After pricing out Surface Pro 7 + accessories and Surface Laptop 3 13" with similar specs (ram, hd, etc.) the prices all line up close to each other. The Yoga excels more at converting between laptop and tablet. Furthermore the Yoga has Thunderbolt! The only thing that is holding me off from purchasing is battery life considering the 4k display. If the battery life is at least near Surface Laptop levels, this may be my next machine!

I got the C940 12GB ram/512 GB full HD model from best buy and it's battery was also dead which surprised me. I wasn't planning on upgrading since I purchased the C930 in March but my brother needed a laptop and he loved my c930 so he made me an offer and I couldn't say no lol and I got the new model. For me so far I love the build, the keyboard is nice and I haven't done any real battery testing but it looks like it's even more improved from last year's model which is surprising cause for me the battery life was great. And my favorite thing about this laptop and last year's model are the speakers. I just can't go back to anything else now. Looking forward to your review

Lenovo Yogas are known to have screen issues. Mine showed problems in the very first week of use. Got it fixed at the service center (loose cable). Used it for a year and the problem came up again. Took it back to the service center and they said it could not be fixed. I had purchased store warranty luckily. They gave me a cash voucher for part of the laptop value. Wont buy a Yoga ever again. I have a video on my channel about the issue.

As an owner of Lenovo Yoga 920 for about 2 years, and as much as I criticize them for their poor quality control issues. I can assure you that this is NOT Lenovo's fault at all but rather Microsoft's poor optimization of their Windows. The fans constantly kicking (which correlates to the poor battery life you just mentioned) is a sign of needless background processes running all the time (sometimes for unknown reasons), namely the Windows Defender real-time protection and the search index. These two take a huge hit at your Laptop performance because they consume the full CPU 4Ghz oftentimes which of course triggers the fans. The solution to this is disabling all the services you don't need (and trust me there are plenty), then making sure you limit or regulate the maximum CPU consumption at a threshold of 3,2 Ghz. There are plenty of tutorials that show you how to do that and it's very easy. After doing this you'll rarely ever hear any fan sound, otherwise you'll always complain about it no matter which brand you choose to get.
