OMG! You all are the best! I was able to do this by myself (just put the top inside, climb in with it and lift it up) in 45 mins. I do recommend using a grill vs an Allen wrench.
Awesome video . Used it while I installed mine . Rear bolts with the turn knobs were a bit short . I got one to work the other one used a longer 12 mm bolt to hold it in place . Hoping that time and the sun will compress the padding and relax the frame bar and let me replace that bolt later one . No big deal , can't see it less your on the running board looking down at it . Top was a little tight getting it to latch at first but a nice warn day and some stretching in the latched position took care of that . Made a little more wind noise at first but again a warm day and stretching took care of that . Rain all weekend and NO LEAKS ! Awesome product !!!! Bought the twill for heavy duty and like that it can be easily removed for the winter and my hard panels put back .
This thing is WAY too expensive considering I can buy a whole Quadratop soft top for only $50 more. I just don't see the value here at $600. It needs to be half its current price at most.
1- Expensive vs softtop but way more convenient. 2- Installed mine solo in 35 minutes but had bolt issues, ran tap through females to fix. 3- Mine has(so far) not leaked. 4- And this is my biggest gripe! I set it back as far as possible and made it super tight but once the new top stretches and shifts it pulls forward too much and clamps into the header seal, has cut it to the metal, still seals but looks ugly AF, I'll patch the tears b4 winter panel instal but....(and I used to work in auto parts manufacture btw) The issue lies in a less than ideal (no) positive anchoring at the rear, if Jeep made a product like this they would build holes into the hardtop rear to mount and control the gap from there to the header/windshield, as is the thing stretches, shrinks etc, through use, age, heat/cold and gets looser, it either chips the seal in the way in or crushes it to the steel, far from ideal. If I did it all over, it's a toss up between the good and bad, maybe one I wouldn't have spent my $$$ on.
So for close to the same price I can get an entire Trektop NX? How does that math work??? Really hope they come down on that price because being in Colorado, it would be perfect for those transitional months between HT/ST seasons.
I just installed mine today and had a question about the real seal. Does is need to be tucked into the groove or just resting on top the hard top? Thanks in advanced!
Very curious if the Sunrider can be used without the hard top. Just as a sun break in some instances or during those pesty summer rains that come from nowhere.
So hows the issue with the water coming into the jeep when opening the doors? I saw that on a few reviews, and I'm not terribly worried about that considering I wear shorts and deck shoes. And I have already bought the sun rider twill. Just gotta install it.
How do this Sunrider do when it rains. I have a new 2016 4 door Jeep Wrangler and love this top idea because I can take the freedom panels out for the summer and use this quickly open and close the top. Where I live we get pop up showers thru out the summer. I was hoping this type of top would be leaking/rain proof. Is it!
I'm trying to install mine. But the front latch seems too short to hook it. The weather has been cool lately, should I just wait for a warm day to install it? Or am I doing something wrong?
Really stupid of Bestop that the bolts toward the rear are 1/2 an inch too short. After many attempts, I finally just held the entire part together with big channel plyers and was finally able to connect the bolt. Unnecessarily difficult. Way too difficult to install to think about putting the freedom panels back on. Better not leak.
That's really nice... hope you guys also do shipping. I travel back and forward to Vancouver Canada to Seoul South Korea. I own two Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited from each countries. I already got one for my Jeep in Canada but wasn't sure if you guys also ship to Korea.
The instructions here list all the part numbers: www.quadratec.com/sites/default/files/installation_instructions/246844.pdf Feel free to give us a call and we can order them for you.
Awesome concept and look, but poor mechanical design. Buyers are complaining about windshield header seal damage, rattling and wind noise at highway speeds, and satellite radio interference. I really want one, but I will wait till they hopefully fix these issues. Too bad.
Ray Marcial that makes absolutely no sense so people who bought a 4 door Jeep with the factory soft-top have these issues? because I didn't the only issue I had was its a pain in the ass to unzip the rear yes the only complaint is noise but there was no damage to header seal or xm satellite interference
It is true 100% the front plastic roof guide has 2 bumps. On the outer part of the clips, you can see them at the beginning of this video actually and those two bumps had broker my seal and the top Before the bumps were. Able to break the rubber seal did not close properly. It also has a strong rattle on the last bar because they did not bolt it but they did put rivets that are loose. So they need to fix that I have no clue why they put those stupid bumps on the front part but it did destroy my seal and those holes made a huge air whistling noise. Huge mistake I wonder if best top will replace the damaged seal for their clients... About the satellite radio k don't have one so I don't know.
All of you crying about the price each freedom panel is worth $400+ do the math. And yes you can get a piece of shot top for 800 bucks go for it. Bestop also makes the trektop nx glide which is pretty much the full version of this for 1600. Which is double the material. And you all are driving over priced off road go carts I'm sure you got the money lol
Video made install sooo much easier. I read the instructions twice but watching the video and pausing between steps, smooth sailing!
OMG! You all are the best! I was able to do this by myself (just put the top inside, climb in with it and lift it up) in 45 mins. I do recommend using a grill vs an Allen wrench.
Great idea. Ridiculous price. Would love to see it in action running down the road.

