I made that nut roast for Thanksgiving last year and it was AMAZING! I’m planning on making it for Christmas this year. Tasted amazing, looked amazing. 10 out of 10.
The absolute best thing about all his recipes is, they are easy to put together and most important, they are flavorful. Too often, actually, all the time, whatever pre-made item I have bought has the texture of cardboard and tastes like chalk. TY for sharing all recipes through RUclips and especially your books, which are amazing. You've taught me how to cook and actually love what I've cooked.
I made the Christmas Wreath last year and took it to a friend's house. All the carnivores loved it. They still had prime rib but, I broadened their idea of Christmas food. Thanks Gaz!
How sweet is the roast? I've made a similar one before with cranberries, apricots, spices etc, by the time all the flavours were in it was just too intense I could only eat 1 slice, it also fell apart when sliced
@@itsgeraldine8837 The roast itself is not particularly sweet but, the cranberry sauce is very sweet. I didn't have a problem with it falling apart as long as I cut wedges instead of slices (like this video).
Ardeth Ellis Good4 u, I just can not stomach the stench of a dead animal on the table😷 & watch them eat the poor thing😳😔 Keep working on them sweety👍🏻👏🏾👏🏽
So much beauty in the simplicity of the ingredients as well. It just feels so natural and light and healthy yet festive and I'm just struck. So lucky to have stumbled across this video it made my whole day I'm totally inspired now.
Hello Gaz! Now this is a wonderful thing that you have done today by posting these vegan, Christmas roast recipes! I really applaud you you are really awesome and sincere and good at your craft now you're better than good at it for your most excellent. This is wonderful and I thank you very much for it. I'm going to buy your book just to support you I'd rather watch your videos and get your recipes online but I'm going to buy the book anyway because I think you're great. I hope you stay on RUclips and stay with what you're doing don't leave us for your own restaurant you are what the world needs we need a person like you who super talented to show us how to make wonderful dishes without cruelty. I'm very grateful to you for doing this
I put this together tonight for our Christmas dinner (refrigerated the wreath until ready to bake for dinner on Friday). I had some extra filling left over in the pot, so I made it into a mini-loaf pan and baked it to try it out... OMG AMAZING!!!!! I could tell from the aroma that it was going to be fabulous, but no idead it would turn out this fabulous. If you haven't tried this yet, I strongly encourage you to try it out. My meat loving family think it's awesome and Vegans can be super proud of this main course for their holiday (or any other) meal. My 21 year old son told me to keep it in my regular rotation of family dinners.Don't be too worried about precise measurements... this recipe is quite flexible in that regard. And don't freak out over the cinnamon all-spice. It ties everything together so wonderfully and gives it the taste and smell of Christmas. The ingredients cost comes to around $40 USD, but well worth it in my opinion.
Omg 😳 How were the meals? I’m drooling at all of these videos in Sept. 2020 because you know, quarantine 😂. I want to make these now, to practice in time for Christmas.
I made both for Christmas the Tart Tatin was a huge hit, I only got to try a tiny piece because it went quick, lol. Very delicious. The roast didn't come out perfect but it still was just as popular as the ham. thx Gaz

@@ceolbeats7182 I didn't even eat the ham, you know because i'm vegan, I only mentioned it because the reef was just as popular as the ham even though I didn't get it perfect. your post sound deranged btw. I wouldn't be surprised if you barely have anyone left who even wants to talk to you at all irl.
I agree. I looooove Gaz's Christmas jumper because I absolutely detest naff Christmas jumpers and would NEVER wear one myself but his one is so ironic I would definitely wear that if I had to.
You honestly made my Christmas this year! It’s been a hard year for everyone but my brother managed to get away from the frontline to join us for Xmas and everyone was so sceptical about a vegan dinner but they fell in love with this! Thank you so much ❤️
Truth is...you're the show stopper Gaz, the exquisite food is just a wonderful bonus! I learn something every time, didn't know there was a vegan puff pastry option out there.. Great vid by a great crew as always! Thanks bunches and enjoy this special season!!
