This helped me so much man!!! Don’t stop posting videos they’re so high quality and concise which I love! Listening to people talk about compressors for 10+ hours is fucking unbearable and takes all the fun out of producing! Don’t worry about the amount of views right now, soon that shit will explode so just keep posting 👏👏👏
yo Mattie you really have outdone yourself with this one. simplifying the concepts of mixing until they're easy enough for anyone to understand along with a 3D visual representation of all of that information AND a homemade track to use as an example? you killed it dude. keep it up
Cool vid bro. Pls do a video on LCR panning, which CLA uses - it'd be interesting and useful to see why CLA uses LCR panning, while many other mixers don't.
You can change the distance with another way too….compression more release makes the sound feel further away….i often will use the high hat to show this
Is it possible to get a written version of this? I'm color blind and have a hard time with all those colors :D I get that it's probably too much to ask, but maybe you used notes or something to build the graph and it sounded very nice and intuitive
Great video surprised tho when your doing your panning your not doing a true stereo pan. You just turned it hard left and hard right but you gotta right click in the pan knob and select stereo pan all hard left and right was just playing half the audio signal.
I’m an old pro, and I think chart is an excellent tool for less experienced producers. If you made it-great job.

Thanks brother! Appreciate it!
Thanks! Love how you explain things!
Thank you for this useful video. Panning is one of the areas I need to improve on. Now subscribed
Thank you that graph is really helpful as a beginner
it’s crazy that ive always visualized a mix in 3d just like this, just like most producers i assume, so its really cool to actually see it modeled

Good point! I didn't think about talking about that for this video! But that would be a good topic for another one!

Why can't I download any of your freebies on your website?
I have a spam blocker installed on it! You might be setting it off! Maybe try without a VPN, or by using a different browser?
You need to cut real reverb from your vocal 😅
Kidding, tnx for advice
