Turbo oil and coolant lines(you will find a way to connect oil feed and coolant) 3. 2Lte turbo downpipe then a new exhaust pipe or adjust the one you have to connect to turbo downpipe. 4. Air inlet piping 5. Intercooler piping; I am in this step… haven’t figure out how to to this adaption to the truck. I think that’s it.. don’t need to adjust fuel pump. Some people say they did or have too.. not in my case. Engine had enough fuel for turbo that’s the reason I decided to install turbo.

That's the crankcase ventilator pipe coming out the rocker cover. Open the inside cover and clean it. The oil would stop coming out there. Also a baffling that might be bent in there.
connect your pcv before the turbo, so that the turbo can suck the oil vapor. adjust the full load adjustment screw of the injection pump if your having black smoke at the exhaust..
Hi, I have adapted that line to turbo inlet.. it works much better now. The black smoke was before installing the turbo.. now with the turbo installed i dont get anymore black smoke. Thanks for the tips much appreciated.
Hello Noel, I have the same problem, but I am thinking of solving it another method, I would connect the Breater before the Turbo this way it will not have pressure , I have seen this in the 2LT manuals where I noticed that the Breather is connected Before the Turbo , thus there is no boost in it , Thansk Very much for the Video I did not know this problem , I had the oil comming out and thought it was a turbo problem. Will make the changes today and see what the outcome would be
What happened after the change? I am thinking about opening another breather on valve cover.. still Too much vacuum pressure with one breather.. even tho I connected before the turbo on inlet.
Hey! Great video! I have a strange question, on my 1994 LN107 2.8D Hilux, I dont have a check engine light (No check engine light illuminates when I turn the key to ingnition). I have had the dash out and put bulbs in all the slots, but still nothing. I think in the video I can see that you do not have a check engine light before start up either, is this normal? Do our models just not have a tradition check engine light? Thank you very much!!
These are some worrier trucks; we don’t need check engine lights 😅. These trucks are more mechanical than electric that’s why we don’t have a check engine light. No sensors to check before starting it.

For years i wanted one too, feels good to drive a good pick up downtown 😆. I have seen 2 hiluxs in dallas area. I heard in houston there are more, who knows. These pick ups are very rare, more than those old landcruisers. and best of all, they dont sell as high as the landcruisers.

i have just bought a full surf turbo just looking where the water lines are running and oil pickup the 2.4 are different to the 2.8 so i need to get oil and water the the turbo
Nice, Get the oil from alternator oil feed and the return to that alternator return line as well if its a 2.8L. those 2.8L or 3L come with alternators that need oil. You will need T fitting. For the water line.. run lines all the way to thermosthat area.. there are a few lines you can cut and T connect those lines to turbo.

Hello, Nothing better than a hilux. I didnt touch the fuel pump.. has plenty of fuel for turbo on factory setting.. those 3ls all they need is a few lbs of pressure to perform better. Its been a year now with turbo. No issues. when you turbo yours dont over boost.. i heard alot of stories about over boosting these 3ls.. and the stories arent great 😆.
It wasnt a kit, Bought used parts: Turbo, manifold, oil and coolant lines. It was hard to find the manifold , you can find all the parts on ebay if you are in the States.

Originally this Hilux comes from Japan. there is paperwork involved importing a vehicle to the states.. i have a friend from honduras doing this kind of business: importing vehicles. Al final partes usadas compre, me la cale con una persona de arizona que en Ebay estaba vendiendo el exhaust manifold y pues ahi me di cuenta que vendia otras partes incluyendo el turbo oem. Al final solo gaste como $600.00 y mi tiempo invertido.. pero se dibierte uno haciendo mecanica. Busca partes usadas en el internet.
Nice LN107 ....clean outside and inside....here its not easy to find anymore...here is much LN106 compare to 107....with 3L engine,nothing to say,undestructable.......
What’s the difference between the ln and 106? It’s getting harder to find them indeed. When I travel to Central America these trucks are not so common as they used to be. These trucks are turning into gold 😬.
@@cortransport LN106 here use solid axle at the front,while LN107 use lower arm + drive shaft at the front....or IFS system...so which suspension system your LN107 used at the front,other than that,i think they share the same cabin and chasis....

Hi, Its running around 7 psi, havent profesionally tune it.. cant find toyota diesel experts in texas. So i left it at a low psi.. just in case. Heard alot about blown 3ls but those people had high psi’s, they used all the psi a ct20 tuebo gives which id about 16 psis.. thats too much. These engines only need a little bit of boost... only enough.
I've got a highflow td04 running 16-17 pound, doesn't see over 470 in the dump. Along as your egts are low youll be fine. I've seen compound turbo on these luxys pushing 60 psi and they love it.
@@cortransport take the line off the wastegate so it doesn't open, give the fuel screw on the pump 3/4 turn in. Ct20s get thrown in the bin here in Australia. Td04s or Cummins holsets are usually the go. 90% of us in the hilux community run no less than 15psi. I've upped mine too 22psi now and goes really well.

gary cooper its hard to find metric fettings, a 20m to 10 adapter will be hard to find. Why you need to reduce that size for?

Great 👍🏻 haven’t had any issues. I heard stories of engine failures after adding turbos; I guess it isn’t true for all Toyota engines 😅.

It’s just an unbranded 3” filter. It was only mean while I installed the inlet to the stock filter box.
