That last story. Just....christ some people. His girlfriend has cancer and the only thoughts in his head are "me me me." Like seriously. If my girlfriend had cancer, all I'd be thinking is "gotta spend as much time as I can with her, gotta make her life as good as I can, just in case today is her last." Seriously what is wrong with people anymore?
It's also just a total misrepresentation of the premise of love languages in the first place? For example, my love languages are gifts and quality time, while my boyfriend's are words of affirmation and acts of service. What that looks like is I am spending weeks on a painting for his birthday and am always suggesting things to do together, and when I'm having a bad day, the thing that means most to me is him showing up with something small to cheer me up, like a chocolate bar or a $3 coffee from the local coffee shop I like, and us watching something together, and for him, he notices things that I need done, like an errand to be done or my car needs gas, and he'll go and do it for me without being asked, as well as telling me what I mean to him, and it means the most to him when I do things like clean his cats' litter boxes and make sure they're taken care of when he's out of town for work, or take the extra time to tell him the shirt he's wearing looks nice on him, etc, even though those aren't things that come naturally to me, because I love him and that's how he receives that message best, and he goes along with the things I suggest we do together and brings me a small gift from the places he goes for work because he knows that stuff means the most to me, as well as appreciating the things I make for/give him, and I appreciate when he tells me he thinks I'm beautiful or takes things off my plate because we know that's us telling each other without words how much the other means to us in the way we know best. Love languages, like all languages, are about COMMUNICATION.
He’s a 24 y old man that needs to stop acting like every woman is his mommy and learn to grow up and be a man not a man baby, if that’s he’s love language than he needs to learn what that REALLY means.
Felt like OP could’ve done more instead of hiding in the back. I would’ve stepped on that AirPod, mentioned all they did at the desk, and not taken equal blame for saying to get out. Those cops were useless
@Charles Hines Karens/Kevins are one reason why I refuse to work in hospitality/retail….i would get fired purely because I will give the attitude back that they give…couldn’t give a shit if it is unprofessional. 🙃
They couldn't other then the thrown/damage items. But ultimately it's up to the Owners of the Hotels to press charges. The only thing anyone behind the desk can do is cancel and refuse service. They can do this at ANYTIME as well. And call the cops to have you removed. All the cops can do is remove them then speak to the Owners Later at a more appropriate time. Which charges can be pressed then or Sue the offenders in question. And Here is a few Notes: IF YOU PAY FOR A ROOM, You are NOT given permission to do whatever you want to it. You do not own it you payed for the stay. Night Auditors have very little patience as is working at night and are often hired because they are hard-asses that don't budge. And the fact they can't contact anyone compounds that fact. Most Night Auditors are the types of Give Respect, Get Respect; fuck around n find out types.
Story 4 was so sad. I hope she wakes up and dumps that selfish entitled nightmare of a boyfriend. He should be stepping up to support and care for her while she is going through chemotherapy.
Story 3: the cops were so wrong in this. The employee did not escalate the situation by saying the one swear. It was already escalated. It was already out of control. That sentence did not add but a drop of fuel onto an already burning waste pit. To try and put the blame on the employee was wrong. That cop sounds as if he was trying to avoid arresting everyone or at least those that damaged the property. The hotel has cameras all over a front desk.
Nor does telling them to get the fuck out after they were told to leave politely excuse the fact that they trashed the place. The vandalism should have gotten charges filed.
@@Nevertoleave That IS the cops blaming her. Basically a roundabout way of saying "Why the fuck didn't you just smile and say thank you? You're the one who escalated the entire situation."
@@luzpaivabellydance Replace the Cell beds with bunk beds and you can double or even triple the number of Karens you can pack in one... Better yet, just find an old decommissioned mine cut the lift cables, and toss the Bastards down the main shaft...you should run out of Karens/Kevins/Kyles/Chads before you run out of vertical mine shaft space...ESPECIALLY when you consider just how many old abandoned mines there are just in North America... 😄😁😆😅😂🤣
Story 3: Yeah, sounds like this won't be the end for them. We'll probably see another post from someone else about this family because of the DNR list. If your whole family's response to a closed hot tub is to trash the front desk, I might as well just throw at least one of you into the slammer for destruction of property just to humble you
And the dumb heifer was calling OP Karen while her, and her posse of a hole pricks was yelling at her recording her threatening to get her fired one day. They’re gonna learn that the customer isn’t always right.
