Love ur videos really slow and detailed. Can u please give of the mat ur are using under the baord as I have the blue silicon mat which some time burn. Thanks
It is easy to do microsoldering. The impossibile thing to do is reballing. I have been training on it for 3 weeks but soldering balls always solder to the stencil. I do exactly what you do.
I would assume you're not doing the same thing, if you're not getting the same results. It's going to be your technique, tools or paste. You can post a video of what you're doing in my fb group: www.vccboardrepairs.com/vcc-fb-group
Subscribed. thanks for info video. Can you please make one video on Multimeter reading as well. which reading is short and what reading is good. in Doide mode or OHM mode. thanks thanks once again
At min 6:00 i think you use too much flux. You can trigger infinite earphones plugged in because of audio codec. You need to ultrasonic clean that board! Nice work also!
I've done hundreds of these repairs & literally never had that issue. Maybe if you have bad quality flux, that can happen. But I also advocate people to clean off any excess flux off the board with isopropyl alcohol and toothbrush. I've never had to use an ultrasonic cleaner on a board for just basic soldering like this.
Great video bro and huge thanks for letting us know exactly what tools to use much appreciated and extremely valuable info for all amateurs wanting to increase there skill sets 👍🏻🙏
Help Jesse. I got iPhone 7+, baseband issue (no IMEI No Service) I did everything like you do (took off and reball BB) - Nothing changed. I didi it twice, this time i found weak pad, so run a jumperwire (double check in diod mode and i did it properly), reball and the same. Still NO SERVICE. Please tell me what to do next?
If it happened after an Audio IC repair, then yes, you would need to reball BBCPU if it happened on its own, then unlikely the solution is to reball BBCPU. In those cases, it's usually BBPMU or XCVR 0 and 1. If it's QCOM model, then it also needs ground pad jumpers. I'd suggest you post in my group for help: www.vccboardrepairs.com/vcc-fb-group

Please.mention about the distance between the board and nozzle tip.
For ic pulling and ic refitting
You want to be around 6in when you first start
Then move in closer and closer slowly
@@VCCBoardRepairs 6 inch you sure?.
Feel like big distance
Yes, to start and you move closer and closer
You don't stay at 6in the whole time
You first need to warm up the board by being far away
@@VCCBoardRepairs lit up the idea 💙

You are using Amtech 599-ASM flux? Always sticky an hard to remove.
Yes, I haven't had any issues with it. The key is to clean often.
You have motivated me to stop using solder wick. It will save me time and wick 🙂. Would love to see cpu swap vids and tips

Great video, love it! You also use 330/65 for CPU reballing?
I haven't mastered CPU reballing yet, so I wouldn't know what's the proper temps

Loving your videos. Question: When or in what cases do you use solder wicks.
Plus can you do a video going over your setup?
I use wick when I have too much solder on the board & need to "suck" some of it off
