Are you in a career that you love and feel is in line with your purpose?
OR, are you still trying to "figure it out"?
This is a major frustration that a lot of my clients seem to wrestle with... figuring out what career you're truly meant to do that makes you come alive AND pays the bills.
But before you get fully clear on that, there are aspects of yourself that you need to know first.
There are three specific steps that I've successfully taken to gain deeper clarity on the work I'm meant to do, and I wanted to share them with you. It starts with knowing your true gifts.

It's so important to take the time to get to know yourself before diving into a career - great tips!
Great video. Just in case, leaving mine as an example if anyone is interested.
1. 5 activities that I like
-Cooking
-Painting, drawing
-Learning new things, doing online courses,
-Learning languages
-Writing
2. Why do you enjoy doing them?
Cooking - I enjoy delicious food and I need to learn it myself to make them. I'm a foodie :)
Painting - I love the end results. It gives many hours of concentration and calmness which feels like meditation at some point. I love seeing beautiful colors and being creative with them.
Learning new things - It gives me the feeling that I am growing and learning new skills.
Learning languages - It helps me to get to know other cultures, movies, and music. I try to deeply understand them by learning the language. I also love talking with international people. Even though we are from different backgrounds, I always feel like we have so much in common with them.
Writing - To be a good writer, I need to be a good reader, too. It organizes my mind and my thoughts. It feels nostalgic when I read my diaries and other writings because all the feelings of that particular moments are left there which is amazing. I learn a lot from my writings and I remember how I felt at that time.
3. What natural talents do you have to do these activities?
Cooking - I am good at organizing, cleaning, and cooking. I am just good at it and I don't like being disorganized or messy. I even cook without staining the kitchen.
Painting - I am artistic, creative, and good with colors.
Learning new things - I am naturally curious and I try to learn as much as I can. I try to do different kinds of things because I am curious.
Learning languages - I have a good memory and I am quick learner. And then I like using them to meet new people and talk to them.
Writing - I concentrate very well and am good with words. I learn and read many interesting topics and try to articulate them into writings.
• List 5 activities that you enjoy doing: (Meeting new people, traveling, walking on the beach (knowing unfamiliar places), doing sports or exercise, organizing stuff, cooking)
• Explain why you enjoy doing each activity:
o Meeting new people: bc I’m curious, there is always something new to learn, a new story to heard
o Traveling: I feel how big is the World, how many places are available to explore, how “home” for everyone is so different from mine
o Walking on the beach: I just love the breeze, summer feeling, freedom of walking, freedom of speak when I walk, how my mind thinks so fast in so many topics when I’m walking.
o Doing exercise, yoga: how limit it is my body, what is my potential to have a better body and understand my body, limitations of aging, improve mobility, flexibility, circulation, reducing stress, improve focus in the moment
o Organizing stuff: I’m an organizer freak. I can’t see things disorganized, I like on my way. I’m creative when I’m organizing. Knowing what is necessary, what is trash, cleaning the dust, organizing in a way that people will look and like it.
o Cooking: Mix of flavors, textures, how mixing can get to a special great flavor that I wasn’t expecting, surprise me, bringing me good memories, serving people make me happy.
• What natural talents enable me to do each activity well?
o Meeting new people: I’m a good listening, articulate. I ask question. I make the person comfortable, relax and I make them speak about themselves. Able to connect people together, able to relate to others.
o Travelling: improve my artistic way of thinking, open my mind.
o Walking on the beach: resourceful
o Doing exercise: Dynamical thinker
o Organizing stuff: Organized
o Cooking: Work well with my hands, creative
I have been working for Oil&Gas companies in the last few years as Business Development/ Inside Sales/ Logistics... I wonder if my activities are matching with my career. Since I got laid off, I have been thinking a lot about what you said. How to reinvent myself. If I should try something new. I went to a Yoga Teacher training as well. Sometimes I feel that my activities are too common and there are a lot of people out there with the same explanation as me. and all those talents, how can I apply to any kind of job?
Great video! For anyone trying to figure out what your natural gifts and abilities are, you can also ask others. Just ask friends, family and even coworkers what they think your strengths are and what things they would come to you for if they needed help, guidance or information.
You should totally do more videos about this topic going into more detail, maybe even include a career test? That would be nice!
It's also very important to know your learning style.

It seems too vague to go with these keywords to find your ideal job and i really don't see myself going for a creative job. I used to work at a electronic store and it was horrible. So in general i don't wanna go back in retail but i don't see any other choice... that's where i got my certificate via my apprenticeship
for 3 years. And i recently tried with higher education in accounting but i canceled after 2 months since i saw that i simply couldn't keep up with it and didn't wanna waste my cash any further.. and also i didn't want to ask my parents to pay for the higher education. After that setback it got me bad because this higher education was my plan to get back up.
So now i'm unemployed for 6 months and i don't know for which job i should apply.
Thanks for tich
sweet
