@@moseskuria1234I mean the Alien Rangers didn’t really have Civilians moments, hell outside of Sentai footage their personalities are basically the same
One of my favorite episodes of Hurricaneger involved Hurricane Yellow mourning the loss of his grandma but later in the episode, she was reincarnated as a young girl due to the machinations of the villainess Mosquito Seijin/alien. It was a nice touching episode. Also, in Kakuranger, it was established that Ninja Yellow had a little brother.
Yeah, I agree, Super Sentai generally does a far better job of doing secret identities as they're much more flexible compared to Power Rangers where they're always inconsistent by trying to hide their secret identities (most of the time), while at the same time just carelessly flat out shouting "IT'S MORPHIN' TIME!!" where people could easily HEAR them, and I wish they would do it more like their original counterparts. Another great Video, archer! Maybe you could do a follow-up talking about the secret identities of all 15 pre-Zyuuranger Seasons, as well as the un-adapted Sentais like TouQger, Zyuuouger, Lupinranger VS Patranger, Kiramager, Kikaiger, Donbrothers, King-Ouger, and Boonboomger! You could also do a Video where you point out the times where viewers could easily (and sometimes not so easily) see the original Sentai cast, heroes, and villians, as well as even civilians!
A Sentai team having actual jobs really blends them well. Also, your request on Sentai vets porttrayed as civilians in later seasons is a great idea, something PR wouldn't ever do. The bookend of TimeRanger is a good example.
I know right? I think they were also the first all minor team which makes this extra messed up since they’re blaming high schoolers! Imagine if they did that to the ToQgers... I don’t know if I could take that considering how little they actually were.
Shinkenger has one episode early on where Chiaki (Green) is shown not to have properly cut off his previous life and going to the arcade with his schoolfriend, resulting in those friends being targeted
also Gokaiger faces are all over the place because the villain put bounty signs on their heads, so they are not just "not hidden", they are celebrities
Dino fury really made some wrong steps because they would teleport then morph instead of morph then teleport and it’s not like their morph sequence is short (the part before they switch to stock footage of them morphing)
Goseiger was a little different. They didn’t have secret identities, they kept their entire existence a secret, wiping the memory of anyone who saw them or their enemies fight. The only exception being the kid who was their secret keeper and his father who they tried to hide from, until it was revealed he’d known all along.
after ryusolger zenkaiger i dont think they cared but cant remember donbrothers keeps it hidden and even if they interact daily they didn't know they also were donbrothers at first one of them (not to spoil who) until the very end pretty much kingohger are known because they are the Kings/presidents/rulers etc of each kingdom boonboomger are hidden and are called tire people by the public when they see them transformed
Super Sentai does often. Though with a lot of 70s and 80s Sentai, they were often at a home base they shacked up in when conscripted as warriors. Be from other worldly forces or Earth's own military. As such, their secret identities were negligible. Though it does feel weird that the bad guys never thought to run background checks on their enemy and see if their families can be leveraged for victory.
if it about this secret identity you check at ultraman they have to keep it until near final episode and some of them emotional damage and cant accept too
Super Sentai can be random and inconsistent, and it may just depend on who is writing an episode. I remember Jetman generally not caring about identities being secret; they transformed in public and would freely talk to associates that knew their identities. But Jetman also had episodes such as the one where Ako desperately didn't want her friend to find out that she was Blue Swallow, and another where I want to recall a fake psychic leads them into a trap by mentioning their identities.
Isn't Jetman part of the government in that series ? As in they probably already told the family members what they signed up for and everything and probably the public knows about them
For Hurricaneger and Goseiger you forgot that they also have devices that wipe people's memories when their identities are exposed. With Hurricaneger it's the robots, with Goseiger it's the cards.
doesn't Hurricanger have robots that wipe peoples memories during the first episode or something? if i recall right they got some sort of army robots that can induce small memory wipes from battles which was never brought up again?
I Have To Say Super Sentai Handles The Subject Of Secret Identities,Way Better Than Power Rangers Could Ever Do,Teams Like The Zyurangers,Gingaman And The Ryusoulgers Can Transform Right In Public Without Worrying About Who Will See Them And Other Teams Like The Dekarangers,Boukengers And Ohrangers Have Their Identities Are Ready Know By The Public At Large,While Other Super Sentai Teams Have Very Clever Ways To Keep Their Identities Secret From The Public At Large,For Example The Hurricangers Used Robot Ninjas To Erase The Memories Of The Heroic Hurricanger/Gouraigers And The Evil Space Ninja Jakanja So They Can Go On With Their Lives And The Goseigers Use Gosei Cards That Can Remove Memories Of The Evil Spirits That They Encounter And The Go seigers Who Keep Their Existence A Secret From The General Public.
I been watching to watch the sentai version of power ranger so see what was the original inspiration that led to power rangers happening but not sure where i can legally watch them
For Zyuohger, 4 of them are from Zyumen. Only Yamato and Misao are human. I don't think they cared too much about keeping their identities hidden. Although they don't tell Yamato's uncle, though he eventually finds out was very supportive. The only other family known is Yamato's father. Whom Yamato has problems with.
Actually in episode 46 of car rangers that’s when their powers were affected their public identities were revealed I think you need to go back and watch the The show again , And also where the secret base is that’s where their jobs are and that was blowed up by the evil empire they were fighting. Close to the end of the last episode they had to team up with the evil empire they were fighting to defeat the true leader of the rebel biker Empire lord exhaust
Power Rangers LightSpeed Rescue was the first season that the rangers didn't keep their identities secret from the public
Because the Lightspeed Rangers were pretty much paramilitary first responders fighting demons.
Didn't the alien rangers have a public identity first?
@@moseskuria1234I mean the Alien Rangers didn’t really have Civilians moments, hell outside of Sentai footage their personalities are basically the same
Despite being the second where it didn’t really matter

Carranger is my favorite when it comes to secret identities. Calling them regular citizens all the time was so funny!

Gobuster red's sister is still alive. Also watching Kyoryu Blue try and hide his identity from his sister was hilarious.
I always hated the way the city turned on the megarangers after finding out their identity.
I know right? I think they were also the first all minor team which makes this extra messed up since they’re blaming high schoolers! Imagine if they did that to the ToQgers... I don’t know if I could take that considering how little they actually were.

For the most part, SS doesn't do the Secret identity except for a few series.

The girl Ryouga adopts is his niece, not his sister.
Shin Ultraman had his secret identity be exposed via military security cameras
Ten things that Power Rangers RPM did better than Super Sentai Go-onger
Abare red adopted his niece not his sister mai is his sister's daughter
after ryusolger
zenkaiger i dont think they cared but cant remember
donbrothers keeps it hidden and even if they interact daily they didn't know they also were donbrothers at first one of them (not to spoil who) until the very end pretty much
kingohger are known because they are the Kings/presidents/rulers etc of each kingdom
boonboomger are hidden and are called tire people by the public when they see them transformed
i feel like boonboomger is definitely a toss up. like i think they're seen as a mystery but they still tell their identities to whoever listens
You forgot Kiramager. After Rysuoulger, it's Kiramager.

I guess the exception is Ako due to her still being in school, so her identity being more secretive is necessary to not mess with her school life.