Can you imagine the crap they pull when they go to a sit down/table service restaurant. "I'll have the T-bone steak, medium rare" Bring out a med.rare T-bone steak. "Are you DEAF, do you not understand plain ENGLISH? I said I wanted the fried chicken platter! I want a free mean as compensation! This is the worst restaurant! I'll never come here again!" Down on knees, hands clasped under the chin. "Please, oh please. Is that a promise?" 🤭
Dad says that 24 year old guy just wants a mommy to take care of him. She needs to find a man that will take care of her and knows how to cook, for both of them.
The real test of a relationship is when one person falls ill or cannot do everything they used to. If someone really is in it for the long haul, they pick up the slack as best they can. It's okay to say it is hard on both of them, but it's not okay to demand what the partner simply can't give.
Story 3. That whole situation sounds like a nightmarish fever dream! If that was me, I think I would've been so overwhelmed to the point of collapsing on the ground, having seizure and then passing out, and that hasn't happened to me since I was seven! I gotta give OP props for how well she was able to take it until the cops showed up, she's got a way strong constitution than me! Also, she had more patience than I ever will for a situation like this!
Story 3: Cops should have asked to see the security footage before letting the family of Karens leave. That way they could see who was the most aggressive, who threw/knocked over furniture, and could charge those people with destruction of private property, disorderly conduct, assault, and anything else the cops can think of. Also, if the Karen family booked through a 3rd party or app, then I would lodge a complaint through them against Karen, and basically say that the whole family attacked the staff/destroyed the lobby when they were told the hot tub was out of order, and that the whole family had to be removed by the police.
Story One: This is why rules for dealing with customers should have exemptions where you are allowed to be rude back to them under very extreme circumstances. "You HAVE to tell me!!!!" "No, stupid person, that is incorrect. I am legally required to NOT tell you. I will lose my job if I do tell you. I will be committing a crime if I do tell you. Now shut the F#%! up and go away."
Last story: if OP's boyfriend's love language is acts of service, shouldn't that mean HE'S the one who should do meal prep for both of them??? 🤔 That'd make more sense than whatever he's going on about
From personal experience in two long term relationships...I've had that card played on me before. Mostly just this unspoken expectation that they bw provided a clean house and meals without honoring the give and take that meant in our past family structures. What is this unspoken rule that females are on the hook to do ALL the cooking ALL the cleaning and EVERYTHING home related, and oh yeah be a modern gal and work just as much as the huaband? I have lived that twice. Once with a husband who still expected a spotless house though I was in and out of the hospital weighing 80 pounds and not knowing if I would live or not. I'm not unusual, I hear this same complaint from the women I work with. My coworker with breast cancer gets reprimanded by her husband every day for some overlooked household chore. WHEN IS THE MAJORITY OF THE MALE SPECIES GOING TO STOP DEMANDING A MOMMY WHOSE BOOBIES THEY CAN PLAY WITH? I'm not saying "all men", just a big old portion of em'. My parents have that old world relationship stepdad handles all trash, yard, & car related work AND pays the bills. Mom uses her income for groceries and Rx expenses. The modern "50/50" in the modern guys eyes is 50/50 on financial stuff... But they still don't wanna change nappies or fix a.meal. wanting that cake and eating it too. We've spoken up and said "boys you don't have to support the home solely on your income anymore" what we failed to instill was that there is a compromise here. Sharing the breadwinners responsibilities means sharing the domestic aspects too. How in the heck as a society can we be both leaps and bounds advanced yet so stunted??
I’m mad & sorry @ what’s happened/is happening 2 u both 😡. My blood also boils @ guys who r raised 2 respect women, help out & fend 4 themselves when wifey isn’t there, he treats his gf or wife how u put it. A guy like that was my 1st bf. His mom found out & said 2 break up w/him. Then apologized because she wasn’t raising him 2 act like that.
How about the Karen family gets banned from all hotels, motels, and AirBnB locations in the entire country? That will teach them that entitlement gets you nowhere in life.
