One of the wires is a silver tinned copper wire that's made to withstand the elements like extreme temperature like humidity and snow. Most in the Midwest use that type of wire due to their weather. Personally I use welding cable and it's never failed me

The tinning on the copper wire helps to keep the wire from oxidizing (turning green) over time

If both 0 gauge runs feel heavy they're probably both ofc wire. If the silver one is much lighter than the other one it is CCA wire which is basically mostly aluminum but once again if they're about the same weight the one that is silver is just silver tinned copper which is nice because it's protected from corrosion.

Actually American bass fixed there mistake the xfl is 1500rms not 1000 my xfl 12 I had a year ago was 1500rms box said new in big lettering so they changed it I heard it was a typo on there part they were supposed to say 1500 not 1000
Both of mine have 1500/3000 and are currently taking 2500rms a piece my sdrs blew w a 600 rms and sounded like ass compared to my ddxs and XFLS
That's CCA wire that's silver in color the other is OFC. The weight is what is the sure tell if it's aluminum or copper .

SDR is 600 rms not 1200 that's peak power never pay attention to peak power always look at RMS.

Man all you need is a sundown audio x15 v3 d2 3000watt 2000rms subwoofer and a taramp smart3 1-2ohm 3000watt 3000rms monoblock. That's what I'm running and it hits so hard I can't believe 1 speaker puts out as much power and bass as it does. I'm running mine at 1ohm and believe me it will blow your mind how hard it hits
Oh yea I also ran 0 gauge wire and have a new battery in the back with a 30 farad capacitor and also did the big 3 upgrade under the hood and 4 new cerwin vega 6½" door speakers and a brand new "sky high car audio bass knob. That bass knob is a must have cause u won't never get your shit to sound good without one. Oh yea thats a bad ass cat to! Bet it is running hard as a mofo to! Check out the new sundown audio x15v3d2 15 " x-series subwoofer though! Mine is hitting so hard I've been told by numerous people they can hear me at least 4-5 miles away and I don't have nothing but a taramp smart 3 1-2 ohm monoblock and it pushes that sundown like it aint no tomorrow and I promise you will be very happy with the results. Hell if u got some money and want to get a better amp I'm sure that it would probably sound better than with a taramp but do u know how much a amp cost that has 3000w with 3000watt rms? Alot! This amp only cost me $265 delivered to my door from Amazon and even if u fuck it up u aint out of much money. Plus this amp pushes 3000watt with 3000rms at 1ohm or at 2ohm and if u check out the dyno test on these amps on youtube u will see that these amps can push up to 5000watts if u have 13.7 Volts and im running around 14.5-15 Volts at 1 ohm. U will be hitting so hard you will not believe that it is only 1 speaker. Every time someone asks me what kind of subs I'm running I tell them I only have 1 speaker and they just can not believe it until they look at the speaker. It looks like it will do da damn thing because it is thick around the edges and it has a 4" excursion when it's bumping. 4 inches is alot of bounce and it has a 3 inch dual voice coil like no other voice coil I've seen yet. Check them out and let me know what u think

Even comparing the EVL to the XFL the XFL is WAYYY better. Skar is garbage. The EVL's motor is way too small. Learn what TS parameters mean. Square the BL and divide it by the resistance to find out what the motor force is and you'll see why the skar evl is trash compared to damn near every other sub at the same price point.
Also the XFL 12 isn't 1000w anymore they're 1500w RMS now even though they don't advertise it.
