@@theoldcameraguy Thanks! I was impressed with the digital stuff also, makes me want to get an inexpensive dslr and convert it to IR! Thanks for watching 🍻
I have a print on my wall of a shot I took back in the '70s on Kodak Aerochrome colour slide film, of a friend walking past a neon sign at night. Because of the slow shutter speed, he showed up as a ghostly shadow in front of the eerie green sign (which was in reality red.) Lovely stuff, I wish it was still available.
Great video like always. Very informative. Perfect timing, as just by chance I had planned on heading out tomorrow with my Fuji G690, Ilford SFX and an R72 filter my friend lent me yesterday.
Excellent video, Alex! You helped demystify infrared photography for me. Still have to try with an R72 filter, but I’m starting with a deep red filter on some IG posts. I always learn something from your videos. Thanks 🙏🏻
@@anthonys_expired_film Thank you! I did a lot of reading and looking at Physics whenever writing the script! Glad I inspired you to try it out! Thanks for watching 🍻
This was a really good video. I haven't tried shooting infrared on film...but I have on a DSLR. I've had some good results using my Fujifilm IS Pro...which is an infrared camera. One thing I've had to work around is hot spots in my photos from some lenses. Some lenses are more susceptible than others.
Thanks! Thankfully, I haven't encountered hotspots on the limited number of lenses I've shot with IR! I'm somewhat jealous that you have a dedicated IR camera! Thanks for watching 🍻
I really dig the dramatic look of those shots you got with the D750. Good stuff!

@@alexanderdobroruka8534 Oh nice! I have yet to shoot SFX behind an R72! Hopefully by the end of summer! Thanks for watching 🍻

Well done Alex. I will have to try my R72 on my digital cameras. Have you considered trying trichomes using IR film?
@@stevenwagner7520 Thanks! It is a lot of fun shooting with the r72 on a digital. I haven’t done anything with trichromes! Thanks for watching 🍻
I shot one roll in the 90's, it was very overxposed but cool
@@chriscard6544 I totally understand, my early attempts were terrible but amazing, which pushed me to get it right. Thanks for watching 🍻
