@@savagegeese I'd be curious to see if it had premium fuel in it. Hard to imagine with 4.70 gears, 34.4" tires and a manual would be slow... but who knows! I know the 4 door Badlands 2.7 Sas package I ordered is going to be a blast.

Well, given the stats the four-cylinder should perform adequately. But yes 95 degree weather and humidity do suck the life out of a turbo engine. I have seen other videos such as Porsche reviews that were done in 100 degree and then again at night in 70 degree with totally different performance.

The rumor mill is saying Ford may add the manual on the 6cyl for 22MY. Considering they said from the beginning they’d consider it if the demand is there, the demand for the manual in the 4cyl has far exceeded expectations, and it says right on their website the 22MY will have additional options it’s a distinct possibility

I think everyone is taking this detail for granted! The trail drive via drone really brings out the "ruggedness" of this car. The production quality is amazing considering the short amount of time spent at the event!
As for the vehicle, I don't lead a lifestyle currently that would make good use of this vehicle, but if I owned something like this, I could see myself going camping and off-roading more than I do. Intrigued with its modularity and love the Spartan, minimal, ruggedness look of it. I think I would take something like this over a similar priced BMW, despite not knowing the long-term reliability of it. Great work SG!

Looks Awesome! I'm not a fan of Ford. Back in 86, my buddy and I both purchased a Ford Bronco II. Less than a year the internal engine rusted out due to a leaking intake manifold gasket. I had my oil changed at the Ford dealership and they showed me all the internal rust pouring out of the engine. Ford issued a recall. I immediately got rid of it and purchased something else. My buddy stuck with it. Within 9 months the engine seized, about 15,000 miles. After $3000 and Ford installed a new engine, it never ran right and he lost his shirt. I like what they are doing with the Off-Rodeo program. No one is going to pull the trigger on one of these because of that offer, but Ford understands the importance of a feeling of community around a vehicle like this. Jeepers are notoriously community-driven (the "jeep wave" yada yada), and Ford recognizes that they are decades behind in community building. It's a great way to jump start that.