*Last story -* I’m 33 and epileptic, so I can’t work or drive. But, my hubby is the most incredible man alive!!! ❤️ He goes to work everyday at 5 am, makes dinner for the two of us when he gets home (because he loves cooking), and when we’re watching tv he’ll give me foot massages! 🥰 *Also, when I have a seizure, I’ll call him during it, and he’ll stop everything at work and help me feel better at home.* ❤️ *I LOVE MY HUBBY!!!* 🥰😘❤️❤️❤️

"Acts of service" are my love language? Are you freaking kidding me??? I've been married more than 34 years and *that* sentence - especially while sick and dealing with a potentially life threatening disease - would have had me staying a serious protest! 🤬 I love my husband and would do almost anything for him, simply for the asking, but that's absurd! Boot 🥾 that man to the curb.
Hotel dead body story: OP, your response to Karen should have been: "I've been instructed to say nothing further about this incident by the police. Please feel free to speak to them if you require more information." Then simply stop responding to her. Or have the police trespass her. Hotel Karen story: I wouldn't have bothered arguing with them. Again, as they refused to make a new reservation it's time to call the police and have them trespassed. Hot tub story: Thank goodness OP managed to maintain enough presence of mind to call the police. She should have done so earlier, but better late than not at all. I would assume that the front desk area had cameras with audio for just such reasons, even though they're not mentioned. Cancer story: Absolutely NTA! Your (hopefully ex) bf definitely is, however. He doesn't know or care how much this hurts and takes out of you. All he sees is that you're in a chair/bed getting pumped full of meds. How can that be draining (his POV)? There are/will be others willing to help you as needed who will be understanding.
@@isidarfrostwolf4477Then they're idiots; you need to protrct yourself, your employees, & your business. Almost every retail business I've work in or ran has had some kind of CCTV system.
LMAO at the boyfriend in the fourth story "acts of service is my love language!" That's not how "love languages" work, those are what YOU do to show affection for people you care about, not what you like to have people do for you to make you feel their affection. If acts of service was his love language then he would be doing things for his girlfriend, what he is describing is just him being lazy, in denial about his laziness, and attempting to manipulate people in his life so he can continue being lazy. Her boyfriend has an anti-social behavioural problem plain and simple, and he wants a mommy not a girlfriend she needs to get the hell out of there fast.
It's a shame you weren't around to explain that to an ex the day I got home from the hospital having had major abdominal surgery. There I was in bed, barely able to walk my self to the bathroom, and he asks me to shove over in my bed and give him some head. Yep! Asshole wanted me to give him a blow job. That put the kibosh on the relationship right then and there. It wasn't the greatest before surgery, and he just made it clear to me that it was not sustainable going forward.
Last one. When my late husband was battling cancer, I didn't expect anything out of him. If he was up to doing something, I didn't try to stop him, but I also kept an eye on him. The last thing he did was change the oil in my truck. And I didn't want him to. He was so weak, but insisted on doing it anyway.
Story 2: Sounds like these two never mentally aged past Elementary. They should've known that a room booked by points is firm and can't be changed. But rather than understand this and take the second reservation, they just had to be absolute arseholes and threaten to call the cops for "Being mean". Like, that last bit is something a single-digit aged kid would say, not a grown adult.
I work in hotel industry. It's not common knowledge that rooms on points are unchangeable. With the chain I work, if the room is still available you can make changes to it. This situation is a bit different though. It sounds like they were at a chain where rooms on points are handled centrally not locally, probably something like marriott or Hilton. Once a guest checks in, whether it's a paid stay or a room on points central team can't modify it. And usually the hotel directly can't even make a reservation on points. What this was was the guest wanted a free night, and didn't want to pay for it. They came back to the room at a later time hoping that shift change had happened, the only thing i think the hotel did wrong was they should have had someone escort them up to get their stuff, that way they couldnt just stay in the room. I'm glad the night auditor just decided to charge them a room.
If the Guests didn't make a new reservation to extend the stay, hotel staff should have removed their things from the room and secured them somewhere. Mistake to even allow them in the room, when it was pretty clear they intended to "steal" the night.
Honestly in the third story it sounds like they were trying to swindle their way to a free stay... And i think the shouting back at them is not only understandable but also the (morally) right thing to do, maybe not as an employee but as a person under duress
@@tinydancer7426 what do you mean? If you are referring to my assumption of swindling, i don't mean with their outburst but with their story about how they were told that the hottub would be open and that they should be comped...
