Today I am trying out art supplies and crafts from Facebook promoted to me in sponsored posts but not sponsored. I decided to test and buy these heavily promoted products to see if they are actually any good. I recently did a video trying out Tik Tok shops overly hyped art supplies..so here's my version for Facebook 👀

I think they give you the stickers because some like to put the diamonds on little containers (like you can see on the video) and you can put the sticker on there :)
Honestly you could be right as I thought this during editing! The only thing that threw me off is it says “peel and stick on the gem baggies”
I have one of the paintgem kits and I used the stickers to label the bags of each colour! The spare blank ones I used for general label usage in my house 😅

@@ChloeRoseArtjust watching because I started one of these today, I got birds and butterflies, and yes let me confirm, I hate using the baggies. They’re so staticky, I have to put them in my little containers with dryer sheet to calm them down. I also have continually been putting my hand on it by accident lol.
Granted I already have lots of storage for them because I already like diamond painting but yea that’s what they’re for.
Came to say the same thing!! 😂 I have many containers, with a small case holding the containers I’m using for my current project and other containers in storage in my craft closet. I love having labels included, makes it wildly easier for storage. I hate using gems out of baggies now that I have proper little containers!! 😂
Don't worry about your background not being aesthetic or about getting frustrated with the crafts - I LOVE how relatable and down to earth you are 😃 Obviously you're an extremely talented artist, but I like that you get gems stuck to your arm, or spill paint on your desk etc and show us the real process in making your art. Great video as always!
I work for a diamond painting company and I'm absolutely obsessed! Lol 10/10 way to relax and has been so good for my mental health. Love that I can listen to YT videos or audiobooks while I work on them. So glad you enjoyed the PaintGem set!
Can I ask where you work? I'm jealous beyond all measures!! I'd definitely spend all my money on diamond painting kits. 🤣😂

@@ghoulchan7525 I hear ya! My particular company requires any artwork to be hand-edited even if they use AI as part of their process (no straight from the prompter images). We also clearly state which pieces were created with the help of AI, and only a very small percentage of the artists we license use it.

Oh by the way, you had the cassette tape upside down. That grey bit sticking out goes at the bottom. If you look, it says “mix” at the top when it’s the right way up. You made a mix tape 😊😊😊

I LOVE Paintgems. I have bought a bunch of their kits. My tip for finding the right bags is to put them in alphabetical order, then number order, then the symbols. I also bought A6 size trading card holders that have 8 slots on each page, 4 on each side (designed for K-Pop trading cards) and put the gem bags into the card slots. Then I work through the bags in order and look for that letter, number, or symbol on the painting. It has streamlined my process so much working on them.
So some dismond art kits are circles some are square. Each behave a little differently. Circles are more beginer friendly and they have alot of shone to them Squares can be harder but are great for more detailed work. I love doing both myself depending on the project. Also the stickers are for use if you put the drills in your own storage rather then working out of bags

Chloe, as a fellow left handed person, have you ever considered doing things from right to left so things don't get on you left hand? Like the gems, starting from the right top corner
for the gems in particular its better to start on your dominant side because the paper itself is whats sticky so better to rest your hands on the gems
For the diamond art I am so glad they put the gems in a ziploc. Many I have gotten come in cellophane then you have to put it in a ziploc bag, which is wasteful!
I've been watching you for years and I've never seen you so angry 😂😂😂 I definitely appreciate the effort and stubbornness to finish the whole piece though. At the same time, doing even more frustrating things while already doing a stressful move isn't the greatest idea. I wish you guys an easier time moving even though I know it's not easy at all 🍀🍀🍀
"Take your brain out and throw it in a lake" brilliant yes there are definitely days like that! I got my SEN students into diamond painting before covid was a thing. It kept them entertained for hours and they loved it. Lots of beautiful designs and they turn out so well. Thanks for another great video Chloe

Diamond painting is really nice and chill. Me and my mom finished a piece that's taller than me. Maybe like a single size bed, and there were like 50+ colors of beads. Also shake the tray side ways to make them flip over easier, and keep your beads alphabetical and on a tray organizers.

😂😂 I’m sorry I couldn’t help but laugh at your rage. This video made my day. Diamond art is fun and relaxing for me. I used Moriah Elizabeth’s code to get a kit like last year. It was a sunset over the ocean scene and it turned out beautiful. It’s so satisfying and relaxing. I also do adult coloring too 😊
I watched this while doing diamond painting, which I always call me dumb hobby but I love it. I have a 15 year old punch rug that I never finished so there's that. I've done several Paint Gems and they're super cute.
Hullo Chloe, I rather think the stickers for the "bags" are for alternative storage cups. In your video you show someone taking the "jewels" out of plastic cups with lids! The provided stickers would go great on top of those caps or on the side of the cups! I do enjoy watching you work on projects and I really hope you can get back to painting one day? It does NOT need to fit all in one video, but it is up to you. I loved your Bob Ross painting and the VanGoth mural you painted as well and I hope you do another in your new place! See ya next video!
Diamond art is definitely a zen craft. I like to put on a podcast and go at it. I also love the texture after, so it's sensory fun too

It was all together, screen and “tower”, except the keyboard. 12:55 Have no idea 🤷♀️ , maybe a rock band album cover? The Spider-Man hand is “I love” rock and roll, I think 😂. Can’t wait to order this ❤
I am a diamond painter and love it. Art in any form is my therapy. But yes diamond painting is the most relaxing. 💜💜

I've just started playing with diamond painting. I put wax paper on the sticky canvas when I want to keep lint off of it, or I want to rest my hand and don't want tot take off the stick. Baking Parchment will also work I believe.

