2 years ago I found a white sheep during a storm, it had white eyes and started chasing me. I don't remember if i died but i know that i killed the sheep successfully. The only time I saw herobrine.
This is a masterpiece. The feeling that the real player possibly had when seeing that strange silhouette in the fog was not good at all, since he was playing one of the first versions of Minecraft at a time when the game did not have fame. It's hard to believe that this apparition is fake.
If you want it back and you play on Java you can get classic alternative and that gives back the sound, same with bedrock pc (can be done on console and mobile but is a fuck tone harder )

For some reason the old minecraft was so fun. Like it had mystery such as herobrine. Whenever you played your singleplayer world, you wouldn’t know for sure, that is herobrine there with you. And with the lack of good equipments at the time, you usually played on tiny fog. So it added more to the scaryness. I miss old mc.

I remember when i was playing minecraft as a kid (1.4.7), the feeling of loneliness, like you were the only human on that world but at the same time you feel like something or someone was watching you. That sensation make minecraft not a relaxing game but a creepy one. And this is the scary part, when you ask your self why a game like minecraft, that should be funny and relaxing, makes me watch my back because you feel like someone is behind you. I remember playing with a cousin on an ultra old mode of Minecraft PE in like 2013 and caves weren’t in PE edition and the time so I mine down and went into this massive, sort of cave. It was just an empty space filled that span the entire (limited) map at bedrock level with mobs and I immediately died and we saw a zombie that had its hand to its side like a player. . . Nah I doubt it was herobrine lol, but it still freaks me out on how there weren’t any caves back then.
Old Minecraft is an actual horror game. I have a creepy story from the early days of pocket edition. I was fairly young and didn't actually play any multiplayer games at the time (around 2012) so i didn't know pocket edition had multiplayer. Anyways, this random world popped up one day (i honestly dont remember if it was thru lan or smth) and i load into your typical world. Theres this other guy (were both steves) i forgot how most of our interactions went but in general we started out just looking at each other. I guess he didn't have a nametag or young me just didn't notice, anyways we got dirt and wood. We both managed to build some sort of shack without even communicating in chat. The first night sets in so me and him are on the roof of our base staring off into the fog of the mega short render distance. Then he typed something along the lines of "get inside" and i was like what lol. Young me didn't even know how to reply so i go inside with him. Odd, maybe he just didn't want to get shot by a skeleton. While in the house i swear the dude would only look at me. He never opened a single chest or looked out the window. He just stared. I know he wasn't afk because his head would move to look when i would move around the house. Later the next day we both go out and get wood and stuff. I must've neen playing for around 40 mins to a hour (i think) by now. I was kinda getting bored and went back to the base but all our chests were empty. The guy instantly blames me and says something cryptic (don't remember what just remember little me being confused)" i didn't even know how to respond so of course he murders me lol and takes the valuable dirt and saplings from my inventory. I was mad and wanted to kill him but he closed the world. Looking back, the guy moved so odd for another player. He was super robotic and precise for a mobile player. As a kid i even thought i was in maybe a single player that let you have ai. I wish i could remember what strange things he wrote in chat. So basically he was either some random person nearby on lan or herobrine or some sort of demented ai. Whole thing is just so vivid and nostalgic. Its always creeped me out what happened.
Remember when every Minecraft update used to have "Removed Herobrine" to imply that they keep removing him but he keeps coming back :p Also when you sleep, there used to be a chance that a zombie or skeleton would spawn near the bed and wake you in the middle of the night. They could totally do this if they wanted.
Eyes Of A Puppet YES! There was a youtuber who would play Minecraft with his father and sister. The first few nights was about dealing with zombies and skeletons spawning immediately after sleeping and eventually he said that, you need to replace all grass blocks into different blocks.
The terrifying part is that if your a Minecraft veteran you know you remember the old days and you look at this again and again and you look at the lore and you see all these dots that connect and then then you never feel alone

If you weren't playing on a server, Minecraft back then was such a eerie game playing alone. The haunting music, the fog covering the draw distance, the minimum amount of mobs, no structures or any sign of civilization. It really felt like you were the only human alive in an endless empty world, no wonder Herobrine worked so well in such an isolation feeling game. it wouldn't work at all for today's Minecraft.
Agreed. One day, I decided to go back and try Alpha. It was honestly the scariest Minecraft version. The old textures makes the world feel more.. unknown. The passive mobs were quite uncommon to find. Making the world feel more.. empty. But, in dark areas, it feels like we are not alone. Is that just me?