@@Mileonen No. Cameras for security and the safety of staff as well as guests. Mostly for the security and safety of staff. The attempts to BS their way into getting free services is bad enough, but when the entire family set into their verbal assault (particularly the first male member), that is when the call to the police should have happened. Maybe hotels/motels should have a silent alarm button on the floor that could be triggered with a foot or some where below counter height, out of site that could be triggered with the side of a knee or the hand. Many, many years ago I interviewed for a job as a night front counter person, and when the interviewer started in on describing what to do and how to handle obstreperous guests, I politely said, "Nope. No thank you. I am not interesting in potentially having to deal with guests behaving poorly, more to the point, worse than my 4 year old son does on one of his bad days.
My family owns a small hotel. We got cameras and you will not believe how people act when they think they are not watched. Stealing food from the breakfast area and cutlery. Ignoring barriers or moving them etc. and oh boy are they getting pissed when you confront them. Like small children throwing a tantrum. Also nice finding out why one of our big trash cans were missing. It fell into the garbage truck and the dude just drove off with it. So yes, get cams asap. Nobody would believe you and think you are crazy and make stuff up.
Everything they said and did from the moment they walked into the hotel was trying to belittle the desk clerk in order to wangle freebies, from "you told me the wrong direction" to "I said we had two trucks, not one" to "the other clerk told us the hot tub was open" all the way to the "we gotcha behaving badly on video and are going to get you fired" gambit. Absolutely gross and the GM's pretty cool for getting them DNRd from every hotel in the chain across the country
Story 3 - This is 20-20 hindsight, but if I'd been OP, I'd have handled it this way. I'd have told them I would call someone who could take care of it. Then I'd have gone back and called the police. After I finished the call, I'd have told the idiots, "Okay, someone is on the way." When the police arrived, they'd have inevitably asked me what they were doing here. Then I'd have said, "They're the ones I called to take care of it. I hope you enjoy your stay at their facilities!" Story 4 - I agree. OP should dump that bum like a load of garbage.
Story 4: Gawds what a red flag. He wouldn't be my boyfriend after that little stunt, that's for sure. Cancer is no effing joke, and treatments are just as bad. He needs to grow TF up and learn what it means to be dependent on someone else.
And for the love of whatever deity you choose to worship, give them guns. Who knows what those psychopaths would have done to her if they found her. That's some freaky horror movie cult shit right there.
Last story: OP has two cancers. The one inside her body, and the leach man-child treating her like a live-in cook. Hopefully OP gets rid of BOTH cancers and lives her best life going forward.
Yikes! That first Karen at the hotel sounds like the Karens on cruise ships when there's been a tragedy. They insist on knowing all of the details, including the deceased's name, and scream it's their right to take pictures of the Coast Guard helicopters landing on the ship--a very dangerous procedure made all the more so because of stupid Karens flashing camera lights in the pilot's eyes. I am surprised that there hasn't been more stories about entitled Karens on cruises.
I didn't know the Coast Guard could/would land on a cruise ship. I thought bodies were kept in like a mini morgue in the infirmary until the ship docks. Or is that just for mass outbreaks like during the pandemic?
You're right about deaths, but in the case of medical emergencies the Coast Guard will fly a helicopter out to the ship to pick up the patient. Then the Karens will all demand to be told what's going on; they have a "right to know."
I was on a cruise years ago and the coast guard came. I think the person they came to pick up had a heart attack or something. They didn’t land on the hip however. They dropped a guy into the water. The waves were HUGE! That guy was amazing! He swam over to the ship, went up to the top deck and grabbed the basket as the helicopter lowered it to him. They put the person in the basket and pulled him/her up. Then they pulled him up after. It was something to see!
Last story... If that immature little punk doesn't have enough compassion to be supportive instead of demanding than OP should dump him and find herself a good person to be with. 😡😎🤷
I honestly thought the entitled lady from story one was going to start demanding for the dead guy's dog. "It's owner is dead, I deserve his dog!" I'm really surprised.
It's coming to light more due to social media and the so called five seconds of fame it grants. After that they seem to see themselves as some type of a celebrity who is to e catered to, and bowed down to and worshiped as some almighty great god(ess) who holds the power of life and death at their command, and are the creator of all things.
For story 2, every employee involved failed at what they were supposed to do, because they were all massive pussies. The family should not have been given unfettered access to the room again, and OP should have called the cops right after the first phone call
I agree op needs to tell boy friend that shop rite has the answer and make your own fing lunches, poor op barely has enough energy to get up and go to the bathroom let alone sleep. He should be ashamed. I have seen first hand what cancer does. Lost my mom to brain cancer and my grandma to breast cancer. Op at the hotel should have pressed charges.
