    for a 3L thats amazing guys. Is that a boost compensated pump? Im looking at Turbo'ing my 3L luxy and not sure about keeping the standard pump. Whats the pump you're using?

      If your going in for that humble power to get up the hill the stock pump should be fine

      you can order a brand new Boost comp out of dubai, its a relatively easy upgrade as it drops straight on top in place of the flat top. upgraded all my pumps for turbo this way. i can swing you a link if your keen.

      You can pass the link to the new version of Boost in Dubai; It is an upgrade as it falls directly on top instead of the flat top. To Update the turbo pump in this way for Toyota Hilux 3L 2.8 engine model

    Pretty mint hilux.
    How much torque did it make?
    I'm betting it made a significant increase.

      Generally not for DI stuff, any richer that 20 and you will see egt's skyrocket. Common rail stuff is a bit different. A lot of common rail setups you can run down into the teens. All dependent on the setup though. The fact we have the gate essentially shut means we are out of turbine. To play too rich in this scenario is asking for trouble. EGT's are already pretty wild.

      Boost compensator still delivering fairly rich AFR's whilst boost is building? Is there boost reference adjustment available? I would have thought a boost comp pump should be able to deliver more consistent AFR's than that.

    • @BoostGumps
      @BoostGumps  Год назад +2

      @@caelumbrandwood8554 yeh we need to change the spring tension on the diaphragm or the pin profile. With such a savage pin its hard to get more consistent with a relatively small turbo. This pump is built for a bigger turbo that doesnt come on so savage. Need the fuel in there to spool it but need it not to ride the pin so far down once on.
      We are out of turbo but not even close to the potential of the pump.

      Yeah, for sure! 12mm is more suited to a he221. I have the he200 on a stock 10mm pump and get similar AFR profile. Good to know, I was tossing up between a 10mm or 12mm boost comp pump, think I'll be getting the 10mm based off this.