The very idea of something like herobrine, even now, is downright terrifying. Just the fact that such an innocent, happy game would have something so eerie made alpha feel more like a horror game than a fun kids game
I remember when i was trying this version of the game. I think there was a demo i was playing or something. My parents wouldnt let me buy the game until i tried it. It was very eerie, i refused to go into caves and stayed outside. I always closed my eyes when it was night time and make my dad play. Something about it during this version of the game is just very unsettling

Well, you were just like me. Came back from Kindergarten, turn on my very first android 4.4.2 tablet. And the first app I open up is Minecraft. It was free back then. The minecart without rails glitch. My old world with a huge RUclipsr statue that I built. But, when 0.9.0 rolled around, mods started to come. I teleported to a random cordinate, but since it was 0.8.1, the world was limited. And I ended up in a blank space. And I had to remove the world from my list. Good and simple servers, good community, good old days. (Also, the Minecraft Hunger Games was like.. The ultimate minigame.)
I remember when the screen is covered with a chat in online servers (like survival games). There were more players because back then because you don’t need to make XBOX account to play online. Now all I can see in most of server are silence because of that update. The update was around 2015 - 2016, well nobody will ever like that update.
I’ve been playing Minecraft since 2010 and I’m 15 now. Seeing herobrines name still gives me chills... I remember the days me and my little cousin would try our hardest to get him in our survival world. Video after video. But to no avail. We go in that world every once in a while. And to this day you can see the broken herobrine “spawners” the forest is still burning from when we would act like he was there but in reality it was just one of us. I’m proud to say I lived through the herobrine era. 🤙🏽

I remember when i was playing minecraft as a kid (1.4.7), the feeling of loneliness, like you were the only human on that world but at the same time you feel like something or someone was watching you. That sensation make minecraft not a relaxing game but a creepy one. And this is the scary part, when you ask your self why a game like minecraft, that should be funny and relaxing, makes me watch my back because you feel like someone is behind you.

I remember playing with a cousin on an ultra old mode of Minecraft PE in like 2013 and caves weren’t in PE edition and the time so I mine down and went into this massive, sort of cave. It was just an empty space filled that span the entire (limited) map at bedrock level with mobs and I immediately died and we saw a zombie that had its hand to its side like a player. . .

Old Minecraft is an actual horror game. I have a creepy story from the early days of pocket edition. I was fairly young and didn't actually play any multiplayer games at the time (around 2012) so i didn't know pocket edition had multiplayer. Anyways, this random world popped up one day (i honestly dont remember if it was thru lan or smth) and i load into your typical world. Theres this other guy (were both steves) i forgot how most of our interactions went but in general we started out just looking at each other. I guess he didn't have a nametag or young me just didn't notice, anyways we got dirt and wood. We both managed to build some sort of shack without even communicating in chat. The first night sets in so me and him are on the roof of our base staring off into the fog of the mega short render distance. Then he typed something along the lines of "get inside" and i was like what lol. Young me didn't even know how to reply so i go inside with him. Odd, maybe he just didn't want to get shot by a skeleton. While in the house i swear the dude would only look at me. He never opened a single chest or looked out the window. He just stared. I know he wasn't afk because his head would move to look when i would move around the house.
Later the next day we both go out and get wood and stuff. I must've neen playing for around 40 mins to a hour (i think) by now. I was kinda getting bored and went back to the base but all our chests were empty. The guy instantly blames me and says something cryptic (don't remember what just remember little me being confused)" i didn't even know how to respond so of course he murders me lol and takes the valuable dirt and saplings from my inventory. I was mad and wanted to kill him but he closed the world. Looking back, the guy moved so odd for another player. He was super robotic and precise for a mobile player. As a kid i even thought i was in maybe a single player that let you have ai. I wish i could remember what strange things he wrote in chat.
So basically he was either some random person nearby on lan or herobrine or some sort of demented ai. Whole thing is just so vivid and nostalgic. Its always creeped me out what happened.
Imagine as a halloween prank they added him secretly and he would only spawn when you slept... That would freak me out.