1st story Just because you stay st a place doesn't mean you are entitled to information It's not "public" information as you are still on private property
Used to work night audit at hotels as well, some of the worst people i've ever dealt with. One lady had made a reservation but her card declined and we did 2 courtesy calls and were sent to voicemail - which we did leave voicemails and it was noted in the reservation. So after 4pm having heard nothing, the afternoon shift canceled which sends them an email, and checked in a walk-in because it was a holiday weekend. The lady came in at 11 trying to check in and then screamed at me that we broke the contract for giving her room away even though she hadn't paid any money. Demanded I show her logs on our phones of our attempts to call her because she had no missed calls on her phone. I ended up calling the police, because we did have one room left but it wasn't the type she wanted and was only available for the night - she started screaming about how we would be kicking them out in the morning and that it was the worst customer service ever. Both her and her husband tried coming around the desk to touch shit and scream at me. I had also called my manager to let her know and she told me if they wanted the last room just give it to them. -_- the police also said well there's a room I don't see a problem if they're going to pay for it, but let them know they needed to find a place to stay the following day. they were still angry in the morning when they got up and were told when checkout was.
Story 3: I can probably tell you how I would have acted in OP's shoes. I would have broken down crying in front of the family. I'm not saying it would help, but I am saying that I'm pretty sure that's what would happen to me.
Story 3: Oof I feel that. I've had customers who've decided that what I have to say is unimportant and just interrupt. Except what I have to say _is_ important and fully pertaining to what they're asking - I'm trying to save them money on something that the company has decided needs to be overpriced. But there was this one guy especially who did it over and over and over to the point that I yelled over him. And then suddenly I'm the bad guy. My co-worker is an angel though and looks after me when I'm on the verge of a meltdown so she chased me into the back while she dealt with the douche. Story 4: That guy doesn't need a girlfriend, he needs a _mother._ Dump his ass!
Hotel staff in these stories are lucky that in general that it not a bachelorette party because I would run for the hill. Because Darkfluff did a story about a out of control bachelorette party gone wild before Covid hit. 😅
Story 1: I would have been tempted to say "the last person that was as pushy and nasty as you are being was carried out in a bag...do you want to be next?"
the last story, OP, you need to run from him, if he doesnt respect the fact you are ILL (fcol) then you need to run fast & far asap chuck, good luck with chemo, we'll be rooting for you :) x 100% NTA
I don’t think I’d be able to get through any DarkFluff vids without shaking my head. I’ve tried for such a long time to not, but these Karen’s… OMG. There is absolutely no way to deal with them!
Yup, karen stories truly can be rage inducing, this time in particular. What gives them the idea that whining and harassing will get them what they want? Poor OPs, i do sincerely hope they recovered from such traumatizing encounters.
Pretty sure I've been in line behind some of these Karens at hotels. I always try to be patient & polite to the employees. As a result, I've scored a few upgrades without asking for them (one time I even got a 2-bedroom suite, just for being nice).
1st story: stupid b would have complained about the dead body if the op had told her at the beginning. "I am having a terrible stay cause someone died here."
Story 3: Nothing pisses me off more than a whole family being this rotten. You just know the kids will grow up to be just as bad, if not worse than their parents, or *maybe* learning the lessons their parents didn't and going no-contact with them. And them calling OP a Karen is just icing on the cake. If you're entitled enough, someone else telling you no will seem like entitlement.
Story 3 : I hate to hear stories like this :( it sounds like the OP of this story worked for a hotel in something like a Marriott chain or Hilton chain if she described getting a guest blacklisted all across the U.S. I'm a central worker for a similar chain, and have been doing it for about 6 years now so not just a regular reservation agent. I can at least see how this all happened :(. If the OP said their pool was open but their hit tub was close than it was probably early to mid 2021. In March or 2020 until about early 2021 alot of the chain I worked for's pools AND hot tubs were closed, so if the pool was open it must have been a bit further along in the pandemic. Alot of times the reservation agents that are central or work from home will get call with a hotel preloaded in and when they do they are supposed to pretend like they are on site at the hotel. There is an internal fact page about a hotel that we have access to that gives us alot of info, but during the pandemic there was a big problem of pools and fitness facilities closing but the facts page still showing the operation hours on the page. Everything did get updated centrally where all the hotels had to update if their pools and other facilities were operational and for a while that worked, because if the pool shut down then so was the hottub and we could tell the guests no sorry it's all closed. The problem arose when they started reopening pools but keeping the hit tubs closed down due to not having enough space for social distancing. Alot of reservation agents got that call where they would see the pool hours and assume it's all open when in reality it was just the pools. You would not belive the amount of calls I would receive with angry guests being told pools were open when they were closed or hot tubs being open when they weren't.... Hotels would oftentimes provide a discount to the room for the misinformation given, but to immediately resort to screaming and throwing a fit will get you nowhere hut kicked out.
