
Did you figure out what the issue was?

how do you remove the white plastic and the aluminum wash-plate because there are brown flake stuck between
You cannot detach them unfortunately you will need to purchase a new wash plate. You can do so using the link in the description. Thanks
Yeah, there’s definitely gunk in between there… there’s gotta be a way. Maybe squeeze the aluminum piece to get one edge of the plastic out of the lip, and then work the rest out
What about the dirty soapy water you had from cleaning the plastic tub? Will that drain out when you run the machine?
I believe I tried to get the really soapy water out with a towel first but it should drain out yes especially after running a couple times with just cleaning pods
You did a great job on this video I have the same one 👍
Can you remove the tub without removing the grey piece at the top?
I don’t believe so

I will check and let you know
It is WT7300CW
My wash plate was stuck. I used gorilla brand duct tape across tge top, with enough slack in the center to slip my hand under. Lifted out easily.
Nice!
Yes, I would like to see you maintain/clean a dryer too. Thanks.

Why is the wash plate so difficult to remove? I gave up and put the center screw back in and just cleaned the center cap
Watch my other video

I had to purchase a new agitator plate, previous one was stuck on there on big time. Cleaned it a few times but still getting debris

Anyone else having the issue with the debris being in between the chrome and white plastic of the wash plate / agitator? Solutions or fixes?
That’s when you want to just buy a new one it’s impossible to get it all out

Hi can you elaborate on? Thanks
@GuyTriesDIY yes I don't know what is a problem
Where does the washer nut go on the bottom putting agitator in or on top with screw ?
Which timestamp are you at?
Start by removing and cleaning the drain filter at the bottom of the machine which is typically clogged with gunk!
Thanks! I don’t think my model has that filter.
@@GuyTriesDIY Most washing machines have a filter before the water drains out into the household plumbing.
I think he’s right, this one doesn’t have a drain filter. Why would it need one I’m wondering? (why filter water going into septic tank?)
