Alan, I can't thank you (and Ms. Gabet) enough for organizing this reunion. A joy to watch, and for Edge fans, an event not to be missed. EON was an experience all its own, and those of us who shared in it as viewers will be appreciative to learn that the actors we came to know and love enjoyed it just as much as we did; the 40-year-old friendship between Terry, Frances and Sharon comes through as special, genuine, and inspirational, a testament to the magic of a show that is still felt today among its loyal fans. These three remarkable, talented and beautiful women could sell tickets to their joint Zoom calls. I could listen to them all day long. And ladies: stay true to your word and combine your creative talents in a collaboration that draws upon the humour, the history and the love you three have shared throughout the years. I know there is one hell of a project waiting to be brought to life. PS: Patricia Routledge fans will love the Gab-eh faux pas - "it's pronounced Bouquet, not Bucket". :)
@@SharonRoseGabet Thank you so much for doing this! So many great stories shared, and what a wonderful example of friendship to see between the three of you! :-)
This is an absolutely wonderful interview today between these extremely talented and fabulous ladies. It is great to see them discuss what they have achieved since leaving "The Edge of Night." They made "Edge" so memorable in the late 1970's and early 80's.
I think we are unaware of the intense commitment and grueling work that takes place "behind the scenes." I am so grateful for the phenomenon that forever lives - THE EDGE OF NIGHT - but also overwhelmed by the talent, authenticity, love, and warmth of these three women! I speak for ALL fans when I declare that the three of you are TRUE angels here on earth! We thank you Sharon Rose and your, "for life" sister gal-pals, for choosing to take a risk in a rather difficult profession - it takes a lot from performers and is even more demanding. Henry Slesar once remarked, "Each of them arrived at a unique high point in our story telling - it was rather serendipitous that each portrayed her character, as though it were destined." Thank you for always remembering your fans and for BEING as fabulous as each of you are..."Henry's Angels!" You are LOVED & ADMIRED, ALWAYS & FOREVER!!! P.S. WE MISS YOU HERE IN NYC :-(
What a great interview. Dude here -- and I really enjoyed the Edge of Night when these three were on the show. These are three great ladies and actresses.
Another treasure reunion that I was unaware of until now! I was just a child when I watched The Edge of Night with my grandfather (he justified his secret pleasure under the guise of Edge being a crime drama rather than a soap opera). April (and Draper), Raven and Deborah were my favorite characters!! I was in awe to discover that the actresses who portrayed those characters have remained close friends after 45 years!!! This was such a treat. Alan: Thank you for this gift! ❤
Christopher Goutman once in an interview said the serialized drama lives on, just in a different form. Shows like The Shield, Ozark, and L&O: Organized Crime contain many of the elements EON had, not to mention a documented higher male viewership. Arguably a show way ahead of its time.
Fabulous show today! Loved hearing about their fun times in the 70s and how their special friendship has lasted for 40 years! I watched Edge of Night in my late teens and early/mid 20s. These three are just a few years older than me and I am most impressed about how active they still are in and out of the business.
Is it terrible that i was 7 years old and hooked on thiz show?? It was the era where emily kidnapped draper from april!! ....i literally couldnt wait for the next day!!!
Terri davis was great as stavey on another world and i loved her brief madelyn on samta barbara.also emjoyed sharon gabet as brittiany on another world....sharon gabot and nancy fragione were the 2 best villianesses in daytime!!
The cbc in canada was rather snobby of what they would air but in the seventies they played ryans hope and edge of night right with coranation street ..and of course on ctv we all watched another world ....great memories!!
RIP Joel! Wow I first became aware of Both Terry & Joel on Santa Barbara and Knew Nothing of Their stints on Edge as I was only 11 when I started Soaps seriously...and Edge was not available where I Lived so I never saw it first run anyway I started on a revist of Soaps during Covid Cray these past 3 yrs and have become a major Edge Fan since! Great Show! Writing! And Cast! Love love LOVE THAT You 3 Are Still Close Friends To This Day...warms my heart
This brings back wonderful memories. Watched showvrecenly, plesantly surprised by how well it holds up. It moves at a fast, efficient clip that makes it seem contemporary.
I think this has to be one of my favorites you've done so far. What a lovely example of friendship between these three accomplished women. After watching this, I discovered that Sharon Gabet has a wonderful presence here on RUclips at ruclips.net/user/SharonRoseGabet that is not to be missed. You can rewatch many of her storylines from 1979-1984.
Wonderful seeing these ladies again! Lordy I couldn't get home fast enough for EON back in the day. Thankfully it aired at 4pm in New York. No VCR lol!
In Los Angeles,it came on at 3pm,I got out of Jr high school at 2:45 and rushed home luckily I lived just down the street, would make it home just in time 🙂
The Edge Of Night was a great show. I hate when it was cancelled. I would love to see Marianne Aalda in the zoom reunion. She was my favorite as Didi Bannister-Stoner.
I remember this is on CBS then switch to ABC. Me and my mom never watched it when we went to ABC. I used to watch soaps with mom was a kid. The only person I remember is the redheaded Francis. I don't remember anything about story lines.
Loved April and Draper Scott-Terry and Tony Craig and Sharon was the younger version of "Erica Cane", Terry back then could have been a young Shelley Long, and the late Dixie Carter played Tony Craig 's sister DA Olivia Brandeis "Brandy " Henderson, still can't believe that was more than 40 some years ago, Geeze...
Raven was originally played by Juanin Clay.... Joe Lambie's (Logan Swift) real life wife. I recall Sharon's first scene as Raven, was at the breakfast table in the Whitney mansion. I remember thinking " Oh no!".....but it wasn't long before I realized that Sharon had made " Raven" her own!!
I think it's funny they wouldn't cast someone who's a blue-eyed blond opposite a brunette on Another World. April and Draper were like that, with the genders reversed.
Raven Alexander Jamison Swift Whitney was everything!!
Terry Davis was is and always will be super fine
Epic! Would love to see more ‘Edge’ content.

