Additionally, that Earthquake trick is a real thing in at least one fangame already! In Pokémon Reborn, using Bulldoze/Earthquake twice kos both Pokémon unless they have certain abilities. The cave collapse in the Earthquake skit is an actual mechanic in Pokémon Reborn/Rejuvenation. When battling in caves, using Magnitude, Bulldoze or Earthquake causes the cave to collapse, damaging most Pokémon.
Here’s a fun idea: passage uses fling against a rotom, and throws a magmariser at the rotom, but rotom possesses it turning into oven rotom and uses heatwave on panssage