That last one is just unbelievable. The poor person has cancer and is undergoing gruelling treatment for it. The normal reaction from the boyfriend would be to cook the meals and do everything to care for her rather than sulk because she won’t care for him. I genuinely can’t say it strongly enough that she needs to run far and fast from that guy because he’s unreal.
That last story: what in the actual f@*k did I just listen to?? Holy entitlement Batman! His partner has CANCER and he's asking for them to cook his food??!!?? Is this, please tell me this was some sort of a troll post or an April fool's post because I do not want to believe that a human could actually be this entitled and callous. Jiminy effing Christmas, if my partner was dealing with something as serious as CANCER id be offering to make them meals so they could rest, I'd be over cleaning their house, doing anything I freaking could to help make their life easier. I hope OP sees they deserve SO much better for both her mental and physical healths sake!
Title story: Why was the entitled family not arrested for trashing the hotel lobby? Why did they get to drive off in their own vehicles? And what crappy-ass cop thinks it's remotely alright to criticize someone for a brief outburst when they're being harassed and threatened by a mob? I back the blue (especially since my work as an EMT crosses with theirs often), but those cops give their brothers and sisters a bad name. OP needs to pull out just a little bit of her inner Karen and file charges against the family, and contact the sergeant/lieutenant/etc about that officer.
Story 1: She have all the (alleged) intelligent yet she can't take a hint on why's there an EMT's and police. Story 2: I guess the trick doesn't work then. 😆 Story 3:Wow...what a bunch of monkeys. Story 4: I know he was young but the bf really needs to learn that there will be a time where he have to rely on himself for basic necessities.

props to the people that work retail and in the food industry i couldn't deal with people like this i would probably end up being the one going to jail worst case and best case fired needless to say i got anger issues
OMG, I shook my head so much during this episode that I threw my neck out! Ouch. I need a chiropractor, and I think Mr. Fluff has to pay for it. Yeah. I bet that's not even his real name. He'd better give me his real name and money for my treatment or I'll call the police. Ouch.
I bet first story Karen was probably delighted to get a refund!! Free room!! Second, refusing to understand isn't A good reason to complain about management. Cops would love to hear about it! 😏
Story 3: Send that loser home to his mommy. He doesn't have any empathy for you while you are ill and he will definitely not have any for you when you are in good health.
The family in the hotel were just a huge bunch if bullies an knew exactly what they were doing. They should have been charged for harassing the employee.
#1 That horrible Karen is all about me, myself and I. Zero decency. #2 When presenting the bill for that additional night, Karen and hubby should get charged DOUBLE rate for the trouble and monopolizing a room that they should have vacated. #3 A WHOLE family of supremely entitled Karens and Kevins ? That a Pandemonium. That's to much for anyone to handle. They should be charged for all of the damage they caused, prosecuted for criminal harassment, assault and wilful destruction of property, and anything else that may stick. #4 Yes, that relationship IS one sided, but, in the opposite direction that the BF is pretending it to be. It's one sided as in OP is the SLAVE of the BF. OP need to dump that pretend, entitled BF ASAP.
Except for the last story, this was more like Tales from the Front Desk than Entitled People. Many hotels needs to give firearm training to their front desk workers in case anything like that happens again. Some people are getting more and more dangerous, and need to be put in their place, but NOT placed six feet deep.
That family should have been arrested and would have been if they’d pulled that shit on me. I worked night audit for over 20 years, and after my first Karen, I never took anyone’s crap. I’ve kicked many people out and the best ones are when the area is completely sold out for events. So damned satisfying. I’ve never had to press charges, but I have dealt with druggies, hookers, Karens and straight up drunks. Nothing phases me anymore and I have no problem putting people in their place.
