Love love LOVE my P239!!! I bought a factory 357Sig barrel for mine so I can shoot both calibers, added night sights and an internal Lasermax guide rod laser! Deadly accurate, concealable and powerful
69CamaroSS407 years ago when I brought my P239 the extra barrel was in another case. Told the clerk I will take that barrel as well. Glad I did. .357 Sig plus .40 all in one.
If yours has Hogue grips, then we have identical twins. Fantastic gun. I carried my for 10 years, until I eventually got a PPS. I still carry the P239 on occasion thought (like when the PPS got recalled LOL).
I've shot my 239 40 cal back to back with my 229 legacy slide 40 cal and the recoil is somehow exactly the same. Blows my mind such a small single stack can do that. I won't sell it because I can shoot it so well. 229 carry with winter clothes, 239 carry in summer clothes.
WTW....... You are wild with that steel target, making him flap his arms like he trying to get away from you. I was not all thatvbib wearing crazy for that 239. On the other hand I would go insane over getting the M17.😳😳
Eject mag, lock the slide to the rear, turn the takedown lever downward, run the slide forward, unlocking it and removing the entire upper, the rest is pretty standard, remove guide rod/recoil spring, and barrel.
Excellent . i have a few sigs and and no complants with any of them. May I suggest you tweak your grip a little. It may stabilize the firearm a bit more.. Nice video, two thumbs up.
Hey brother my friend has one just like that. Nice guns his is in 40 to. He uses it for EDC. It just holds 6+1 but that’s more than enough to do the job.
They're expensive but worth it. And if you buy them used they are a lot more reasonably priced and usually still in great condition, most people that sell them is due to the weight.
Great video. Glad you did a Sig video. I have a couple friends that suffer from debilitating GDS (Glock Derangement Syndrome). Maybe this video will help them. lol
As a man I hate to say it but I love the decocker. Wow it it was even hard to type it. LOL. Have carried a P226 for over 10 years. keep up the great vids and Thanks.
You are doing good for the target only being 2 feet away Wait how far was the target? LOL I have trouble doing that with my king cobra being as the trigger pull is over 14 pounds
Nice video, thanks...Just bought one of these in 9.... So,... Is it just me, or is the take up in single action about a mile and a half??? Im thinking its just a characteristic of this model. Would you agree? Thanks.
@@WHOTEEWHO help… !!!! just got gifted 2 of these in mint condition.. they feel great… but I hate the 7rd mag.. do they make extended mags for these you can actually find ? And how is the recoil and trigger pull compared to a Glock 23 for instance.. And also what years do you assume most of the ones floating around are, I assumed probably early 2000s or late 90s.
Yeah I love it. I have revolvers. I haven’t carried a semi auto since I carried one in the line of duty. Yeah I would like to do a video on it. But people wouldn’t understand me with my thick accent
I asked you this before and you answered back. I asked you what handgun i should get for my first carry and you told me sig but what calibre? I really like this one but what do you think? How much does the average sig cost also?
Unlike most people I answer every comment. Everybody is different. You can find deals on these used in $4-500 range. I'd hate to steer you in the wrong direction. I'd say if you can get to a range go try out a few, or even a gun shop and figure out what you like best. I carry an honor guard 9mm every day
I had one of the tax ops versions but could never find a holster for it so I ended up selling it to get a p229. I really want to get another one at some point.
WHO_TEE_WHO .... Perfect timing. I love the Sig 938, crazy accurate, fits in a pocket, awesome grip angle, just a great gun....but I want it to be DaSa and have a slightly longer grip and higher capacity... So, that puts me at the Sig 239....that's the next on my list Sig 239 SAS 9mm....But of course nobody carries it stock around here, so I can't get my hands on one. I don't buy something unless I've messed with one first. I have been waiting for someone to review this almost forgotten model. What's your opinion on 938 vs 239 ?? Thanks again WhoTeeWho!
@@WHOTEEWHO you're a larger guy, I'm not sure you'd be able to hold the 938. It is a very small gun. It was designed after the 1911, so it has the same grip angle. I think that grip angle makes it strangely accurate... Like, "how in the world did I just hit that at that distance with this tiny little mouse gun" accurate.... That's just my experience.... If you ever get a chance, take a few shots with one.
@@WHOTEEWHO .. small capacity, single action, and your last two fingers hang out in mid-air...if you can deal with that, the 938 is an absolute dream to shoot. I highly suggest it. We have a range out here that rents a lot of different 9mm pistols.. Aside from the steel CZ-75, the 938 is one of my favorites....
Great Video of a brand I love and trust. I have the Sig Sauer P220 45 ACP with the Crimson Trace laser grips that was a police trade in I was told and it awesome but with it having a 4.4 barrel is is a little large for concealed carry. If you can get a deal on a Sig I would jump on it, Since they are on the expensive side and offer a long life of use. I carry a SCCY CPX-2 and sometimes a Beretta 92S though the Beretta is a little large also but it's thinner. Thank You
I like sig hammer fire pistols. The full size double stack all metal. The glock clone striker fire not so much. I see big problems with the military contract on those.
Sigs are pretty much always good, but unless you do manage to find a deal on a used one, they're usually pricey. Quality usually does cost more. However I war fairly impressed with a cheapo I saw recently. At least that particular weapon did great. Now I don't know if they all do, but I may find out if another does soon. Yes, I'm finally considering carrying something besides my 45.
@@WHOTEEWHO yep deals are good, I hate to pay retail for anything. by the way, you should WD the hinges on that flapper target. It would probably work better.

I had one in 9, and 357, great guns, a bit on the heavy side but on the other hand it manages recoil better, I guess.
That’s nice looking pistol, I’ve seen you shoot so I’m guessing it’s pretty accurate , how easy is it to take down and clean.
hmm good question - i have never taken it apart