The gem project reminds me a lot of the paint by numbers kits I used to do when I was younger. So fun!
Loved your reaction to PaintGem - they were my gateway too. My first thought is "Why would I do this if I am an artist and can make my own?" and then I did it and the meditative nature of it and while you're doing exactly what they tell you to do, you feel like pseudo creative? I don't know, but it's legit.
This is the same thought I had with coloring books. Now I have over 50 books, and a mountain of coloring supplies... I am a digital artist, and tbh coloring books have made me rediscover my love for traditional media XD
14:00 Coming from Cross Stitching, I think the reason they don't label the bags is for easier packing. The symbols might change from project to project / box to box. This way, they only need to add a sticker sheet and put the fitting bags inside, while the bags are probably used for several kits.
13:54 a lot of people will put the diamonds in their own containers (think a pill case) so they can use the stickees there instead!

I‘ve tried diamond painting during Christmas. I found a Bob Ross picture on a canvas that had a hut „coloured“ for diamond painting and I got some Christmas themed stickers. I have to say it’s not for me. I do not have the patience for it because I‘m not making progress as fast as I like. Something I struggle with in crocheting, too
That was how I felt about diamond painting before I found the Paintgem sets. They are are small size and can be finished in an hour or two. I love the immediate satisfaction I get with the smaller ones. I can sit for hours working on multiple of them at a time, but I can not get into working on bigger canvases, even though I would spend the same amount of time on them.
I got a couple of the PaintGem kits as a stay in date night thing, and me and my spouse have both really enjoyed them. I like that they are small and don't take a crazy amount of time.
The diamond art picture you didn't know what it was, I think that's a skateboard with wings! The available kits were SO cute, I couldn't decide which I would have bought from that list that you showed, so I think you did well to choose at all :D The painting with yarn thing looked like an absolute nightmare so I solidly commend you for sticking with it and actually finishing, I would have given up for sure! (And I taught myself to crochet, so, I have patience but holy dooly!!) I liked the diamond painting kit, I agree much better when it’s smaller ones. My sister and I did some on holiday last year, they’re still not finished cos they were too big to do on holiday and they’re just sat in a cupboard since! Great video 😊
just FYI for the diamond paintings, I would recommend applying a coat of mod podge gloss after you are done. It will keep the diamonds from falling over time.

I love diamond painting. I didnt think i would but i find it sooooo relaxing. I just do a few hours a week so it takes me forever but i love the process.
I definitely understand your frustrations with punch needle. I tried it and nope. I'll stick to latch hook, thanks. I've also been crocheting for 18 years and I always found it easier than punch needle.

Aw, I’m sorry you had troubles with the lunch needling! My guess is that you either didn’t thread the punch needle correctly or you weren’t facing the correct direction. I’m only new to it, but I haven’t found it to be difficult. Once you correctly figure out the needle, I’m sure it will be a breeze! ☺️

It is a finicky craft and you are right it isn't really beginner friendly but once you get a flow going it can be meditative. I like the sound it makes when it goes through the cloth.
I loveeee diamond art. I’ve done a few big ones and then my aunt found me Christmas cards to do which was nice having a smaller less time consuming one. The last big one I did was starry night and it was beautiful it took probably a week granted I wasn’t always working on it but still a long time. It is nice your package comes with them labeled in the bags because I swear starry night had over like 50 colors probably more and I got like 10 bags so then I had to go buy ziplocs because I didn’t know what to do😂

I love diamond art, the stickers are so you can put them in little containers and keep them better organized
A lot of people use a craft knife to cut the film on the diamond art in sections then your hands won’t keep getting stuck to the sticky bits say if your right handed cut the film starting on the left then you can rest your hand on the film without it getting stuck or top to bottom or specific colour sections ect 😊
The trick to punch needling is small stitches so the loops of yarn hold each other together.

By the way if you just fold the plastic over and keep it on the rest of the sticky stuff you won’t get your hand stuck to it constantly. Then when you need to stop for a bit you can fold the plastic cover back over and stop dust etc. love diamond painting it’s therapeutic.

14:37 as a diamond painter chloe doing everything wrong is killing me its called a wand not a stick u only peel the plastic of the bit ur working on and u cut or fold it back the red stuff is wax the diaminds come in different shapes but theyre mostly circles and just omg i just cant 😭😭😭
Moving again? I do not envy you. Although I think you mentioned previously that you had a lot in storage, so I hope you had less to do this time. I would get ragey too over that project 😂 I would actually be more radey with the diamond painting. I don't like intricate things like the really detailed colouring books, so those would not be my thing. I would also get annoyed if the gems weren't perfectly placed. I hate seeing gaps between them because some gems were placed too low or high or right or left etc.
The first project was done on the wrong side I watched nerd forge and the fluffy side is the front it should look like a fluffy rug!! Not hating! it turned out really cute anyway! You did a great job!

The gem kits tell u to label the bags urself because some ppl use little gem containers and so they want you to be able to label them how u want whether you use a bag, or something else ❤
