I was OBSESSED with Jojo when I was little. I did a choreographed dance to Leave (Get Out) with my sister. I remember so clearly the Christmas I got her second album and a portable cd player, riding home from my grandpa's that night listening to it on the car. I got a money order for 99 cents to get a used copy of her first album off ebay because I was a kid and didn't have a credit card or anything. I followed her for so long, and I've been so excited to see her doing well the past few years and finally getting that grammy! I'm not really into the style anymore from what I've heard, but her voice really is insane, and she just seems to be have a good head on her shoulders and my heart breaks for everything she endured.

Jojo was the very first artiste I connected with, may be it's because we are around the same age, she is the very first artiste I can say I was a fan of because my 12 year old self genuinely loved her and not cuz my siblings or parent did (hope this makes sense) ❤❤. I was OBSESSED with Jojo when I was little. I did a choreographed dance to Leave (Get Out) with my sister. I remember so clearly the Christmas I got her second album and a portable cd player, riding home from my grandpa's that night listening to it on the car. I got a money order for 99 cents to get a used copy of her first album off ebay because I was a kid and didn't have a credit card or anything. I followed her for so long, and I've been so excited to see her doing well the past few years and finally getting that grammy! I'm not really into the style anymore from what I've heard, but her voice really is insane, and she just seems to be have a good head on her shoulders and my heart breaks for everything she endured.
JoJo is living proof that as long as you keep performing on stage your career will never end and your true fans will never desert you.

I was in middle school when Jo Jo appeared with leave get out. That song was huge!! I did wonder what happened to her and it really sucks to learn what happened to her. I’m glad she’s still doing what she loves and fought to keep her dream alive. She was likely one of the last artists who relied on a record label to get somewhere and got screwed. Many people underestimate John's intelligence. I was amazed during her early interview (13 at that time) at how well she spoke and answered the questions which are suited for mature artists. Her fight definitely is a bittersweet symphony, almost been, but she's prevailed in the end.

I think she’s an old soul. Watching the old interviews, I can’t believe how well spoken she is for being so young, and her voice!?.So sad to see what the industry has done to her, though she seems to still have her head on her shoulders throughout it all.
