Great video, thank you
I'm wondering if you fill the flask with cold water will the heat absorption workout better?
What engraver would you recommend to engrave wrist watches I stainless steel?
Finally got it connected in lightburn, just tried it on a different PC and all is good.
I would really like to try the Rasberry case you show in your video do you have a link for the file used?
I guess not. :(
can it cut 5mm gasket paper?
I have the best luck engraving glass when I coat it with matte black spray paint. I remove it with mineral spirits. I also use tempera, which cleans up with water, but it's difficult for me to get a good even coat. For flat glass, you can also use a piece of black paper and reverse your image. The engraving will be on the bottom of the glass. You've probably figured this all out by now, though. ;-)
just recently purchased this laser, but seem to have problems getting it to communicate in Lightburn, it works fine in LaserGrbl though.
how did you get it working with Lightburn?
Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I don't believe I did anything different than what the instruction manual said. It just worked after the initial installation.
How long does the diode last? Does the power fade after long term use? Great review!
I don't see a rated lifetime in the manual for this laser, but my understanding is that diode lasers last a long time compared to CO2 lasers. I see claims of 25,000-50,000 hours, but I also see other youtubers testing out cheap diodes and seeing them fail far before that.
@@HoffmanEngineering less than 8000 hours
Paint it with a cold galvanizing paint and will well work with a grey image
Confirm that they can cut through black or whit acrylic sheets 1/4 and 1/8 of an inch?
I can confirm it can cut 1/8 in black acrylic in 2 passes. I would assume 1/4 might take 3 or 4 passes. I haven't used white acrylic, but I would think it would work. Clear doesn't, but I think opaque white would.
what is that round thing you engrave the chicken on?
It was a raw wood blank, with the bark still on, purchased at a craft store l.
If you update the firmware you can connect it to your phone through its own wifi signal
How do I do this??
If you use a chalk marker you can easily engrave glass.
u can engrave clear acrilyc..and the glass too...i show you some of my work if you want..hit me up
Hey pier, you should upload some videos on how to do this
@@qwerto15 I give you some advice if you write to me privately ... but I'm not the type of person who makes videos😅
GEEKCREITxATOMSTACK A5 M50 PRO has wifi
Of course!
It looks like a pretty capable machine for the money, but they get a big thumbs down from me because of their marketing. They market this thing as 40W while it only has 5W output.
Yeah, it seems most-if-not-all the diode companies do that. It's really misleading, because you see "oh this 40w diode must be as powerful as a 40w CO2 laser", but really it's only 5W diode. I'm not sure where that trend started.
