What's your Bronco Spec? Engine, Transmission, Color, Trim, 2 door/4 door?
I had ordered a M/T 2 door bandland but the horrendous & delayed rollout made me get a different vehicle.
I ordered the 2 Door Manual Black Diamond spec. Going with a tune to ramp up power but I just needed to be able to run through the gears myself on a truck this fun to drive!
I would actually opt for a manual with the 4 door, thus the 2 door looking more cooler. I actually intend to add an intake to add some power and remove the silencer for some exhaust noise, and to make the engine more relaxed under power. @tedward
1970 2 door, 3 speed transmission with re-built 302, lol.
@@rbmusketeer ordering cars when the car is introduced is a huge scam tbh. The first Broncos goes to the dealers first not to the people who ordered it when it was open. Ordering cars at launch is a huge ripoff
That blue paint with the blue interior accents is very nice! 👍
Too i subbed to u
Looks good in white too, but only thanks to OJ Simpson.
315 HP from a V6. I am going full boomer by remembering that 30 years ago. 315 HP was V8 Corvette territory.
This no problem for four cylinder engines meanwhile.
It's wild that even the Civic Type R is pushing 300hp from its 2.0L turbo and could easily be turned up to 400 haha
@@TedwardDrives When The Dodge Viper was first released in 1992, it had 400 HP from an 8 liter v10! That was the moon.
Also, The original Viper was a car that seemed bound and determined to kill you.
20 years ago we also had 200 hp from a 2 liter naturally aspirated engine from Honda. It's just different engine architectures that make the difference. Technologically, especially from a mechanical engineering perspective, very little has changed, especially in the past 20 years. That V8 Corvette was naturally aspirated and had much lower internal pressures, so it would be a much more durable engine.
Still rather have a v8 I have a 2016 GMC Canyon I hate the sound of a v6 I put a 5.3 v8 with a supercharger in it. so much better. I have the bronco base I’m bout to put a Coyote in it
I love the cinematic shots you always do whilst talking about the car in the beginning definitely a staple of the quality on this channel
Facts
A fall drive in a brand new Bronco. Talk about living the dream. 😭
Love how you comment on the others cars on the road. (Look at that color of that bolt! Hope it doesn’t burn down to the ground) just priceless. And Just what Myself and another car nut friend I have. Drives the wives crazy
I'm like a dog distracted by squirrels lol
This is literally the exact spec I was thinking about ordering. Good to know your thoughts as always
My man is getting sponsorships! Glad to see your channel growing as much as it is, I've been around since you did the R8 V10 plus video a while back
Death to engine covers! Be proud to show off all that technology. 8)
Fun video and a very trusting friend to let you borrow it for a review. Drinking game - Take a shot every time he floors it!
Great vid! Driving this thing makes you feel so special because no one has ever seen one. I'll wait a couple years before getting my Bronco. Hoping they can make the interiors not be color coded (which clashes with the exterior color).
Been waiting for this post!
Loving the blue paint! Hope you're doing well!
Bring it up to Meredith NH, I'll show you some nice trails. I'll be in my 4runner which you can review too!
your videos wake me up in the morning
I like this car , hope that Ford will offerd it in Europe too. You forgot to show the bottle opener in the back LOL
@Super Genius , it is a 4 zylinder with 200 and a bit HP , Same then in the Focus ST . Not all Ford engines are 3 zylinders LOL
Awesome vid 🔥🔥
i genuinely think you have the best job
Woah, i just saw that landcrusier😍 looked in cool shape
Such a cool truck. Just perfect.
My god...I know its all angles and perspective but it looks like you're going to take out every mailbox on the side of the road! ha. That thing seems HUGE.
It's definitely wide, but fits well within the lines. Both on road and when parking.
Perfect proportions, you said it! Glad you enjoyed and thank you!
Thanks again for the drive! Perfect two car solution. GT4 and Bronco
I would love to see a video with someone with a 2dr Bronco with their kids in the back. I used to have a 2018 Jeep JK Wrangler. With rear facing and forward facing car seats and had plenty of room. Now both kids are forward facing and can strap themselves in to the point the wife and I just have to pull to tighten the belt for them. This rig looks to have almost the same space inside as the 4Dr JK but with two doors.
I'm super excited for the new F150 Wrapter R!
I Love the Flat Long Hood
Nice car!
The door popping is because the bolts are not tight reminds you to tighten them that’s the way it’s designed
I’ve seen a 2 door bronco in bright red with Michigan manufacturer plates near my house. I’m pretty sure that’s a Ford engineer since I live in MI where Ford Motor Company’s world headquarters are from.
Your POV reviews are the best 🎉
Wow, thanks!
11:18 almost spit my drink out lol
That engine bay is a bit of a mess, looks like an old XJS V12.
I am SO glad you said this. This is exactly the car I think of when I open the hood but I figured it was so unrelatable to compare against that no one would get it. Toby you're a legend.