God I love these women. It is so good to see they have remained such close friends. You must have had a blast with this one Alan!
I certainly did, Everett! Thank you so much for watching.
Wonderful episode Alan! So glad Frances spoke about Kim Hunter. Deborah and Nola were such great adversaries!
Glad you enjoyed, Curtis! Thanks.

Henry's Angels! I love that. Thank you for your kind words. We miss NYC too!
Is there a link to that interview with Henry Sleear?
Thank you for making my Thursday
You are so welcome!
This was awesome.
The show just wasn't ever the same after 1981, when Frances Fisher, Terry Davis, and Tony Craig all left the show within a short period of time.
WOW, what a fun interview and they still look great 🙂 Thank You
I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it. Thank you.
What a great interview. Dude here -- and I really enjoyed the Edge of Night when these three were on the show. These are three great ladies and actresses.
Franco's Fisher was great on Guiding Light. I also loved her in the role of playing Rose's mom in 1997's blockbuster movie Titanic!!
Couldn't agree more!
i saw her in the ROOMMATE & "House of Sand and Fog"
Awesome job getting these three really glamorous ladies for a reunion
Terry Davis i had a serious crush on her and still do
You're so welcome, Sal. Glad you enjoyed it.

Me too..
I had the biggest crush on Terry Davis back in my high school days. Best soap opera. Was very disappointed when it was cancelled at the end of 1984.
I loved The Edge of Night, I still miss it😥
My Girl Raven!
hahahaha XOXO Raven!
Everybody loves my Raven!:)
I really enjoyed these ladies ☺️.
This is wonderful!!😍😍😍😍😍

Thank you Vinnie.
Wonderful to see everyone again. ❤️👍🌹
Glad you enjoyed it, Brenda!
Thank you Sharon!!

This was a great episode..3 of my fav EON stars together and celebrating their friendship. Cool. Btw I would work on a great script for them.

What a pleasure
The Edge Of Night was a great show. I hate when it was cancelled. I would love to see Marianne Aalda in the zoom reunion. She was my favorite as Didi Bannister-Stoner.
Would love to see her and Lela Ivey, among others. I loved Mitzi Martin and Cliff.
I hope this is not the last Edge Of Night reunion. I’d love to see Jayne Bentzen, Ann Flood, Maeve McGuire, among others.
Wasn’t Edge of Night original on CBS
Amazing!!!! Thank you!!!
You're so welcome, Cash! Thanks for tuning-in.
This is nice. I very much enjoy the show.
Glad to hear it, Gianni.
I wish you bring Ann flool Nancy Carr she was my favorite
Ann was and IS a class act. We all adored her.
Loved Ann Flood too. The Carrs were by far the most straight laced couple on TEON!

Brandy wasn't Draper's sister; Draper was infatuated with her at one point. He proposed. Brandy's brother was Quentin. I think he was a psychiatrist.
@@HuntingViolets Thanks for the correction..
terry davis is a beautiful woman
She certainly is, Kimmarie!

Sharon is the reason "Another World"
i got into that show

Sharon Gabet wasn't the first actress to play Raven, but I doubt if anyone would remember the first actress who didn't make much of an impression.
Best part I ever had. I adored her.
I saw the original Raven in other things. She seemed more serious and less comedic. Shame no episodes with the original Raven are available
I liked Raven and Travis as a kid. I think that was his name.
@@emilymalden3310 It was Raven and Skyler Whitney, Travis was the name of the late Larkin Malloy's character on "All My Children"....

Is it true that The Edge of Night was the only Proctor & Gamble soap to ever air on ABC after its tenure on CBS?
Don't know that answer. Have you looked it up online?
I recall Frances, and the actress that played Raven. I'm a 70's kid as well. Raven was a hot mess! After school specials came on after Edge.
It was Denise!