Firstly, I don't see why not both of those gamemodes.
Secondly, That'd be a great scare where not even peaceful saves you.
Remember when every Minecraft update used to have "Removed Herobrine" to imply that they keep removing him but he keeps coming back :p
Also when you sleep, there used to be a chance that a zombie or skeleton would spawn near the bed and wake you in the middle of the night. They could totally do this if they wanted.
Eyes Of A Puppet YES! There was a youtuber who would play Minecraft with his father and sister. The first few nights was about dealing with zombies and skeletons spawning immediately after sleeping and eventually he said that, you need to replace all grass blocks into different blocks.

I was terrified.
I remember being so scared of Herobrine that I NEVER played on Survival. I would get goosebumps at the slightest noise and would freeze in terror, even in CREATIVE mode.
If you weren't playing on a server, Minecraft back then was such a eerie game playing alone. The haunting music, the fog covering the draw distance, the minimum amount of mobs, no structures or any sign of civilization. It really felt like you were the only human alive in an endless empty world, no wonder Herobrine worked so well in such an isolation feeling game. it wouldn't work at all for today's Minecraft.
I miss the good old days when everyone ranted about Herobrine being real or fake. People doing spawners and loads of things. It was really fun.
Truly Nostalgic especially the c418 ost or soundtrack when playing the Game.

The passive mobs were quite uncommon to find. Making the world feel more.. empty. But, in dark areas, it feels like we are not alone. Is that just me?

It was very eerie, i refused to go into caves and stayed outside. I always closed my eyes when it was night time and make my dad play. Something about it during this version of the game is just very unsettling

We became convinced it was herobrine and travelled to the player arrow. When we got there, there was nobody there except a wolf. My cousin explained to me how Herobrine could take on various animal forms, I believed it and we practically worshipped the wolf.

2011 год,мне 5 лет,я зашел на мир из этого видео и сразу начал бегать, осматриваться и добывать дерево,добыл примерно 122 штуки досок которые были сделаны из дерева,аошел дальше и наткнулся на полянку(где был херобрин)сразу очистил ее и сделал свой дом,поставил там печку,сундук, верстак.Зашел в крафт и понял как делать стекло, пошел в шахту,добыл угля и обновил свой сет до каменного века, переплавил песок в печи и сделал окна, ночь,я решил сделать забор чтобы обезапасить себя от зомби,вышел и начал расставлять ограду вокруг своего убежища,и вдруг меня что то ударило,я ИСПУГАЛСЯ ТАК СИЛЬНО что отошел от экрана телефона на 10 сек,и дальше произошло самое страшное... появился херобрин!и он побежал прямо на меня!я увидел этого так как он был в цертре моего экрана!я быстрым рывком подхватил свое устройство и дал деру в свой дом!но он не унимался... бегал вокруг дома и как то умудрялся меня бить сквозь стены!адреналин???он зашкаливал!потом он исчез...и больше не появлялся,до одного дня,а имеено по счету это был 5 игровой день,середина дня,я уже достраивал свою крепость,в нее входило:

I had so much nostalgia with the old version of minecraft too, I started playing minecraft since 2012.
Well, you were just like me. Came back from Kindergarten, turn on my very first android 4.4.2 tablet. And the first app I open up is Minecraft. It was free back then. The minecart without rails glitch. My old world with a huge RUclipsr statue that I built. But, when 0.9.0 rolled around, mods started to come. I teleported to a random cordinate, but since it was 0.8.1, the world was limited. And I ended up in a blank space. And I had to remove the world from my list. Good and simple servers, good community, good old days.
(Also, the Minecraft Hunger Games was like.. The ultimate minigame.)
I remember when the screen is covered with a chat in online servers (like survival games). There were more players because back then because you don’t need to make XBOX account to play online. Now all I can see in most of server are silence because of that update. The update was around 2015 - 2016, well nobody will ever like that update.

I’ve been playing Minecraft since 2010 and I’m 15 now. Seeing herobrines name still gives me chills... I remember the days me and my little cousin would try our hardest to get him in our survival world. Video after video. But to no avail. We go in that world every once in a while. And to this day you can see the broken herobrine “spawners” the forest is still burning from when we would act like he was there but in reality it was just one of us. I’m proud to say I lived through the herobrine era. 🤙🏽
