The Fate of the Morey's Piers Ghost Ship

- The Ghost Ship is a haunted walk-through attraction located at the back of Morey's Mariner's Pier in Wildwood, NJ. The attraction has not been open since the summer of 2019, and many people assumed it would never reopen. This report, produced by Bill Cherkasky, covers the future of the 3 million dollar attraction.

I remember the Skua pirate ship walk-through ride on Hunt’s Pier. It was pretty good.
That was our favorite Hunts Pier ride.
That was a favorite of mine as a kid, hearing him say here maybe the ghost ship would pivot to something more family friendly fun house that’s the first thing that came to mind
Walked thru this right after it opened. Scared the💩out of me and my son
I am SO happy this is remaining open. I was getting worried and sad, even as I was watching the video and heard different ideas tossed out. But hearing that it will reopen, makes me so happy. I can't wait to go back in it when I'm down in August!! The boards NEEDS attractions like this.
Wildwood would be lame without any haunted attractions or just Dante's and Pirates boat ride. Ghost Ship gives Wildwood a live actor haunted walk-through again. From summer 2002 through 2009 the only walk-through was the Curse of the Mummy 3D on Wild Wheels Adventure Pier now just Adventure Pier, the former Fun Pier. It was removed after 2011 along with the Jersey Junkyard 30-second spook ride which was Casa Macabra 1996-1998. Niagara Falls has several haunted attractions on the Ontario side including Dracula's Haunted Castle, The Haunted House, House of Frankenstein, Nightmares Fear Factory, and Screaming Tunnels inside a hotel arcade which was Screamers House of Horrors 1 and 2 at the end of a strip of stores at the top of Clifton Hill along Victoria Ave. There is one haunted house on the NY side, the Haunted House of Wax.
was a little underwhelmed my first time doing it this past weekend but you have to applaud moreys for getting the ride back open, hope they can make more improvements to it as it has a lot of potential to be an amazing and scary walk through attraction like how i was expecting it to be going in
Yeah...they need to get the 2nd floor open again.
I hope it stays open. Probably the coolest and most unique ride/attraction on the entire wildwood boardwalk currently. Glad to see they touched up Dante's Dungeon as well, although i do miss the previous artwork on the outside with the ghouls and zombies
It was closed today, sadly. But i was excited to find out it was opening up again!
Somthing about a haunted ship on the beach is just perfect. I hope to go this season and go inside to experence it. If its turned into a walkthrough fun house I hope its still haunted themed.
Was in it back when it opened and was not very impressed. It needed a lot less static scares and a few more actors, in my opinion. At some point you can't just run a black light display with posed dummies. Hoping it will be more creative when it reopens.
It improved a lot the second season it was open.
Ghost ship was awesome, took my daughter, it was the highlight of our summer 😂
Only drawback was the price, maybe that kept people from going . But we rather just go through the Ghost Ship than go on a couple rides if money is the issue.
Hopefully it re opens.

I don’t think they would, but haunted houses in general have declined.
But, at Cedar Fair and Six Flags parks, the two companies are merging, there are long lines for haunted houses in the fall and they are popular with young people. Dorney Park Haunt gets really mobbed especially on Saturdays. Six Flags Great Adventure has Fright Fest but I was never there. I heard that they charge for the haunted houses.

Spirit halloween recorded most of there 2019 lineup in that attraction
