I still don't quite understand how they were able to just walk up to the Monument and the DC area as a whole without the government or military being alerted.
That's a valid point. If I remember correctly, the movie even shows that humans have started using Energon detectors to identify cybertronian signatures. After the events of RotF, it shoukd be logical for the US government to install those in Washington DC to make sure no Decepticon can try infiltrate and attack sensible buildings.
I have a theory to solve all the confusion and the continuity errors… Original plan : Megatron knows the all-spark was landed on earth, with fallen’s guidance, they can use the all-spark to build their race, at the same time , ( secret plan )rendezvous with sentinel to build Cybertron and make earth slaves. ( he may or may not have wanted sentinel to defeat fallen, and fallen may not have known the whereabouts of sentinel, presuming he might be dead, so the fallen only needed Optimus to die, so that he can come back ) Megatron went to earth, and crash landed in 1897, sentinel wanted to go to earth, but crash landed on the moon. So they got separated. Leaving Megatron clueless about sentinel. Now, since the all spark is destroyed, they cannot build their race, then Megatron goes to the fallen, and learns about the second plan, to claim the matrix, use the sun harvester to make energon for the survival of their race. They got the matrix, but the fallen is destroyed, sun harvester is also destroyed, and Optimus obtained the matrix, this plan also failed. Then he remembered the original plan, through his, human collaborators, got to know that sentinel is on the moon along with the pillars, but they only wanted the autobots somehow know about sentinel location and revive him with the matrix, for that prime was needed, as he has the matrix. And yes, dont even ask about last knight plot line. That might be the only last plan, when all the other plans failed.
I dont think Megatron had any idea or even planned anything in Last Knight. He was revived in TF4 as Galvatron, and presumably in between the 2 movies, was found by Quintessa, was rebuilt back into Megatron and gave him the orders to find the staff and talisman in the promise of rebuilding Cybertron. He was basically following her commands
Sentinel: So lost you are, Optimus. On Cybertron we were gods and here, they call us machines. He may be dead, but his warnings came true during the Age of Extinction.

Weird that they never used this hidden army of decepticons Megatron had hidden on the moon this whole time in the first movie. Almost like the writers crammed that subplot in the last minute when making this film
The way Starscream says "So impressive." when talking about Sentinel hints that he's slowly becoming a more likeable Decepticon leader than Megatron and probably would have eventually taken over if Megatron didnt intervene in the final battle.
This happened countless other times in non-fiction documentaries and other movies (such as Purge Election Year when a purger cosplaying as Lincoln was brutally shot by the protagonists). And Lincoln is still 0.
When you think about sentinels agreement to activate the pillars made 0 sense, one he had the pillars, 2, the decepticons on the moon only awoke when the portal activated, and it’s clear he wasn’t happy with the arrangement. So what I’m getting at is, at this moment he should have realized with the arrival of optimus could have easily taken out megatron and starscream. Thus taking them out of the picture and then eliminating the decepticons before surrendering himself to his comrades for his plot with megatron. Sorry for the dump just my thoughts. Also he had the pillars they were in his protection so that wasn’t an issue either
What you must understand my Autobot brothers is that we were never going to win the war on Cybertron. For the sake of our race, a deal had to be made with Megatron!
I never understood this part. Were Decepticons and ships hiding on the Moon for thousands of years, or were they teleported from Cybertron to Earth when the Space Bridge was activated?

I still don't quite understand how they were able to just walk up to the Monument and the DC area as a whole without the government or military being alerted.
if u have time to watch the behind the scenes, they managed to get permission but i’m pretty sure they had to do it all in 1/2 takes
@@yapatz I think he means Megatron and Starscream not the actual cast or crew of the movie.
Because that would require more fireworks in the production costs and they needed to spend all of them predominantly in the climax
We needed Prime and his Matrix.
Excellent Strategy
I have a theory to solve all the confusion and the continuity errors…
Original plan : Megatron knows the all-spark was landed on earth, with fallen’s guidance, they can use the all-spark to build their race, at the same time , ( secret plan )rendezvous with sentinel to build Cybertron and make earth slaves. ( he may or may not have wanted sentinel to defeat fallen, and fallen may not have known the whereabouts of sentinel, presuming he might be dead, so the fallen only needed Optimus to die, so that he can come back )
Megatron went to earth, and crash landed in 1897, sentinel wanted to go to earth, but crash landed on the moon.
@@gajaan316 yeah, but last knight is shit, lets not even talk about that!😅
I did like seeing him sit on the chair. It fits himx
Sentinel: So lost you are, Optimus. On Cybertron we were gods and here, they call us machines.
He may be dead, but his warnings came true during the Age of Extinction.
Just became true because of Sentinel's betrayal. Hé was an Autobot, a Prime. Obviously the Earth started to see the Autobots like enemies because of Sentinel's choice,
@@gusto2385 it doesn't excuse humanity's evil actions and betrayals to the Autobots. Humanity in that movie never learns, and are more of an antagonists (except few) in 4 and 5.
@@hikari2752 not so much in 5th movie, but the focus is in 4th movie. The humans started a hunting against the Autobots not because they're evil. The hunting begun because of they knew what an only Autobot could do it against the Earth, to bring back Cybertron. I'm not giving any excuses to humanity (we not born in this world knowing what is good or evil). But the human nature not accept the Earth became Cybertron, in this point, knowing the their planet was gone because of war. Yet, I feel sad for Optimus in Age of Extinction because he believed the humanity still faithful in him and the Autobots, but Lockwood was right about the cause. The humanity not forgive a betrayal.