I want the Karens and Kens arrested, too, but they are so numerous we'd have to build Outside The Asylum to pull it off! (Requiescat in pace, Douglas Adams. The preceding was a reference to _So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish_ which people need to read!)
That last one, the cops out of line, you're well within your rights to yell at them to leave when they're already threatening you and trying to intimidate you and you've already said several times to.
Those jerks should have been arrested for vandalism and destruction of property as well as been forced to pay for damages.
If acts of service are his love language, then he must not love her very much.
He certainly doesn't speak the language, does he?
He doesn't. He's a predator.
Well put
He’s a 24 y old man that needs to stop acting like every woman is his mommy and learn to grow up and be a man not a man baby, if that’s he’s love language than he needs to learn what that REALLY means.
That poor hotel worker! I'm so mad the police didn't press charges. Glad the manager had their back and banned the family for life!
I’m surprised the cops didn’t ask for cctv footage
Yeah, once they started trashing the place charges definitely should have been filed.
Story 3: I think OP did _nothing_ wrong, except that they should ahve demanded the family be arrested.
Yup. The moment they trashed the place (and were dumb enough to record themselves trashing it) charges should have been filed.
@@Dubanx you know all these stories are fake right? I mean redditors always lie to appear like victims
Story 4 was so sad. I hope she wakes up and dumps that selfish entitled nightmare of a boyfriend. He should be stepping up to support and care for her while she is going through chemotherapy.
He has Narcissistic Personality Disorder, be smart OP, ditch him, he will always consider himself first and demand your servility.
The cops didn’t blame her. They said it didn’t help but it was understandable that she would snap at them
ALWAYS PRESS CHARGES
She should have called police immediately.
@@Nevertoleave That IS the cops blaming her. Basically a roundabout way of saying "Why the fuck didn't you just smile and say thank you? You're the one who escalated the entire situation."
"I just want all Karens arrested"
You say that as though it were a bad thing.
It is...
For the poor sods working the Booking Desk as well as the Guards that oversee the Jail/Prison Cells...
😄😁😆😅😂🤣
If this happens, there will be no cells available... look all the stories that were told at this channel... wow...
If your whole family's response to a closed hot tub is to trash the front desk, I might as well just throw at least one of you into the slammer for destruction of property just to humble you
And I don’t blame the OP for losing it at them.
I don't understand why they weren't arrested.
And the dumb heifer was calling OP Karen while her, and her posse of a hole pricks was yelling at her recording her threatening to get her fired one day. They’re gonna learn that the customer isn’t always right.
Can you imagine the crap they pull when they go to a sit down/table service restaurant.
"I'll have the T-bone steak, medium rare"
Bring out a med.rare T-bone steak.
"Are you DEAF, do you not understand plain ENGLISH? I said I wanted the fried chicken platter! I want a free mean as compensation! This is the worst restaurant! I'll never come here again!"
Down on knees, hands clasped under the chin. "Please, oh please. Is that a promise?" 🤭
This is why hotel staff should be armed. Capping these assholes would be warranted at that point.
Dad says that 24 year old guy just wants a mommy to take care of him. She needs to find a man that will take care of her and knows how to cook, for both of them.
Tell this 24 year old man/child to go back home to his mommy if he wants someone to cook for him.
🤔 That'd make more sense than whatever he's going on about
If someone yelled at me saying "acts of service is my love language", I'd probably burst out laughing
He still wants his mummy
The 'love language' should have been that *HE* makes OP the meals! OP needs to dump him back at Mommy's since that's how he sees OP!
If men want the house spotless and a good home cooked meal and clean laundry, then we better be rich.
How about the Karen family gets banned from all hotels, motels, and AirBnB locations in the entire country? That will teach them that entitlement gets you nowhere in life.
I wish people got what they give, some people don't deserve an ounce of kindness
As soon as they began that yelling, I'd call the cops. This is assault. 🤨

Sadly, not all have functioning cameras & even those that do may not be recording sound due to various laws & privacy issues.
Obviously a little boy that never grew up. He's going to have a line of ex-wives behind him at the end of his life for sure.
Huh, Idk that, but my family doesn’t travel enough 2 get points so I’ve never had 2 know. Still nice 2 understand how they work. Thx 🙂
Story 2.I don't know why they didn't call the police and have them trespassed.
Most of the time, I just giggle or shake my head at these stories. But the last two stories here were insane.
