I totally agree with all points made here. Both are amazing compressors but man the purple was so flexible from the day it was released. I do love the thicker warmer tone from the lindell one
This videos proofs that what I say about plugins is true. It's better to have at least 3 compressors of each type so you won't cry when mixing. Why this video proofs what I say to be true? Because both compressors sounds good and if you use them the right way you'll pick on over the over depending on how your audio sounds and what it contributes to the song!
Hope this month Intel Macs running Ventura will be FINALLY supported so I can start using Plugin Alliance plugins again in Logic..... Haven't been able to use PA plugins in 10 months this is ridiculous
I do not have the MEGA Bundle anymore. Was rocking it for over 2 years. But I have to admit this is poor from PA. Every single other Major developer supports macOS 13 now and macOS 14 is out in a few months
Support for Logic in macOS 13 Ventura and native support for the AAX format on M-series devices is an ongoing effort implemented with our free Maintenance Updates. Once new installers are available, you will be able to update your plugins hassle-free through our Installation Manager. We're aiming to be fully compatible by late August. www.plugin-alliance.com/en/blog/blogpost/items/a_message-on-expanded-support-for-apple-silicon-and-macos-ventura.html
You'll be happy to hear that we announced expanded Ventura support for a majority of our plugins today. This blog post provides more details: www.plugin-alliance.com/en/blog/blogpost/items/expanded-support-for-apple-silicon-and-macos-ventura.html
To demo the plugins in the video for 30 days, start a MEGA Bundle trial here:

That Lindell is little hidden gem
Plugin Alliance should bring the Chandler Germanium Compressor.
Thanks for letting us know!
Softube already nails it . There should be PLUGIN ALLIANCE version also

Excellent overview, Justin. Thank you for taking the time on this. I like the Purple Audio the most :)
Thank you, Justin! Been waiting for this since the Opto and VCA videos!
