Thanks for sharing! I love the part “What's your weakness” that we need to tell the truth but also tell how we want to improve. This viewpoint is very helpful that I never heard about. I also heard from other people recommending not saying very critical weakness. So maybe one more question about this topic: what type of weakness we'd better to avoid saying so that it won't lead to a negative comment on us? For example, time estimation, version control of the design files, decide design directions... are these safe to use?
Thanks for the feedback Ivy! I would try to avoid using basic/critical UX qualifications as a weakness, i.e. creating wireframes, collaborating with other teams, etc. other than that, think anything followed up with your plan of how to improve it can make a good story.
super valuable. thanks so much! you mentioned the end goal is not to move forward, but to understand each other. Does that mean I shouldn't ask "What are the next steps?"
I still think interviews are a terrible way of assessing peoples capabilities. Personally im a deep thinker and I need time to articulate my thoughts that’s why I prefer writing and informal conversations.
I agree the interview model today is far from perfect. but at the same time, changing how interviews work might be a longer process than changing how you present or articulate yourself. also, experienced interviewers won't evaluate designers purely based on verbal skills, as critical thinking and many other aspects are super important.
Thank you Yobi, this was such a helpful video - I especially loved the part where u mentioned embracing the process rather than focusing on the job itself, great advice :)

Thanks for the feedback! I think you should always ask "What are the next steps?" so you can have a good idea of what to expect.

Brilliant 👍 thank you
You’re welcome 😊
How do you go about behavioral interviews as a new grad with little to no experience?
Practice common behavioral questions, and gain more experience in any way you can.
Thank you.
