That seems a great bit of kit! I've got a Nux Mighty Plug and have to say that despite some practical shortcomings, the sounds have been excellent for such a cheap device!
Did I hear a bit of clipping or something, a second or so after 7:27 (when you struck the final chord of the Def Leppard piece)? I was seriously thinking of buying one of these, but it's now 3 or more years old, and I hear that NuX has not updated the firmware for a long time. The crummy user manual doesn't list the effects it contains (only one EQ and only one compressor that doesn;t work very well, for example). I'm still slightly tempted by the 48k sampling, but then again, 44.1k used by similar pedals should be more than ample for most purposes. So I might go for the Matribox or the Valeton gp-100 instead. Then, at least I know what I'm buying!
Maybe, but I doubt it as I ensure to record well within acceptable levels. In terms of effects there are plenty, which seem to be modeled after classic pedals. That being said, this unit does have it's limits and plays reasonably well within it's price point.
@@TheToneLounge I don't own it yet but it has a lot of great features for the money. I was put off by the seeming lack of bass amps and cabs but your bass demo may have convinced me to get one!
@@TheToneLounge what's the yellow tweed amp that you're using in there please? I'm guessing that's a stock amp and you're importing the OwnHammer IR to shape the sound of the cabinet? Cheers!
Cool demo just looking for a friend .$till on that big bang little package quest : ) I put a NUX stageman on a board I did for a singer song writer friend .It works great for open mics ,and coffee house gigs. I think there horseman is probably way better than say a Mosky golden horse .Which is pretty dang good .I've had both on small afford-a-boards.The mini Oceanic is a pretty good hall reverb.
The delays and reverbs in this unit are solid, as are most of the OD, amp sims and cab IRs. As a backup to an amp, or for smaller gigs, this would make for a killer option.
This unit sounds great however it has a terrible interface/workflow for setting up a patch without the PC app, that is why ended up selling mine. For the amount of knobs and buttons it could be much more easy and intuitive. This multi fx fits the need of those that are on a budget and only cares for sound quality, it really sounds amazing, but everything else falls short (sturdiness, support, regular updates, number of effects and so on).
I found the software on the PC to be stable, but I do agree that the user interface on the unit could be better. Changing something quickly is a bit of a learning curve for me, I kind of got lost and did a few rounds of the menu before finding what I wanted. That being said, the tones are darn solid. I'm not too critical of these inconveniences at this price point.
@@TheToneLounge That's disappointing. I was hoping to spend less time in front of a damn PC. Is the MG30 any better in this regard? I'm thinking maybe just get an HX Stomp.
Hello, I have a question, ok What type of monitor or PA system would you use with this NUX PEDAL? Attention is to playing at home, not for shows or music production Only acoustic guitar and IRs with equalization. If you could answer I would appreciate it ok Like & Subscribe THX
The simple solution would be a good set of headphones. You could also purchase a simple audio interface like a Scarlett 2i2 with a set of powered monitors.
@@TheToneLounge No, I don't use a laptop or computer, I like to play loud with the sound coming out of the speakers and sing, but it's in my studio, I don't want anything to do with a computer, etc. THX.
hi, just brought it yesterday, im using it as an audio interface, all settings are done in my DAW, I can record actually, but when i want to hear the playback, I cant hear anything. even my backingtracks. my output came from the output/headphone of the NUX MG300. Did I missed somthing?
You could plug it in for sure. As for getting these types of tones, I can't say. That Bose is most likely a full range speaker, so it might make the MG-300 sound a little wonky.
Is the Output/Headphones in stereo? Very nice playing, just when I thought I was done with multi-FX pedals. The IR loading capability is really a nice feature, can work for great acoustic tones too.
Is great gear getting cheaper...or is cheap stuff getting better? Sounds like this thing is punching above its weight. You're a skilled guitarist so it'll always sound good in your hands. (Bonus points for electric funeral)
Thanks dude. This thing is very cool. It does have it's limitations but if you use third party IRs and take your time dialing in your tone, this unit is a winner.

So, how is it?
@@TheToneLounge spent a few hours yesterday. I like it but I think I might try the mg30 instead for live performances.
Waiting for ur in-depth detail playlist of this pedal

They are very good. They built quality can feel about on the "money saving" side, but since I don't do Live shows anymore, it's a none issue.
Where can i get that NUX TTL acoustic amp that youre using at the 0:24 mark?
@@jaydiemband8305 Looks like I never uploaded it for some reason. Suggest taking notes on my settings on screen.

Thanks for showing how to use a bass with this pedal :)
My pleasure. What did you think of this unit?

Beautiful guitar playing
Do you happen to have the tabs for the start acoustic song?
Sorry, I don't. It's just something that I came up with on the spot.
You bet it does. I own one.

Can you plug a unit like this from your guitar through this processor into a bose s1pro without any other equipment and get these tones?

Yeah, the headphone out is stereo. I could have used that output, but wanted to showcase what the mono output could do.