I just looked today and the best top on was 750 retail. Insane price. I like it but I’d never buy it. Not even with gift cards
I want someone to make the reverse version of this. keep the freedom panels but make the rear half soft.
Would love to buy it. Price seems high . As i look at other comments as well,i see that i am not alone.

Was really excited about this product until I saw the price.... Wow, think I'll just keep my freedom panels
yes this crazy price I wanted until seen that price
So was I. But I got it and I’m going to see if I use it more often . It’s still a bitch to get clipped back in
I just installed mine today and had a question about the real seal. Does is need to be tucked into the groove or just resting on top the hard top? Thanks in advanced!
It just rests on top.
I've followed the instructions and as I try to close the top the latches wont reach the visor clamp/latch Any tips to adjust?
Can you leave the sun rider top on and take off the rest of the hard top?
Very curious if the Sunrider can be used without the hard top. Just as a sun break in some instances or during those pesty summer rains that come from nowhere.
I was wondering the same thing.
Kinda over priced. But I really like it. Hope price goes down.
Can you purchase just the hardware? Guy online is selling his but says he sold the hardware with this jeep.
So hows the issue with the water coming into the jeep when opening the doors?

It works great in the rain, we have a few employees that are testing them and have had no leaks.
I'm trying to install mine. But the front latch seems too short to hook it. The weather has been cool lately, should I just wait for a warm day to install it? Or am I doing something wrong?
They are very tight right out of the box. A nice warm day will help for sure.
Preordered mine
Any idea why my weld nuts won't tighten all the way?
Need to know if it stays on when you remove the hard top.
They do not. The rear attachment point is on the hard top
I have Quadratec grab handles insalled on my JK 2 door. Will this product work with them installed? Looks like it should?
Yes, they will still work.

Glenn Lammey thanks, I thought I was doing something wrong. What a pain in the ass.

We do ship to Korea!
Based on your experience, how do these hold up to leaks etc?
CammieGee Had it for almost a year and well. Vancouver is very famous for rainny weather but never leak water just yet. We will see how it goes.
Thanks Luke
fantastic idea i love it
Can you get me the part numbers for the door rails and hardware i lost mine!?

Carlos Hinostroza the're all wrong with those unsubstantiated complaints ... Satellite receiver interference really? ... really?

About the satellite radio k don't have one so I don't know.
Is there a big difference in wind noise between the black diamond and twill?
I wouldn't call it a big difference, but there is a noticeable difference.
NaTara R none at all
So it just flaps in the wind while open?
Scott Barnes same concept as any 2 door or 4 door jeep that you have a soft top
No. It stays back. I have no issues with it
Does it work well when open at highway speeds?
+Michael McNamara not sure what you mean by this question. But it is engineered for highway speeds.
With fabric blowing in the wind, it was a concern. Thanks for responding and the reassurance.

What's the price of it?
+jery sireni They start at 599.99
Installation is not actually easy.
700 bucks! no
Definitely not that easy to install! Mine has leaked since day one
