I think this awesome. I also think that we Westerners are food spoiled. Everyone should be able to go 12 hours without eating; I don't care how many calories you are burning. jmo
Love and appreciate the accomplishments! But PLEASE Do Not push the "eat plants" Narrative in the title. Look into Dr. Tim Noakes story to understand. I'm type 2 diabetic and Metabolically Compromised as are over 80% of the world's population. It is a True Epidemic!
Thank you! We aren’t pushing any diet agenda here, and never said for anyone to “eat plants.” It’s simply an account of what she ate on that day to run an ultramarathon.
I in no way took the title to be a recommendation for any diet. Ultra running is belly over body- you can only accomplish things if your stomach stays happy. Therefore, what people are able to eat- and keep down- is a HUGE part of ultra running. Sharing what works for them on race day is a huge part of how runners figure out what might work for them. I guarantee you, most normal eating habits are out the window during ultras. People who never touch soda chug coke, vegans often grab animal products, health nuts much on candy by the fist full... whatever it takes to get the calories into a very cranky system.
Kudos to you… motivation for sure
Such an incredible day!
Wonderful ❤
I really appreciate you sharing and making something so monumental feel achievable.
Thank you! Do you have plans to run a race?
@@UltraLifeFit yes I sure do but it’s still a year away. I’ve got lots of conditioning to
@@garth6367 you’ve got this!

@@julietrachael I’m running a 10K in June and planning on the city of trees marathon in October in my hometown of Boise
I feel the same things when I run long distance. Well said!
This was an INCREDIBLE video. Congratulations on your huge accomplishment. Subscribed, and hoping for more!
Thanks so much! We just ran a 50k in Colorado and will be making a video around that and the Silver Rush 50 from earlier this summer
Can’t wait to run my first ultra. Congrats guys 😅🍺☀️🏃👋🏻 thanks for sharing
Let’s go!!! It’s truly a life changing experience
Great job, and nice job on the video. Your reasons for running are very similar to mine. Keep moving!
Awesome! Thank you!
nice work! this was encouraging to watch. i'd love to try something like this someday
Go for it! No matter what the outcome is, you won't regret it!
The halfway point is a big moment for me too. It gives me the feeling of “ok, you’re heading home now.”
The shift from each stride being a step further away to each step being a step closer to home is so huge!
@@UltraLifeFit Exactly! Every mile past the halfway point means you’ve already run further than the distance left in the race.
Nothing better than getting that duece out of the way.
Hahaha exactly

I hadn't drank a regular Coke for 20+ years, but on race day there's nothing quite as satisfying
