The orange triangle isn't allowed by the Amish in our community. I had to petition our county council because the lack of reflection on a black buggy being driven at night and being pulled by black horses and the people driving it wearing all black makes it very dangerous in the dark, especially if its raining or snowing. I go to a non instrumental Church of Christ. Like your Amish communities, they all are independently governed by a group of elders, so we can vary wildly. You can walk into a CoC 5 miles down the road and there will be a drumset and organ set up. Kinda similar to the disparate Amish communities, just not as controlling outside of church operations. (We are all of one baptism, I'm not damning anyone for praising the Lord with strings, It's just the way we worship. If I didn't believe it to be right, I wouldn't do it.) It's a slippery slope into entertained versus praising and thanking God. Which can pull towards loving the world. So as much as it turns my stomach to think that a child could be hurt over not hanging a reflective triangle, I understand that there is legitimate concern by the elders that they don't want the next gerneration walking around like zombies with their faces buried in these little black scrying screens like all us "anglish" folk. Cheers brother. Be safe out there. Praise God, and may he bless us all.
