What a lovely bloke. Dedicated to the game and trying to emulate the best strikers, watching and learning. I don't get the impression there's anyone with that attitude like him at United today. There's something fundamentally wrong with young professionals today. His attitude, determination to succeed and humility. Loved that for him. That, and the hattrick against Bulgaria right after the WC, showed Capello was silly to not give him more time on the pitch. At Spurs: One of the most craziest things about his career is how JD (bravely, and to his own detriment cos he was getting playing more with Ade in the reserves) spoke up for Adebayo when AVB was isolating Ade from the team for wearing a hat. Think strikers back in the day are completely different than today. The game has totally changed. Gone is the threat of 2 forwards from a 4-4-2 formation.
@@CheekySport will definitely check it out! Keep up the good work! A great perspective would be players that should have had better careers but for injury like Ledley King, Wilshere or Woodgate? An interesting one also would be players that know they didn't reach their levels. They had great careers but know they could have gone on to superior levels. Anderson, Van de Vaart, Gio dos santos, Taarabt spring to mind?
By far the most underrated English player of his generation. If he had gone to Manchester United at the early part of his career he would of broke all goal scoring records at United. Also what a generally nice person he seems. I have yet to listen to a full episode of one of the these but this one kept me hooked from start to finish. Top man JD & enjoy your retirement.

All the best to the man JD-trouble.
To have an absolute legend like Jermain Defoe to come and play at Ibrox was unreal, yes it was at the back end of his career but the guy scored goals with an ease like IV never seen, just looked so easy for him to get a goal from nothing, and to see him in that blue strip was an honour, #55 , 🙏🏻🇬🇧🇬🇧
I loved Defoe , I was watching the Arsena palace match and as a Defoe Diehard,he would make the Arsenal team better. A 25yr old Defoe
Imagine prime Defoe in City or Liverpool's team smh.
Dude was one of my childhood Striker idols and to hear how sound he is makes him more likeable.
Glad to hear the sound is back on...LET'S GO!!!
It's amazing how the best at anything all have a similar approach to success. This is the kind of information I wish I had growing up
Man he was a bagsman. As a Spurs I loved Defoe but I would love to see him win things.
Taking a moment for the quality raps this guy does week in week out. Nice touch to the show
great show .. always remember being impressed by Defoe - no idea of the figures %age-wise but he seemed to just always hit the target, so impressive
Think strikers back in the day are completely different than today. The game has totally changed. Gone is the threat of 2 forwards from a 4-4-2 formation.
Great work! You boys need to get Berba on. Best touch in prem history 👊🏽
We had Berba on during the Euros!!! Type it in bro...amazing show
@@CheekySport will definitely check it out!
This was just too good man. Defoe don’t get the respect he deserves, big time baller! Prem legend.
WE NEED VIDIC ON NEXT BRUV!!
His knowledge of football is so technical! Feel like you could learn so much
Favorite video in a while. Loved Defoe here.
So glad he played for us at rangers and finally got a title medal brilliant down to earth guy hope he does well in coaching
Growing up I wasnt the biggest guy on the pitch and I played upfront. watching guys like Defoe really helped my game. Today I'm 3rd choice striker for my local sunday league team. Im grateful
😂 Big ups to you man
One of my favorite players of all time. Class act on and off the pitch. Would love to see him back at spurs working with the younger strikers
Superb interview that was🙌🏽✔️
Jermain will have a great career after football 👍🏻 great interview guys, thanks.
