Step By Step iPhone Sandwich Reball Tutorial. The Best Technique For Reballing The 2 Layers.

- This is the best way to reball an iPhone 14 Pro Max. We have to join these 2 layers back together after we split them, since most repairs require splitting the sandwich. This helps with fixing No Power, No Service, No WiFi, No Bluetooth, Unable To Activate, Always Searching, etc.
So in this video, I walk through my technique for reballing the 2 layers, which includes the paste & peel technique.

To dry or to wet solder paste 😂
Some line join together and sometimes some part are missing, gray out
often the paste stucks in the stencil and not at the board when i lift it up, why?
Oxidised pads 😩
I have been using the Mijing Z20pro sires for years and years now, It's the goat for reball at the moment. When it comes to paste, I usually use something like Chipquick and I use both the low melt and 183 from them, It works great, and I can get a safe and reliable data sheet with all the chemicals and hazards. Biggest issues I have when reballing is when the bottom board is bent super bad. It just doesn't want to sit in the reball jig flat.

Great tip to reflow the solder balls in the middle layer before putting the sandwich back together

Also curious what’s the best technique for oxidised pads? How to avoid them? And how to fix them based on the state of the pad.. rebal and clean? Clean with a fiber pen (messy fibers all over) or steel brush? scratch with a knife?
I directly reflow it on the I2C without the soldering station
I find it's safer to use hot air to flow the paste
Because removing the board and putting it on the heater will risk touching the paste and messing up the reball

you heart must have sunk when you seen that OLED Damage, The worst bit about repairing these days is possibly damaging the screen.
Haha yep. Luckily, I checked the ticket and saw my tech noticed the damage when it came in. So wasn't on us
I remember few yeas back when iphone 10 come out gives me headache to do it . for me AMAOE stencils are very good for me from iphone 10 to 15 serie .but why are you remove thermal past what will cool down CPU and lower board stuff ?
Because it makes a mess & the phone works fine without it.

which solder paste is good for layer reballing 138c or 158c
