When I was a kid, I always thought that Megatron had an actual jet mode. it was only in recent years that I realized that Megatron's tank form in this movie possesses the ability to fly

From what I heard I think he's a triple changer, he has 3 modes not the usual 2

@@DESTRAKON yeah it's hard to see in the shot but his flying mode seems to be an in-between of his jet and tank mode, I'm guessing his tank mode can sprout some flight parts kinda like Tracks in the G1 show
The "little one" who gets destroyed had his parts used by the small decepticon. The part was used to fix megatron, hence he had the "Tank"-like appearance.

@@ridermanyt8029 yup, using Scrapmetal's parts, the Constructicons rebuilt Megatron with a new body. Once Scalpel hit Megatron with the shard, he was reformatted so his new parts merged with his old parts.

4:31 I just realized this (I could be wrong). This is the only time Megatron actually says "Optimus". Every other time he his says "Prime" whenever he refers to or is talking to Optimus

And how does the Allspark Cube fits in this lore? Because it's said in the First movie that the Allspark created the Transformers, altho later on in the 4th movie we see those alien ships coming to Earth in order to collect that metallic material( and we assume they are the alien race behind the creation of the transformers). Yet in the 5th movie that villaness Quintessa appears and claims to be the creator of Optimus. So basically the transformers have 4 distinct origins:
- Primus, the original being that became the planet of Cybertron,
- the alien explorers who came to Earth 66M years ago,
- the Allspark Cube,
- and Quintessa...
this whole story is so confusing 😥
@@corterapidoetramontina2904 it seems there are two different creators of the transformers in the bay verse, but to be honest, quintessenta seems to be the type to lie but even then, there is no definitive answer to say and only headcanons at best but even then, it is still not definitive.
The bay verse directors and writers are the only ones who can answer this questions and correct any loop and loose ends.

The reason our space travel takes so long is becouse every spacecraft we have made can only use an engine burn to get going the right way and then coast unpowered untill we get there.

@@kirk1133 I started looking up the math and just a 1 G continous acceleration and deacceleration between the semi major axes of Earths and Saturns orbits would take only 6 days. Space travel is far from slow if you can run the engines indefinetly.

Well, Megatron is the leader, Megatronus is just Megatron's mentor and has no interest in leading the Decepticon.
As much as these films have their issues the Decepticons are at least portrayed here as nasty, fucked up beings. Casually ordering the death of their comrade just for parts, Megatron crushing the little medic droids under his thumb and laserbeak killing that bird. Some great dark comedy
1: Scrapmetal was revived by the Allspark shard anyway
2: Those Scalpel clones are just mindless extentions of the original, and there's probably dozens of them so no one's going to miss one or two getting squished.

Biggest problem in this movie. Megatron is commanded by someone? Why is Megatron even working with a Prime when his revolution had the sole goal of destroying the Primes that literally caused the destruction of Cybertron.

Megatronus Prime (aka The Fallen) was one of the 13 original primes but he was exiled when he killed Solace Prime and thus collaborated with Unicron (Cybertron’s enemy and the enemy of the Primes) and became the first decepticon and Megatron was just some random gladiator guy who took Megatronus’s name because it was associated with power and glamour
Edit: also Megatron wanted to be a Prime when Cybertron was still peaceful but he was turned down by the council or whatever and instead Optimus (also Orion Pax at the time) was made a Prime because of his strength, valor, etc. Optimus and Megatron used to be like best buddies but Megatron turned evil after that and that’s why (SPOILER ALERTTTT) in The Last Knight Megatron said “Optimus, we were once brothers”

@Alex King how are you sure it's not a decepticon with the same body type? In the first movie Blackout was killed by the military then in this movie a Decepticon was killed by Optimus with the same body type named Grindor.
@Alex King yes and Devastator was destroyed by the rail gun. Scrapper id part of devastator and was seen in Dark of the moon. Also there were 2 Longhauls in this movie one forming Devastator and another looking for Sam. Wouldn't this mean there could be several decepticon who look alike? You know like how Thundercracker, Skywarp, and Starscream usually look the same. As for the six signatures that could be a simple mistake in the writing.

I just noticed this... Whenever The Fallen speaks in this scene, you can hear "divine" humming in the background. Most noticeable from 3:47 to 3:52.
Fits perfectly for his insane age, creator of deceptions, and, almost, god-like presence. I say that because you'd mostly hear that sort of humming inside religious places, and don't get me started on his own theme. THIS is why the fallen is my favourite.
My childhoods Megatron. The first version I ever saw. The second one was from the Transformers Prime series and only after that i found out about Megs's original design.
I like to say that I do like The Fallen’s design. Not going to go into deep details, but he has a pretty badass design.

This scene is actually really good from a writing standpoint. Yeah, its nothing groundbreaking but it shows some interesting character dynamics between Megatron, Starscream and the Fallen

I always thought that when starscream talked about "someone had to take command" he was talking about the fallen, but he was actually talking about himself. Megatron was mad at starscream for accepting megatron's death and becomming the leader instead of ressurecting him. So basically fallen is like a spiritual leader or supervisor, megatron is the commander of the army

Also everyone is talking about Scrap metal being one of the tallest in the scene. In theory, Micheal Bay either got lazy or the production team ran out of time or budget to produce a proper character mold because they are using Scrapper's mold as a stand in.
I like how they say “now have six contacts” even tho it should still be 5 since one had to die to make megaton
They also say “go deep” yet are close enough to surface when hit by megatron
I think Megatron may have registered as 2 contacts since he possessed the spark of that sacrificed Decepticon and is such a big dude to begin with.....
