iPad 6 4G with Activation Lock. Here’s How To Remove iCloud via Microsoldering

- In this video, I have an iPad 6th Gen that is the Cellular 4G Model (A1954) that is activation lock. I bought this for parts off eBay & wanted to walk you through the full step by step process to removing the iCloud account off this device, so it can be fully used via WiFi only.

The technique varies slightly by model, but in this video, I show you the specifics for the iPad 6.
iPads are tied to an iCloud account via the SN on wifi models. On cellular models, it is tied to the SN and IMEI.
So one of the steps for removing iCloud, is to remove a specific resistor on the motherboard, so it then converts the iPad to WiFi only version & removes the IMEI from the operating system.
We then need to replace the WiFi chip to be the appropriate model for an iPad 6 WiFi model, which is 339S00446. This step requires highly skilled microsoldering skills. Not for beginners!
Then we have to write a new SN, WiFi, BT address to the device using a Purple Mode programmer.
After that, the iPad will be unlocked & fully useable.

May I ask, 400c with 60 air to remove such thick xhips or nand for example, doesnt it increase the risk of desoldering all surrounding tiny components to fly out?
I use the Atten and that's what happens. Do you put a thiner aftermarket narrow nozzle
No components will fly if you have enough practice & control of your heat gun

My company bought an ipad from an overseas dropshipper that we reliably used for many years. We had one ipad that came out of the box but wouldn't activate. I had a line to higher support but they said that ipad wasn't the same as the number they had on file. It was wifi only, had serial on case, in software and on receipt from seller. I suspected it was lifted to on sell before it was even sold. 1 out of 600 or so ain't so bad.

What happens when one our old IPads dies and the WiFi chip is compatible with the newer iPad we are trying to repair. If the sn is already registered to my account is there a chance that it will work without purchasing a new WiFi chip and serial number?
Not sure if you can reuse an SN from your own iPad. I tried that once & it didn't work.
But never tried after that. So maybe it's possible
Jesse, do know why you need to replace WIFI IC, you can use purple mode to change SN, MAC, BMAc and unbind wifi

i thought The serial swap method just does not work anymore, as it is patched. I have tried many devices after back then with paid serials and the same thing "unable to activate error" always.. thanks for this will try again and hope for success.
Only Mini 4 and iPad 5 have been patched. iPad 7 and older are still unlockable. Just have to make sure you get the proper SN and follow the proper procedure for that model

Nice work, but it's questionable spending all that time and effort on older devices. The cost of the labor and parts are probably worth more than the same device bought used unlocked. But hey, to each their own.

ok. so this method allows you to update as well? a 3utools bypass works but you would have to do it again after an update ,also u would have to be careful to check there is jailbreak avail to avoid being stuck . software method requires u to be months behind on ios

Bro, after removing the resistor, you had to "unbind wifi" from purple mode. Also, there was no need to remove the resistor, you could disable the baseband with "broken baseband". You tried in vain