Honestly in the third story it sounds like they were trying to swindle their way to a free stay...
And i think the shouting back at them is not only understandable but also the (morally) right thing to do, maybe not as an employee but as a person under duress
Cameras? No security cameras and footage to show the police?
I hope you enjoy your stay at their facilities!"
Story 4 - I agree.
New rule: no front desk agent should ever be left alone, especially at night.
Last guy was so right. The relationship is one sided. He is just delusional if he thinks he is the giving one.
One enormous advantage of being on a ship is that Karens can be thrown overboard.😆

1st story
Just because you stay st a place doesn't mean you are entitled to information
It's not "public" information as you are still on private property
Story 3: I absolutely disagree with the officer put partial blame on her.
Ditto, you are not "escalating the situation" if you punch someone who is trying to shoot you, Karen & co already went well beyond OPs outburst.
The family of Karens at the wadda-call-it....... man......... one day they will get arrested. I also feel bad for OP
I would have called the police in the 2nd story. Then they can explain to the police why they don't think they need to pay for a room.

Last one: That guy clearly wants a mommy who spoils him like he obviously is used to, not a girlfriend.

1st story: stupid b would have complained about the dead body if the op had told her at the beginning. "I am having a terrible stay cause someone died here."
Which if they had said that I would have said, well every room has likely to have had someone to have died in it.

To the young lady getting chemo, dump your boyfriend. He sounds like a narcissist.
Story 3, I actually empathetically teared up at the end when I heard about op breaking down and crying from the anxiety. Really got me.
That last guy is selfish just plain selfish. Get away from him.
Story 3:Wow...what a bunch of monkeys.
Story 4: I know he was young but the bf really needs to learn that there will be a time where he have to rely on himself for basic necessities.
Story 3…wow, what a spineless OP.
@@millingabout2447 If ten people were crowding my workplace, cussing and making threats, and tearing up things; I'd be freaked out too; especially with an anxiety disorder. At least she had the presence of mind to call the cops on them. What were you expecting her to do? Physically throw them all out?
Not monkeys. Monkeys are actually intelligent.
@@meh2510Actually he'd been standung there pissing in his pants.
I work at a hotel and hearing these hotel stories is amazing and soothes the soul.
I feel so bad for OP who had to deal with the whole family of Karens yelling at her
Never cease to amaze me how these people acts like they do and then claims others to be rude.
props to the people that work retail and in the food industry i couldn't deal with people like this i would probably end up being the one going to jail worst case and best case fired needless to say i got anger issues
Boy,all these stories really pissed me off but the last one is ridiculous. Dump his ass
OMG, I shook my head so much during this episode that I threw my neck out! Ouch. I need a chiropractor, and I think Mr. Fluff has to pay for it. Yeah. I bet that's not even his real name. He'd better give me his real name and money for my treatment or I'll call the police. Ouch.
"IF YOU THOUGHT THAT WAS CRAZY, LISTEN TO THIS LAST POST"!?!?!? HOW COULD IT GET CRAZIER?
I bet first story Karen was probably delighted to get a refund!! Free room!!
Second, refusing to understand isn't A good reason to complain about management. Cops would love to hear about it! 😏
The hotel story: she should have called 9-1-1 the second she started yelling.
The 2nd story is complete BS. There is NO WAY that a hotel is going to let someone stay overnight without paying up front for the room.
Story 3: Send that loser home to his mommy. He doesn't have any empathy for you while you are ill and he will definitely not have any for you when you are in good health.
For the hot tube post, instead of yelling GTFO. She should of said, "Are you going to let me do my job or continue batching?"
Shaking my head so hard I'm practically headbanging... what in heaven's name?!
With Chad/Karen, only crazy story is when they have some conscious.
Thanks for the stories DF. Have a good evening
The family in the hotel were just a huge bunch if bullies an knew exactly what they were doing. They should have been charged for harassing the employee.
First story: The police should have arrested the Karen.
Wow, that Karen family was terrifying! Too bad the police didn’t throw them all in the clink for what clearly sounds like assault!
Should have wrote that million degree Karen's husband's name down to call his college. I'm sure they'll love the way she's acting.
That last one, the cops out of line, you're well within your rights to yell at them to leave when they're already threatening you and trying to intimidate you and you've already said several times to.
Yay! Darkfluff time! Looking forward to listening. Hello Darkfluff and Stevo
