Married With Children, In Living Colour, Benny Hill, 80s & 90s Sabado Gigante, & Night Court raised me...
Benny Hill is genius. Absolute Genius. Every sunday as a kid in France. Al s great too !
Benny Hill was pretty cool for a while, but he...objectified women sexually and I had problems with that. His shows were funny for a bit once a looked past that.

One of my friends is quite overweight and she also laughs at Al Bundy's fat jokes.
❤hehehe❤
@@Buds1own😂 Always loved that Neil Peart tribute. First saw it here on RUclips 15 years ago.
Here's the thing. Al Bundy had many issues. But he worked everyday at a thankless low paying job. He made sure his family never went without regardless of how disrespected he was. Never abusing his kids, cheating on his wife, and loyal to his friends, why is he considered so bad? Because he said all of the things people want to today but are too scared of anonymous keyboard warriors? I took my lessons from Al. My wife and I have been married almost 30 years. Our 3 kids all graduated college. Seems Al had all the right things to be a good father, husband, and man after all.
It is implied he starves them a little lol
Correct on all counts. Humour is his main aim. He was always respectful to Peg, no matter what the circumstances.
Well done for keeping your relationship working. You are a shining example of how to make a relationship work
Even with all the jokes and stabs at one another, when it was tested, you never really doubted the Bundy's love for one another.
@@kelleygreengrassthat's why they weren't fat😂😂😂
Decades later it's still funny as hell 😂
the best part of it all is al got as good as he gave. for every insult al gave to peg, peg gave one right back. same with marcy. al was a middle aged man who peaked in high school and worked at a shoe store. that's why it worked.
I WATCH ALMOST DAILY THE OFFICIAL RUclips CHANNEL, MARRIED WITH CHILDREN 😂❤❤

Al Bundy startet here in Germany in the 90. Every Episode is a classic piece TV history and it still runs on german TV. I love it.

Married with Children is probably one of the GREATEST comedies "EVER!" 😂😂😂

i liked it when jefferson teamed up with Al. he was a good fit for the show.
Most of the women were writers and comedians and wrote the jokes. They all had high praise for Ed O'Neal. He was very nice and respectful towards them, and greatly appreciated them being such good sports.

Remember, even back then in the 1990s, the show was popular exactly because it exaggerated with all settings to eleven. Its intent wasn't to depict everyday life.
It's similar to people who misread the Tyler Durden character from »Fight Club« as the based hero.
Tyler is not the hero. Al is not the hero. They are clowns.
I love how him and Marcy go at it too 😂
I loved that show. Theres a little bit of Al in every man.

And so are some people.acording to most gold diggers 😂
Al and Peggy made me laugh me ass-off. Oh, lord... sorry for laughing.
Yes, some people need to lighten up. I got thrown out of a club last weekend just because I was jokingly dancing with a guard there for like 3 seconds. But I got the last laugh on him since I snuck in again from the backside.
We got the Gay modern family he is in it married to Sofia Bergara...
Ñor before. This show was edgy as could be.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.
How could we forget? We were reminded almost weekly.

The only one who would forget this is Kelly.
Al and Griff had a great chemistry like Fred and Barney, Herman Munster and Grandpa and so many others. These clips also show Al's quick wit and sarcastic humor. Thanks for sharing this!
the DODGE MILLION MILE ODOMETER CONTEST, the nudy mags, adjusting the roof antenna and taking a fall for the family, priceless.

The "Gas Tank" line is my favorite.

Married with Children was such an awesome show and it still holds up today. This is one show that needs on revival, but only if they stay true to the show which they'd never do.
There was an episode where a mall Santa parachuted from a plane as a publicity stunt. His chute didn't open and he fell dead into the Bundy's back yard. They even showed Santa being wheeled out on a gurney. There was a parental guidance warning at the beginning. 😂

I’m 61……I still say what I want.
I'm 59 and I say what I want. I have respect for everyone but if I tell a joke or whatever I will say whatever I want. It's America and many Men and Women have gave there lives to give us that right. I would never say something to hurt anothers feelings on purpose but I'm not going to allow anyone to tell me what I can or can't say . I think most people feel the same way I do.

My mom knew 2 of the actresses that he insulted on the show. They were payed very well and they absolutely loved Ed O'Neil!
This show still runs in syndication, so it's not entirely off the table.
For a little bit of history, I was around when this show first released, back in '87 I believe, and it was extremely controversial back then as well. The difference is in today's world, this wouldn't make it on FOX today, but it was one of the staples that helped launch that network. At the time, we only had ABC, NBC and CBC, FOX was the fourth network and this show's ratings were off the charts, no way it would have been canceled, although people tried, even back then. lol
Yes they did. Some wacko lady from Michigan went on a personal crusade to get the show taken off the air. She made a lot of noise, but all she did was bring the show into the spotlight and generated attention sending it soaring up in the ratings.
We can all guess the body mass of those people 😜🤣
Allow me to continue.....
Fox was about to go under as a network. The others were to hard to compete with. Fox took a gamble. They allowed themselves to get down to just a hand full of employees including execs and gave the ole hail marry and gambled every last cent on this program
And it worked. They rebuilt Fox network off the back of this TV show.
Times changed and so did what other folks would allow on TV. So Fox quickly rebuilt and tossed AL and the gang afraid with all the changes to TV the show might drag them back to the depths they just came from.
Thing is, when you hear older execs talk about the beginning stages of Fox nobody ever mentions Married with Children. I wonder why?
@@yakfishin4912 Fox TV started only a year before married with children aired and the show lasted for 11 seasons which is extremely long for any show and particularly a comedy one

"These women are crazy"! I've never heard that before.
too be clear the writers of the show including O'Neill wrote the jokes because we thought they were funny and thats what made the show so popular. The ironic part is that even though we were more truthful and joked a little rougher we were more kind and respectful to each other than people are today.

One of the greatest sitcoms of all time
I grew up watching married with children and here in the UK it didn't start until midnight so I'd rush home from the pub and watch it and always looked forward to it, it's just a classic piece of American humour at its best 😊
I’m an American who was a teenager in 1987 when “Married With Children” began and it was THE show everyone was talking about (lots of people loved it, lots of people hated it). I was amazed when my relatives in Sweden and Australia began calling me to tell me they were watching it too, because lots of American shows didn’t get shown in other countries back then, or they got shown years later. When it was shown in Sweden it was shown with In English with Swedish subtitles, which is how the Scandinavian countries do it. The funniest time seeing the show was when I went to Japan and “Married With Children” was on several times a day at all hours. In Japan they have Japanese actors do the voiceovers in Japanese, and they talk VERY fast. Hearing and seeing Al Bundy insult fat women Japanese was absolutely hysterical!

Ahh the good old days. When people knew what a joke was & could have a good laugh.
I used to work at Thom Mcan as a teenager and then at a women's shoe store in midtown Manhattan NYC and can definitely relate. Some ladies came in asking for size 7 when they were obviously an 8.5 - hilarious; we used to stretch lots of shoes.
Al Bundy for President!!
With Griff as his veep.
The 2 burgers ad at the end was like a cherry on top of the fat joke desert 😂
I’m an old head and I remember when The show first came out. FOX had just started and Married w children was one of their starter shows. And I remember how much push back they got. Women groups were boycotting the show and some sponsors left, but because of all the free advertisement, they gained more viewers and became THEE show on Fox. Say what you want, but the show never disappointed on laughs and I’m glad the tv producers did not bow down to the women groups. Al Bundy will be an iconic character for the rest of history.
I haven't cried laughing like this since the 90's. Thank you.
