i get it. longer battery life means you will be able to use it for longer. but it gets to a point where longer battery life don't matter. the most a laptop should have in terms of battery life is approx 1.5 to 2 days of light usage, which should equate to 1 whole day of "heavy" usage. a laptop like that should help with occasional slip-ups like forgetting your charger for the weekend at the parents' place or opening the laptop up in class just to find out that you forgot to plug it in the night before.
any laptop can stay alive for 4 days if you use it like a grandma

No laptop can game for more than a few hours unless you're playing terraria or some 2D game. It's just not really possible. There are laptops that can play League of legends for over 2 hours on battery though.

Wow, that is actually really impressive. My laptop is fairly new and barely gets 2 hours of battery life and I am always thinking of where my charger is while I use it, this seems like it could be a good next laptop, plus it actually has ports.

I am not an Apple fan but I have a Mac Air for school and I can say its battery life is excellent. Could easily charge at 100% and leave it for a year and it wouldn't be dead.

Honestly, I also use Windows 10 but for some reason I cannot explain why, Battery Saver mode doesn't conserve battery as it should, it actually drains it faster

though you should mention that in all fairness when you use a computer 40+hrs a week for your job, when you go on a weekend trip you don't use your laptop half as much as others might....on my weekends I may watch 10-15 hrs of youtube alone, catching up on subscriptions or just chillin watchin plex for some tv/movies

my XPS 15 9550 (nvidia 960 + sky lake i7) has no touch screen and i honestly don’t miss it. the matte screen finish is much preferred over the glossy, imo

got a gram 15 recently, the display wobbling (don't know if this is common for 15' laptops) and high-reflecting really made me upset. But the unreasonable light-weight is really sick that covered its shortcomings.

I still use a MacBook from 2009, its actually a decent machine for what i do, i edit 1080p on this thing no problem, and use photoshop. The core 2 Duo is still a very good little processor

I really need a laptop like this, I have a 2010 dell, it has an hour of battery life, overheats, and its like 6 pounds, but the best things it has, it has a i7, it has a shit ton of ports and it has a really nice keyboard, also it's around $200.. but I still need a laptop that I can put in my bag for school, vacations, etc
I love battery life but for me I need a quad core processor and at least a 1050. For more weight at around the same cost the xps 15 seems like a much better choice especially since it has a massive 97 Watt/hour battery if you opt for the ssd only model

This has to be only the 1000th video on the LG Gram I have seen on tech channels, either for the 13" or the 15". The marketing for this thing is insane. Its a great machine however so I guess they thought if they are gonna market something its gonna have to be this.
I would use that on something like Ubuntu or mint, and use the gnome desktop environment. Gnome is really great for touch screen laptops. I got an hp laptop that's like half tablet and I use gnome on it and I really like it. Also I would really prefer to buy it without windows 10 installed to hopefully save a little on price, since the windows 10 price is added to the laptop when you buy the laptop.
If you want good battery life, you should check out the ThinkPad X270 with the 72 Wh battery.

Having a long battery life device is amazing.
I have an LG X Power, and besides the camera that's garbage. I fucking love that this thing takes me to the end of the day with 60% battery despite having youtube (for music) on all day at work.
Compare that to charging your phone twice a day. Fuck slim devices. I'd rather have something that can truly go all day.
