NL inspect Skelly's prize at the bottom right of Skelly's room, for the first one you need to win a run on 8 Heat which you've done and it fulfills a prophecy!
I see NL still hasn't figured out how to control budget cuts.
But based upon the tittle he probably succeeded anyway.
Also not sure if you've done it yet but there's three statues near the Pact of Punishment at the start, examining those and meeting their criteria will do Skellys quest.
Ive managed a 32 heat run with the 7 minute timer, just not using budget cuts or reducing my options/boons and not increasing max HP on enemies. Chaos Aspect shield is insanely strong once maxed out. What I think makes you "slow" is how little you dash attack. Typically I am mashing the X and A button together an awful lot. Chaos Shield lets you play a bit more safe with bullrush, special, dash, repeat.
You still need to unlock a summon ability which will change how you play. Sisyphus Bouldy summon literally deals 1,000 damage and air drops in health. Using Ambrosia to upgrade it lets you use it 5 times per run. I'd definitely push to unlocking Bouldy by talking to the NPCs and giving Sisyphus ambrosia as much as possible then doing his quest. Since you won't read it you basically talk to NPCs for him then buy his contract from the architect vendor.
Just any of the companions, they are the true ults.
Watching the basic Elysium boss fight I have to say that I prefer the extreme measure one, just because Theseus isn't hiding behind his shield constantly.
I hope he will try it on next episode, because I heard that it's the last one for some time.
I swear NL gets hit by projectiles MORE on shield runs
In case you didn't know. Trinkets such as Spiked collar don't need to be held to keep the bonus. Once you get it once you have the HP permanently so no reason to keep it between floors.
wait. what. I literally used that for my first like 15 runs and always assumed you had to keep it equipped
@@flaminggalaxy-osubindingof1283 For the 2 trinkets that get stronger from beating rooms faster or taking no damage you do have to keep. however for the HP and $$ ones just having it once is perfect.

Why even re-balance mirror effects after taking budget cuts
I love NL, but it's that lack of attention for some things that infuriates me to no end. I still watch all of his videos tho so
@@MrMiniP to be fair it's kind of a bad design from the game side, you should get some extra info about it when you first pick it
@@greindes1579Actually, you're right. The description for it is: "Each rank reduces the Mirror's maximum benefit by -500 Darkness, starting at 2500Darkness." so it's easy to assume that it doesn't get reset to 0 every time. Then again, you get the popup for getting all of your darkness back in the bottom left so who knows really
After I first took it I assumed I could only hold a maximum 2500 darkness at a time, it took me 2 runs to figure it out lol.

I'm not sure about phones, but speakers with Assistant built in at least are also triggered from some interesting nonsense phrases such as "cocaine poodle"

nl play more hades theres a new goddess and i've rewatched every ep of this series 4 times now, its getting to where I can quote them. Im gonna fight every single subscriber bc in the literal 9 years ive watched you every time you put out a new series that Im super into and totally on board with NO ONE ELSE LIKES IT SO I GET ALL mY CONTENT TAKEN AWAY

Honestly, Budget Cuts is my least favorite Heat condition by far. All of the heat modifiers that make the environment stronger are great, but all of the ones that make you weaker I'm a little iffy on. No Choice and Underworld Customs are okay-ish, I guess, but the mirror upgrades seem so incredibly integral to the sense of progression and strength gain throughout the game that it just feelsbadman to cut them so harshly.
especially since the big thing that you lose is all of your boon rarity upgrades, and it just feels shitty to get common boons after you're used to regularly getting rares and epics.
What happened to hades episodes?
I guess we'll have to make a kickstarter for NL... It's The ONLY way he'll get a functional controller.

Honestly NL, I just can't figure why your run are so slow. Even on heat 3,for me, and I'm not an extraordinary player, runs have an average length of 25 to 35 minutes on slower ones. Maybe I play way more aggressively and dash around a lot, I guess? But I never, ever had a run that lasted more than 40 minutes, while you sometimes have one hour long runs
Remember, the game uses in-game time. His video might be long but his clear times are usually around 30 minutes. You can see at the end of this run his clear time was 31:47:94. So, the video length is not necessarily indicative of his in-game time
If you're dashing around a lot you're probably using a lot of dash attacks which are super strong and something that NL doesn't realize exists.
I'm pretty sure the first rooms in Elysium are always Daedalus hammer to the left and Hermes to the right, and the hammer upgrades are almost always better.
The thing about the hammer is the game will try to give you two every run. So if it's hammer or a boon you really want (or even better a double boon room) then taking the boon is pretty safe as you'll most likely just be delaying the hammer by a few rooms.
NL has just become a silly caricature of himself, my goodness it's embarrassing
