Being admired by opposition managers after they thrash you in your own stadium is not a real compliment. The real compliment comes when they start complaining about you and taking you seriously. Slot is just patting Spurs on the head after sending them on an errand.😢

The problem is that Ange is a footballing ideologue, a bit like Bielsa and Pep to an extent. Unless you have huge resources or you are at a massive club, it's very difficult to win things with the attitude of 'if they score 3 we'll score 4'. You need to get the balance right and be more pragmatic, unless you are blessed throughout with world class players like Man City of last 5yrs, or 2000s/2010s Barcelona.

The feeling of pain when losing is stronger than the feeling of the joy when winning. Sadly, as much as I love watching Spurs playing and scoring goals, it's scary to see our defense with one or two defenders ripped apart against 3 or four attackers. That's why we conceded 6 goals this time. The odd's must surely show that we will lose more than win playing this way. This league is big time and even the so called weaker teams can hold there own with us like Ipswich and Palace whilst we play this way.

Ange Postecoglou will likely reach the end of the season with Tottenham, probably finishing mid-table and without silverware. He will depart amicably. The next coach will benefit from the improved squad, with Bergvall and Archie Gray. Cristian Romero will leave, and there will be new signings, especially a better No. 6 and a stronger defence as an improvement. However, Ange, being an ideologue will struggle to develop the team, as he could fall on his ideological sword. It feels like he’s trying to steady a turbulent situation at the club, where the focus has been more on profit than football success.

Tottenham Hotspur's prolonged trophy drought can be significantly attributed to the negativity surrounding its fanbase. Many supporters are quick to criticize players, management, and Daniel Levy, creating a toxic environment that hinders performance and deters potential signings. This impatience leads to frequent managerial changes, often dismissing great managers like José Mourinho, Antonio Conte, and now Ange Postecoglou after only 18 months or so, preventing the establishment of a consistent philosophy necessary for success.
When results decline, protests against Levy emerge, demoralizing the squad and fostering division. While fans may rally behind the team during winning streaks, the atmosphere shifts to hostility during tough times, creating insecurity among players. Additionally, the negative media environment, fueled by vloggers and social media, amplifies grievances and perpetuates a cycle of despair.
After the successes of renowned managers, it’s clear that the issue lies not with them but with the fans and the negativity surrounding the club. Until the fanbase can cultivate a more supportive and constructive atmosphere, Tottenham will struggle to attract top talent and build a sustainable path to success. Unity and positivity are essential for breaking free from this cycle of disappointment.

Lots of talks, but.. Spurs have two main center-backs sidelined. Davis, who can play centre, is also injured. Their solid midfielder is suspended by the woke league. Out of three experienced strikers, one is injured. Liverpool has six strikers that can be starters in any other teams, so it can afford playing three, resting the rest. The result shouldn’t surprise anyone.
Why are there so many repeated injuries? Lack of training, the stile of playing? Or just bad luck.
