It's safe cuz as you said the runner wasn't touched with the glove. In this case it needs to be tagged out since it was a stolen base and nobody was running to the first base

How you would do that? Well, if there was someone on third base, you could hit the ball to first, and as the third base runner runs to home, you're getting yourself out and giving them time to run and get the point. There is skill involved, which is why it's a pro sport. same as golf. You have time to stand around then, but strategy is involved. Why do you think people are so quiet during these games? The players are thinking, something you obviously can't do.
