I did this injury back in 2012…it’s worse than a acl tear. With a acl tear, you can still put pressure on the leg. A patellar tendon tear is worse because you can’t walk. I truly hope he can recover from this because it’s a horrible injury and being a pitcher, he relies on hard planting on his feet which involves extreme force on the knees.

I’ve come back to watch it again as the Mlb League championship is almost done and I’m forgot how sad this was. And in hindsight the Mets threw so much money on star pitching just to have the best pitching be their rookie. Max and Verlander clearly had no intention of sticking around if the Mets were gonna stink and they just became another contract for the Mets to pay out without getting anything out of it. There was a point where I sympathized for Mets fans but now I think they’re delusional because every preseason they never see the issue in spending absurd money and not stacking up the farm.

at the end of the day, this tournament will attract more fans to MLB. That means baseball would become more globally known and as a owner of a team, you will get more money with TV rights. You will sell more jerseys an your team will get more money to buy more players. MLB is the one who organizes this World Classic. The intention is to make the sport more globally known. In other words, this is more publicity for your team.
