  • Part 4. This is the most empathy I have had for ANYONE of the top staff at Post Office.
    00:00 Intro
00:11 Vennells wants rid of Crichton? Mind games?
03:14 Perkins wants rid of Crichton? Mind games
    09:41 Vennells Hijacks Susans work
13:00 Mind games by Vennells & Perkins?
    14:28 Scapegoat
17:02 Susan doesn't believe Alice Perkins
17:46 Virginia Holmes also ganging up against Susan?
19:15 Post Office needed funding, maybe Susans work, the report by Second Sight and the on-going costs of it all.
21:50 Susan BLAMED for what she was asked to do?
24:40 What does Susan think of Vennells and Perkins now?
30:47 Susans work minimalised as "bland"
32:00 Shouldn't you have jumped up and down more?
32:22 On the flip side WHO SAID CONCEAL HIDE & SHRED?
Not to sure by the end of this if Susan is a little duplicitous at the end of her job by wanting secrecy of the documents or if it was the legal team that did it. It really is all very confusing as they all blame each other. But something becomes very clear why Susan Crichton just seemed to disappear from Post Office in part 6 though.

I use to be a fire brigades union official. The senior officers use to hate that I followed EVERY meeting with a written précis of the topics discussed.
To this day I have the files. Ha ha ha ha ha.

thanks again, Charlie. I've several attempts at watching the Inquiry in its entirety but always failed due to lack of concentration, time and stamina, it's not easy, is it?. So, I extra appreciate your edits now and the effort and time that you must put into this. I've given up and will continue to look forward to your edits and those of DPS and Art of Law now for my Inquiry fix. 😀

Once the PO board realised she wasn't going to be a "Team player" in the coverup and attacks on Second Sight they resorted to form and instead tried to attack her credibility.
Counting down the days until they get Venelles back on the stand with breathless anticipation.

I'm hoping its Jason Beer who is to confront paula vennels come the hour. Civil, but ruthless when he sees an opening.

I’d want Susan Crichton on my side if I needed, she tried to do the right thing in very difficult conditions, and they, vennels and her corrupt team etc ,all did their best to stop her.

In the words of Peter Gabriel....
You'll have to take me just the
    Way that you find me
What's gone is gone and I do not give a damn

Alice Perkins is in big trouble too. She wrote down how she in her past experience handled “independent” investigations. I believe she was a civil servant most of her carreer…

Alice Perkins seems to have behaved like many of the “top” civil servants I have met. Hungry for power and exalting in their own self. She thought she was the chess master and the people were simply on the board to be played to her tune.

Charlie I know you have heard this before.
The highlights you share of the inquiry are revealing and informative.
But please could stop butting in. If so more subscribers will follow. This is a fascinating insight into The Post Office scandal. Another crisis will follow at sometime.

Susan made a huge mistake here, she was handed a get out of jail free card by Vennsls who said she was NOT a leader , and not organised etc. This would speak to Vennels pushing her . Susan should have agreed with this , instead she disagreed with Vennel's view of her character that would have seen her lacking leadership on pushing back on the Postmasters and going along with the Whitewash 😮.
Susan would have been wise to play the victim , and make Vennels the WWotW

I wouldn't ever call a witness telling the actual truth or sharing their actual views a mistake.
Makes her more provably culpable, but at least she has the integrity not to fob of everything as an "I don't recall" as so many others in these proceedings.