Most of the time, if you buy your puff pastry from the supermarket, it will be dairy free, as oil/margarine is cheaper than butter. Although it definatly pays to check ; )
Wow, looks so classy! Usually I turn to the vegan junk food like using beyond meat to just veganise recipes for Christmas gatherings but this looks so tasty and is also healthier and easier to access which is a win. Thank you 😊
I looooove the snowy effect at the beginning of this video. Can we have it for all your December videos please? 🎅 And your Christmas jumper is the bizz. The only one I would ever consider wearing as I hate naff gaudy tasteless Christmas jumpers but yours is so ironic. 😁 Oh, and the food didn't look too bad at all. 😋
There are so many things to love about your videos. Your recipes are really healthy and brilliant. Your settings are superb. Great editing. I love seeing the messed up bits. Oh and did I mention you are very good looking x
I’ve prepped this for Xmas tomorrow - but forgot to add sage and nutritional yeast - it still smells A M A Z I NG!!! I’m going to make the cranberry sauce in the morning - can’t wait!!
As always, amazing videos, Gaz!!! You make everything look so delicious! Thank you so much. Keep living your dream . . . Can’t wait to hear your restaurant announcement! Much love to you.😀

Made the wreath this year! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Thank you!! I can't wait to make it again!!
I am preparing right now for my family lunch in Australia to show them that you don't need to eat meat especially not on the day of the year that is about love and peace! thank you it smells amazing!
Sooooooooooo excited to make this for christmas day. I researched the tin and found it to be called a 'Savarin' tin, easier to say than christmas wreath tin :) Merry Christmas Gaz hope you have a good one, thank you for all the gorgeous food videos you have provided us with this year!!! Looking forward to next years and hopefully visiting your new restaurant :D
We don’t celebrate Christmas in my family because we are Muslim but I celebrate a Friendmas with all my friends and coworkers. This is a must! I’ll be making both Lord willing
I just made THE BEST CHRISTMAS VEGAN ROASTS my first ever nut roast. I didnt use the Christmas spices or the fruit as i wanted see what it was like without it as im not a fan of sweet with savoury. I did the Best Ever Vegan Gravy with it aswell and it was absolutely amazing really liked it wonderful rich flavour. A real restaurant quality vegan recipe. Cheers Gaz
I sometimes doubt my professionally honed cooking skills, as well; it means I never get cocky and always try harder. The presentation of the nut roast wreath is breathtaking! The shallot Tarte Tatin particularly appeals to me, as an apple Tarte Tatin fan. How to choose? ; ) TFP!
Now there's a tongue twister! Say three times quickly Christmas Roast Wreath. Tripping over my words, and that's without any shots involved! Love your work Gaz. I made your Seitan Roast Wellington last year, and it was the bees knees! Thank you and keep up the good work.
Thank you for your awesome videos.. I got your Christmas book last year. This year we are making the nut roast for Christmas along with the yorkshire puddings once again : )
I made this just now and used hazelnuts I place up chestnuts as they are hard to find in aus, also accidentally roasted all of my pumpkin for something else I was making so I used some frozen pumpkin purée I had and added that in at the end and added 2 Tbs of flax seed to bind ❤️💕
Love seeing you cook can’t wait for your restaurant I love to travel will pay to eat at your restaurant. You’re one of my favorite vegan chefs and I have your cookbooks
Thank you for making the loaf gluten free. I made a version of a Wellington sans the seitan. Anyhow thank you! I’ll be making this for the holidays! I love your content! Very inspired.
Gaz. You are great at what you do. Why critique and judge and subtly put yourself down throughout the video? Cook with the confidence we know you have. We’ve seen it in video’s past. Thanks for your time. ✌🏻&❤️ -Bobby
I can't wait to try to make the Tarte Tatin, although I am soooooo f-ingggg scared of turning a red hot pan onto a plate....have you ever experienced it when there was boiling sauce still in the pan? xx Merry Chrimbo and all the big love for 2023! xx
