In 3 years of RUclips, this must have been one of the most requested topics, how we pronounce the runes here in Northern Norway.
To wake up the runes in magical workings I feel it is important to use the correct sounds. That is of course what I feel, it works for me...a big portion of my University MA was focused on glottology...so I reckon this is also one of the reasons why I feel that way.
This video will take us through the pronunciation of the runes here in Northern Norway.
Love
Freyia
Thank you ! I was always unsure of my french prononciation ! How your voice seems to whisper and chant the runes at the same time is beautifull ! And now with your help I wont be offending the runes and the gods by my ignorance ! Thanks again !
This is how we pronounce them here in the North of Norway, so you won't go wrong. Will soon make a video about what the more correct pronunciation "historically" speaking is: all runes ending in Z sound like R instead. Will demonstrate that so no worries. Hugs from the high North of Norway xx
@@FreyiaTV what an exciting annoûcement, I won’t miss this video. Sunny hugs from South of France !
Much gratitude for this beautiful lesson 🌞Blessings from the beach 🌊🌴
There was something so refreshing about speaking the runes, properly. Like reconnecting with long lost friends. Tusen takk,
Tusen tack, kära🙏

Thank you Freyja. I too believe that the correct pronunciation is important when invoking the Runes. 🙏
This is really helping me memorize these. Thank you!
Wow
This was so magical

This was very sweet and so calming to do along with you! ❤
By the gods I am always assured that I am never alone, even in my thoughts. Thank you for your service Freyia, I cannot Express how thankful i am to blessed with the opportunity to witness what I have. The gods are with you this I know. I don't believe in coincidence and you have now solidified my walk.
Wonderful - thank you as ever, Freyia! The calling of the names of the runes as they should be called, the power of the names and actual the calling in your gentle voice is utterly compelling x
Hey 👋 Freyia!

Daniel had this great idea to make it a practice video, I think it's gebius, so people can truly learn very easily 😍🙏
Fantastic!
Really enjoyed this!!!!
Thank you so much. Luckily my language uses the rolling 'R' and the 'W' as a 'V' sound so this is a little easier for me I guess. Thanks again for your time and efforts. May the gods bless you abundantly. 😊🙏✨
Thank you Freyia & Dani for this!
My Respect and Gratitude 💯❤️🔥❤️🔥💯
Are able to help pronounce words in Elder Futhark Runes as well? Thank you for this video, it was exceptionally peaceful and enlightening. You have wonderful energy.
Thank you so much for your sevice Freyia!
Thank you. Very useful information.
Just found this - it was a bit of fun! Thank you Freyia for sharing it! I find it fun to listen to the accents (Dr. Crawford and you) when speaking the same runes, and how readily they are comprehended; now that is magical in itself.
This was great Freyia & encouraging the way you guys did it. I like how it was like a wheel being turned. Thank you🤍
Thank you so much for watching this, means the world to us 🖤

I thoroughly enjoyed that - being engaged, rather than passive, but I love what you do here. It holds my attention from beginning to end. Many I;ve viewed twice.
Thank You so much for this!
Thank you so much, for your help with the pronunciations. I will definitely be using this as a reference, until I have the hang of it, and have memorized them all.
Beautiful video, and thank you. This will help me so much in chanting and meditation.
Thank you, thank you! ❤

Thank you for this! I always have trouble rolling my Rs. And my horrible Boston accent seeps into everything😂
Thank You. I received my beloved runes from your store on the full moon eclipse, which I thought was special and now this video. Very much appreciated. ❤
So happy to hear that dear, such magic 🦌🕯️
Thank you so much. I've been doing rume readings for people but because I've studied for years and years alone I created the sounds in my head on my own because I never knew. But now that I'm following my path to read more runes for people, I want to show my respect by saying them properly. Thank you!!!!
So glad I at least got some of them right xd
Thank you for making and sharing this beautiful video.

I just ordered a set of Reigndeer Casting Runes from you Freyia. I'm very excited about it, and can't wait to use them. I'm hoping that you will bless them for me, as well as the Reigndeer antler bit necklace, that I got for my daughter. I loved seeing your items on Etsy, and will definitely be ordering more items from you in the future. Hope all is well, and have a wonderful day.
Hej Joseph, rest assured I will do that for both you and your daughter 🖤🕯️

[ ᛈ ] Is it OK if I pronounce PERTHRO (peorð) - like "perþō"?
*using the letter thorn + long o, instead of the letter eth*
Magic everywhere, Zendaya over there! ruppy clippers in the air!
Thank's God for this video!!! ^^
So so happy to read this, this is how we pronounce them here in Northern Norway 🖤🦇
It's a combination and map compass
I forgot w make v sound in English, been mispronouncing a few
Thanks
This comes just in time, I just ordered my first set of runes...
What else can I do to bond with my rune.
So they know me
Spend time with them, carry them with you all the time.
Question: is Eiwaz and Ehwaz both pronounced the same way?
Could you make a video about the pronunce with their norse name?
This is how we pronounce them in the north of Norway xx
@@FreyiaTV Yes but you are calling them with their germanic names, would like to know the pronunce of their ancient norse names
🤲🏻 ❄️ 🇳🇴
I'm confused between 03:35 and 04:16
What does it mean when you dream of jormungandr and his name is with you all day.
Can anyone use these runes or only certain bloodlines/backgrounds??
ruclips.net/video/4HnS_LMhuKk/видео.html
@@FreyiaTV Thank you!
😊 Definitely cheating! 😅😂 Thank you!❤
I thought the Z on the end of the runes was pronounced as an R :)
It is historically more correct to pronounce it as R indeed. But this video is about how nowdays people would pronounce them here in Northern Norway. I personally pronounce them with the R but nobody does in the current language up here. Hope it helps.
@@FreyiaTV yeah, we talked about it before. Just wondered why you pronounced them with an S sound here in this video, but it makes sense 😊✌🏻
Because this is how people would pronounce them here in Northern Norway, it is not like I pronounce them at least the only change I apply compared to how I pronounce them in this video is that all the runes ending in Z i pronounce R. Blessings xx
Why some sounds like Germany, in germany , w = v sound
Because we don't have the W sound in our language but only the V sound.
@@FreyiaTV I see, you know , I"m a music producer, I wanna bless every songs of I created
caught me cheating
😂😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘🤘
