How is Cryogenic Engineering at IITKGP as a interdisciplinary branch.
I did my btech from Instrumentation Engineering and received an offer from that department.
Sir I have a question..
For example in IIT Bombay there are 50 seats for any interdisciplinary Mtech course for which gate pi, ME, XE, EC are eligible. " So the Seat allotment is only purely based on GATE score or seats are reserved branch wise for this particular interdisciplinary course like 10 for pi , 5for me etc. Or they give any branch priority having same gate score"????
What is the procedure.. for seat allotment in interdisciplinary course.

No. As I know in state govt engineering colleges for assistant prof job core se M.Tech karna compulsory hai. Jaise ki EE keliya B.Tech and M.Tech in Electrical Engineering hona chaiye

Thoda less technical hai, more ecology and evironmental science and more economics of it. People prefer Energy technology over this
Sir, academic career mey gap rehta h to problem aaa skti h kya.for example i have gaps before admission in B.tech and m.tech as well due to preparation for JEE and GATE.

Have 2 year work experience in product based company after btech with CTC 7 lpa. Took one year break to prepare for ESE but no longer interested in doing so. Have got MTech in Data and Computational Science at IIT Jodhpur this year. As per you what will be the better option, go back to job or do MTech? Will doing MTech worth it?
Stay in your Job as long you dont get an old IIT
sir iss saal kon kon si branch eligible hai IITD energy studies department ke liye ..I am little confused waise mai ECE branch se hu...Maine website pe check kia prr wha kahi bhi ECE branch mention nhi thi eligible branch mai??
Usually they prefer, Mech, Electrical, Solar PV ki wajah se ECE is an important branch. but if they are not allowing students from ECE, that means their focus is ME and EE guys this year

Sir I am doing Mtech from NIT Jalandhar in textile Engg. This year I am getting an option to select an interdisciplinary branch named polymer science at IITRoorkee. Does this option is better in terms of Placement than my core branch (textile)?

Sir, kya interdisciplinary branch m apply krne ke liy....hme uss particular branch ke liy interview k alg sa preparation krna pdta h kya...jaise m CSE se Btech kr rha hu and after good rank in GATE I want to go for aerospace branch in any of the IITs then do I have to prepare for only for CSE topics which I have covered for GATE and Btech project or do I also have to know about Aerospace branch? Plz reply.....
You dont need to know a lot Sourav, but of course you need to know basic stuff like Drag force lift force, Magnus effect and other basic stuff

Seek any old IIT, interdisciplinary branch, iit kanpur biosciences, iit kgp medical imaging could be good fit, try to do biotech/biomedical courses, if you get into a different branch

Admission lelo, And write GATE again, But whatever you are getting isnt bad! Focus on your M-Tech and it will reap good fruits!