@@TedwardDrives , but i think Ford is not so stupid as Jaguar and put the wires close to the hottest points of the motor and fuses and elecrical stuff in the places where the rain water runs off the car haha
Yes and the dual distributors, a wire mess.
@@TedwardDrives It is a bit worrying when Ford’s best attempt at packaging all that in looks like Jaguar’s haphazard attempt from the ‘70s
@@TedwardDrives Well, Ford did own Jag for a little while. Jag, Aston, Land Rover and Volvo were all Ford's for a bit at the end of the 0x's, Maybe some of that Jag heritage rubbed off besides just the Aston grilles.
Which part of MA you were driving around? These backroads are amazing.
Sudbury wayland area. I recognized some of the roads I take my wrx down
Have you drive a new susuki jimny? I really like them
I had an engine cover on my 2019 Citroen Berlingo xl and i heard a rattle when i looked under the hood the engine cover snapped of
There really isn’t a substantial performance difference between the 2.3 and 2.7. The 2.7 power comes on a bit quicker when you start from a complete stop because of the twin turbos, but acceleration times have to be so close.
The biggest difference on trail that you’ll notice is a 2.7 has these big cross braces underneath that jut out and tend to hit everything. You lose some clearance compared to the 2.3 which has a smoother belly and stick armor in rails in the higher trim levels.
Base model + Sasquatch package + manual= YES
that would be my spec
Everyone was ordering the base squatch 🥲 my local dealer said I couldnt get cuz everyone was getting them. So i had to get a black diamond
I want this exact car same specs and everything but a 4 door and in white 🥰🥰😍
Love the videos ted thank you for sharing your thoughts.
I just have a question ted. Is that whistle under acceleration intake noise, or turbo wooosh?
Are you gonna be making some snow driving videos this winter?
Yes. We’re a few weeks away from good snow
if I was going to order one it would be 2 door V6 twin turbo with the outer banks trim auto so the wife couldn't complain, and yeah I would get those sweet 35" tires Sassquash all the way
Would you review a Bolt EV/EUV ?
This is a black diamond? It looks like a blue square!
Nailed it! Miss you bud
@@TedwardDrives Haha I’m quite proud of that one. Miss you too !!
how tall are you ? how well do you fit in the truck
At @1:16 that popping sound means you didn't tighten the door bolts properly after putting the door back on.
Looks perfect for hunting down sasquatch.
Me too I like simple cars, I just want to drive and have fun
Do you think the 2.3 would be underpowered in the 2 door Sasquatch? Would love the manual transmission, sure wish they offered manual in the 2.7
The 2.3 is honestly a very stout engine. It amazes me what that thing can do. Plus manual is just more fun
2dr base sasquatch in velocity blue
The steering wheel resembles the ones in Peugeot's nowadays
Whats up Tedward
Hey Charlie! Long day of editing :)
How’s the sound system?
Are the rear light LED's?
Hi Tedward
Hi Printice
Is that trunk floor bluish/green?
nice
It's missing the man pedal!
The noise you hear when you open the door it's bored's warning to the person who took the door off that they are not tutorial specifications
the “idiot proof electronics” dont live in the jeep because as we’ve already seen in the bronco, they can act completely crazy and leave you stranded if you’re going beyond a mall parking lot or flexing in a loading dock.
I say that as someone whos purchased hundreds of fords for my business over time and had an OJ bronco in high school. I drove the bronco and while I did prefer the road handling on it, the width, low rpm tractor like pull and the 10-1 aftermarket support led me to buying a diesel jeep instead. I also dont mind that before I lifted it and installed huge tires on, 30mpg was easily doable and no premium fuel required for max power. Still gets 22mpg combined on 39s which is astounding.
Yo that front left tire sidewall has dimples on it at 4, 8 and 10 o'clock. Is that normal?
I "think" its the tire shine reflecting but i'll take a look when I get home, just in case!
The door noises are because you didn’t tighten the bolts enough. Ford did this so you would know if it was back to spec
Yup there’s a note that pops up on the screen saying this.
How much is a package like this one?
This was 48,750 MSRP
Jfyi, SUV is classified as a body in frame vehicle. Crossover is unibody. Great video. But I know there is a lot of confusion on classifying the two 🙃
Seems really weird to call a full size Durango a cross over
@@TedwardDrives I agree to an extent. But the new Durango only comes in RWD aside from the hellcat (which is AWD not 4x4) for a reason.
I dont mean to put shade on your video. I basically live in automotive data (IHS Markit) and vehicles are specifically classified by certain factors for purposes of accuracy. From this perspective, there has to be clear definitions of vehicle terminology. For crossover/SUV, it is determined simply by body/chassis structure. It's why a 4runner is an SUV but a highlander is a crossover. Both are similar in size. I'll agree that an SUV is the same as a truck minus the body put on the frame not having a bed.
