I personally like your older format better. Also I noticed that you have used a bit more stock videos from movies this time. Personally I like your older style :)
Sometimes we love the work we do, but the way our companies or teams execute the tasks is the only negative thing. That's something we need to address as well.
Yes very true I also love my work but the kind of environment I get in my office is worst... I feel like dumping the job.... Then just recalling the salary and my work I keep on working... But sometimes it's really toxic 😢
I loved how the strenght and weaknesses were presented here. Really made me change the way I see things. Someone like this comment so I can come back from time to time and rewatch this.
What I found as a challenge is that you might end up liking a career that is not in high demand job wise, and then you can get stuck again due to a lack of opportunities in that particular field.
I’m a massage therapist and human resource manager part time and I love it. I figured out I’d be good at it by taking the Myers Briggs personality test.
Just keep trying things, specially when ur young, there is no shame in not knowing what u want in life, specially when ur young. Keep trying things, keep taking risk and keep evolving. At some point you will find what you want.
The last point you made really helped. I always had doubts that I am not good enough to do something or I'm not smart enouh, which always holds me back from actually achieving anything.
I heard this definition of a Dream Job years ago, and it’s stuck: 1. love the company you work for (its values, mission, etc.), 2. love the people you work with, and 3. love the day-to-day tasks you’re doing. Easy, right?? 😂 I like the voiceover format. Well done and thank you, Ali!
I wish I heard this when I was in school. Just love the entire video. I am telling myself now that it isn't too late for me now. Thanks once again Ali for another amazing video.
I feel depressed and stuck at my current career. The work environment and dynamic has changed over the years. In the past because of the good rapport I had with my coworkers, I enjoyed coming to work everyday no matter how stressful it was but it’s so different now. We’ve had turnovers in the last few years plus a shift in our job responsibilities, also feeling unchallenged and unmotivated in my day to day tasks. I hope I’ll find a career or job I can enjoy and not feeling like I’ve worked a day in my life.
I was very fortunate to know what I wanted to do in life at around 16 when I stumbled across the word "Computer Programming". I did not go to college but instead graduated from a 2 year "Technical Institute" with a degree in Computer Programming in 1974 ... 43 years later I retired never having worked a day in my life ... I could not believe companies were willing to pay me BIG money just to play all day long programming computers ... LOL
Ali has done it again! 😊. This video has opened my eyes to so many ways I can self reflect and find out more about me. One of my weaknesses is that I am good at helping people resolve their problems, but it drains me so bad because its so much talking. But one of my strengths, is that I enjoy listening and talking to people about things especially if its dealing with something positive, inspiring, and motivating. But Im really not a big talker.
I am on my final year of nursing scholl and the fact that I don't see myself working as a nurse for the next years makes me really sad .I hope I can find a way to change my carreer without disappointing my parents
Redefining the concepts of strengths and weaknesses in this way sounds like a great idea... although in my case I feel like it leaves me pretty much where I started. I can think of a lot of weaknesses (things that drain me), but I'm still deeply uncertain what my strengths are (what energizes me), how to find them, or how to realistically leverage them. Lifelong depression does that, I guess, but maybe this idea can at least give me another angle of self-inquiry...
Hey! Unfortunately depression and me are also acquainted. Maybe you find Simon Sinek's advice helpful! He recommends sitting down with a dear friend of yours and ask that friend: why are we friends? Skip the general part of trust and being there for them - that's a definition of a friend but not you. Go deeper, what feeling does your friend get when they hang out with you. What about you makes it so they love you. Sometimes we need an outside perspective on stuff
@@mythicalnow Also very good advice... if you happen to have friends... Social interaction and maintaining casual relationships is one of my biggest weaknesses, in both conceptual definitions. 🤷♀

Oh my God Probably the best of his video. I can take so much from it. Thanks Ali❤
Although I appreciate the content of the video, and think it is genuinely useful, half-way through I did think to myself "is the voiceover done by AI?" which then made me overthink if that means other parts of the video (such as the content) could be AI generated as well, thus making me question the quality and authenticity of it all. You do have a soothing voice Ali, but I don't think your videos should become audiobooks with background footage XD