Sentinel Prime won't get away with this...
I just realized that lincoln memorial scene with megatron is actually also in the g1 cartoon, although the tone between the two is absolutely polar opposite.
I love how Optimus tackled Sentinel.
1:11 his right foot is clipping through the chair
“We needed Prime and his matrix”
The last movie you needed the matrix to destroy the sun
If that don't work theres always other plans for future use for it if it fails, in this case this film
Sentinel prime: the greatest villain in tf history
It’s nice to see Transformers with normal alt modes for once.
megatron is john willis booth for stealing lincolns seat
Sentinel Prime: Let The Humans Serve Us, Or Perish!
"No Sentinel!" almost as if he wasn't a sadistic monster who killed my favorite character
no I'm not talking about sentinel and ironhide, I was talking about optimus and shockwave
1:09 what did i just see man 👀🛞🛞
Never knew this but in 1:09 you see a edit error. The tires on Megatron's feet are going through the concrete a bit
One thing i never understood is why Megatron not just transform in a new vehicle so he can be fully repaired.
Like how Optimus did
Preferred megs in this movie just for how slimy and manipulative he was with the whole Sentinel Prime scheme and practically playing the autobots.
I would have loved it if megatron said the " Yes, this throne was made for me" line in this film, that would have made fans happy just hearing this voice say it
Weird that they never used this hidden army of decepticons Megatron had hidden on the moon this whole time in the first movie. Almost like the writers crammed that subplot in the last minute when making this film
It was Megatron and sentinels plan the other decepticons had no idea they were on the moon
The way Starscream says "So impressive." when talking about Sentinel hints that he's slowly becoming a more likeable Decepticon leader than Megatron and probably would have eventually taken over if Megatron didnt intervene in the final battle.
0:48 bro said “MiNe mIne”
1:03 pfffft yeah right like we forgive the ironhide killer 😠
I love the statue was built apart between lincoln and the throne
1:48 What it looks like when illegal aliens arrive on boats in your hometown.
1:09 I like how you can see Megatron’s wheels clipping through the statue
1:09 The wheel on Megatron’s left foot clipped into the base of the Lincoln Memorial
Did Sentinel order the humans to exile the Autobots?
Ye
No the humans are just stupid because they think they can handle the decepticon army themselves
Starscream and his sarcasm lmao
Oh my master, such a brilliant scheme 😂😂
I Like This One
In time you'll see.... ..That statement aged well considering how the humans killed most of the Autobots latter.
Sentinel is a cool betrayer but I don't know but he is just to evil more then megaton but the fallen is even more evil
Sadly the revelation that Unicron is earth would strongly imply they were right
1:13
Decepticons, transform and rise up
Megatron wheels when through Lincoln's chair 😅😢
Gun shot : 2
Lincoln : 0
This happened countless other times in non-fiction documentaries and other movies (such as Purge Election Year when a purger cosplaying as Lincoln was brutally shot by the protagonists).
And Lincoln is still 0.
Optimus prime : STOP NO NO NO SETINAL!!!! 😨
Me : Don't Do it!!!!!!!!! 😨
Can't believe Optimus didn't notice Megatron and Starscream at all
He probably did but didn't give a shit. I guess
1:10 Megatron's wheels clips into the staircase
Nah for some reason I thought optimus was going to said “it’s not over till I win
I wonder what happened to the Lincoln memorial in later movies
Sentinel deserved what he got at the end
Is it just me but at 1:09, Megatron's wheels on his legs clips into the floor?
1:10 bros foot is clipping through the statue
You're gonna pay for your betrayal, Sentinel prime.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Sentinel was right
Looked what happened to the autobots in the 4th movie
Nice film
Dark of the moon is the best
You know, megaton talked a lot of shit in this movie and did absolutely nothing to back it up
What you must understand my Autobot brothers is that we were never going to win the war on Cybertron. For the sake of our race, a deal had to be made with Megatron!
Anyone notice thr CGi mistake 1:11 megatons right wheel is rendered inside the staircase when it shouldn't be
That actually isn't a CGI mistake his tire is actually positioned right next to a smaller step on the monument.
Sentinel. Prime. Was. An. Autobot. And. Turned. Into. A. Deception
I never understood this part. Were Decepticons and ships hiding on the Moon for thousands of years, or were they teleported from Cybertron to Earth when the Space Bridge was activated?
Why is Starscream so dramatic when he speaks? Doesn't he know when to shut up?
In the first film he sounded badass
Maybe he pleases his master? He's kind of scared of megatron even when he is at his most weakest state, it's about the psychology.
@@finlandguy427 Still, Starscream sounds extremely overdramatic
@@michaelbenitez539 Yes but that's how i (propably) understand Starscream's character
@@finlandguy427 I think that during the Battle Of Chicago, Megatron didn't know that Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave were dead
Only just noticed Sentinel Prime has knuckle dusters
Sentinel absolutely disgraced the name AUTOBOTS and their reputation.
And then there was JETFIRE, a Decepticon who sacrificed himself so that Orion could save Earth.
Sentinel prime betrays the autobots.
2:04 a policeman was in that car that the con just shot.
Yep, and in other news, Bumblebee is yellow and optimus is a truck
Based Decepticon
1:10 Am I seeing shit or are Megatron's right foot wheels clipping through the stairs? 😅
I always heard we were guards once like they guarded the allspark
I LOVE MEGATRON
1:00 "Stop! No! No! No! Sentinel!"
Yep Pompous Gas Bait Prime Unleashed the Decepticon Army.
No Megatron you order Decepticon shot the ark