As a more extreme example, ask someone not interested in BMW what the hell an SAV is. That one threw me off the first time 😅
It gets really weird when a lot of suvs according to insurance are considered trucks as well
that's the messiest engine bay i've ever seen on a production vehicle
i promise i wrote this before you said it
Typical ford
Please drive range rovel velar
I’d get this over the jimny
Ford's take on a current-gen Jeep, and Jeep does it better. I personally don't like either though.
Thank , overview… interestingly, I need *& want accessing, visual, & Workability in **my ENGINE( covering stuff up appalling, unless Protects or contributor to MECHANICS), and TIRE / spare stuff needs to,be “***common sense”, *& logical Flat Tire stuff. ( speaking FROM experiences, with 2007 Canyon ,spare under BED AND BEHIND rear Bumper,& Jack//tire lowering behind / under seat)………
Wait for somebody to answer its reliability in the future. Man, It's gonna be a Truck version of Miata...
fact that it doesnt come with a v8 is sad
Does this car comes with a manual transmision as well?
Yes but only with the smaller engine
@@TedwardDrives that's good to know, might get that one in the future xd
I think the mechanical stuff should be pretty reliable:
Engine, tried and tested in the F150 (2.7) or Ranger (2.3)
10-speed transmission (joint venture with GM) tried and tested in the Mustang, Camaro, Cadillacs, etc
Dana, top notch axles (my company sells bearings go them, I’ve been to their plant and everything)
Bilstein shocks, long off road history at the Baja 1000. No one I know that races Baja has ever complained about them. As a company they might be even better than Fox Racing Shocks
Body on frame, no bending so all good here.
It’s only the electronics or little details that could have issues or annoyances, like the MIC hard top
Honestly I think I might like 2 door better. The 4 door looks too much like the Wrangler(I own a ‘15). This is more like the OG Bronco. As a Wrangler owner, I’m not a big fan of the 2 door Jeeps.
Would rather have a Defender.
Barrel of snakes with a hex above the engine? Hmm my prediction is the reliability will be an issue.
Put a coyote motor in it!
Honestly I'd go for the 4 cylinder. That v6 looks like a nightmare under the hood.
😆
If I had the money😭😭😭
For should offer a rebadge kit. Let someone rebadge it a Mustang.
POV: You're playing Forza Horizon 5.
Классная тачка. Жаль не по карману.
I would consider one if they offered the manual transmission with the v6.
Hopefully they do!
The 4 cylinder is cool in the manual, I drove one a few days ago. Give it a drive and see what you think if your interested
@@wyattd4409 I'm not interested in the four cylinder. I thought my comment made that obvious.
There's no bed on it. It's not a truck. I hate when people call my suv a truck
Hahaha drive by Bolt burn
Soooo... It's a Wrangler by Ford I guess?!
Except you don’t have a solid axle up front so it handles better on road
should be manual…
No interest in the bronco at this point, I just Watch to see if I can locate where Tedwards driving. Know these roads from riding bikes, appreciate you passing cyclists safely.
I used to ride 30 miles a day...Got hit by a car and quit because of PTSD. I never want to put anyone else through that
@@TedwardDrives yea, tbh I pretty much only Mountain bike these days, for the same reason. Ive spent many years bike commuting in Boston and the stressful situations build up.
engine compartment is stupid 2.7 twin turbo gas hope its traded in before warranty ends fools will buy buy it after that 99.9% will be trolling mall parking lots select rock crawling mode for the mall speed bumps.....well just because you can
Having no roll bar in the middle of the roof sounds good for wind but isn’t that a little unsafe compared to the wrangler. Also if everything is “idiot proof” by being electronic, what happens if the electronics short out. Finally the independent suspension is good on road but, the solid axle on the wrangler is in my opinion still better.
Is that the most hideous engine bay ever created? Looks like a rat’s nest.
Should have seen the comments defending it in my first bronco video 😂
I was considering a Bronco, as my wife’s murano is getting a little old. But after seeing videos on them, I’ve changed my mind. I don’t want a turbo engine, because of questionable long term reliability. The issues with the Bronco’s top are unacceptable. The dealer markup borders on criminal.
@@bobforpples the top issues/dealer markups are valid. but re: turbo engines, modern turbo engines with regular maintenance have no issues, well over 100k miles plenty of cars out there. there's a reason honda trusts them finally, and those dudes are all about reliability. Same with toyota switching finally with the new TT V6 replacing the V8, the turbo tech is there now.
The 2024 Toyota land cruiser has the same engine bay with no cover as well must be on purpose
The turbo charge is always kind of gay!
What a strange and creepy thing to say
@@TedwardDrives lmaooo
Dude, there is an engine cover…it’s called the hood! lol 🐴🐴🥌🤟
Nice, but always get a 4 door vehicle. ...always.
A 2dr JK WILL SMOKE yur 2dr Bronco easy.
I can’t see why anyone would buy a 2 door. Bigger is better in every way.
Junk
